  1. The three Abrahamic (... so I had trouble translating that...) religions originated in the following order; Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Islam did not branch of from Christianity although it shares the basic Abrahamic concepts. Which is what I meant. Really bad language use now that I look back. I just meant that the foundations for Islam (Ishmael, Abraham's son being blessed by God instead of Isaac, whom the Jews believe was blessed by God) were laid much much earlier.
  2. Mainly because Islam branched off from Christianity. Not at all. Islam and Judaism branched off from the same person - Abraham. Christianity was 4000 years later.
  3. You can't make blanket statements like that. It totally depends on the child.
  4. The people passing the bill need a good spanking.
  5. It would be useful for guides though.
  6. Wouldn't it have to be an "all or nothing" type of rule? If you allow some things, then users will complain about others that aren't allowed. If you want to be consistent you'll have to ban either all contact information or just say it is the users at risk and allow everything.
  7. That's because you're constraining God within time.
  8. No way. Just because God knows what will happen doesn't mean He forced it to happen. Knowing != Causing.
  9. I think half the time they create a new translation for the sole purpose of arranging the words so they can make a code out of it :P
  10. If I wasn't a Christian, I'd probably be a Muslim, as they have absolute beliefs. In this day of wishy-washy "do whatever you want, I'm too afraid to criticize what you believe!" opinions, Islam actually stands for something.
  11. Why would you make a thread where everybody has to argue things from your POV? That's fairly close minded and exclusive. "For me, in my life, where I live, at my age, arranged marriage is barbaric". Wonderful. Who cares? It's completely irrelevant to everybody but yourself.

Knives, as far as I know, if you give blood and black out after, at least in Ontario, they're not allowed to use the blood you gave :P

Yep, that's pretty much all Minocycline is. Minocycline is not retinol (I thought?), but is broad range antibiotic used to treat bacterial based (infections) acne. Is retinol really a major component in antibiotics? Well on the bottle it said it was "Minocin (Vitamin A) 100mg".
  14. If you had read my post you would see how I used science to analyze the situation. And I'm saying your entire post is irrelevant. You can't use a natural yardstick to measure a supernatural distance. It's like trying to measure the volume of a house with a one-dimensional object.
  15. As science is the study of natural phenomena, and God is supernatural, I don't think you can use science to analyze God at all.

Yep, that's pretty much all Minocycline is.

The antibiotic I posted will work. It just takes 6 weeks to take effect and is expensive.

Yep, tetracycline is a more general term for the antibiotic I recommended.

Gattree, if you're Canadian (or live in a country with free healthcare), I suggest going to your doctor and getting a prescription for Minocycline (of course, ask if it is safe for you first). It is an antibiotic used to treat acne, and though it takes one to two months to take effect (as it is an antibiotic), it is extremely effective once it kicks in. However, it is fairly expensive (~$2/pill, and you take one to two pills daily) so if you live in a country that does not pay for your medicine it probably isn't worth it. I took it for a year or two when I worked at a greenhouse (constantly dirty face), and it worked fine. But remember, there is a 99% change you will grow out of it. You might not think so at the present, but chances are you will.

So inventions came from greed? I don't think so. Inventions came from intellect and a desire to learn about the world. Obviously money was an aftereffect but if it was just greed fueling our actions we wouldn't invent stuff, we would rob others.
  21. What you could do is make your own thumbnails, upload them, and create a link to the real picture around the image tags *shrugs*.
  22. Yeah, anthropological pessimism. The belief that humans are by nature evil beings. But not moronic or irresponsible :P
  23. What he posted wasn't a philosophy. It was a blanket insult of the entire human race including himself.
