New section auf Deutsch?
I'd have to agree with Hohto. The benefits far outweigh the costs in this suggestion.

"Legal Highs" and the anti-drugs legislation
I don't think that's a fair comparison - having one drink has far less of an affect on you relative to having one .

Well it is free, you have to give us some props for at least making it as reliable as it is now without charging a monthly fee. Yeah seriously. You're getting more than you pay for.

dieing.... its underestimated
No, I'm pretty sure I would rather suffer and stay alive rather than die painlessly tonight. You would rather be in constant pain or taking painkillers? Your name reigns true... No, I value my life. You can't honestly say that you don't fear death. You actually don't care if you die tonight?

Daylight Savings Time?
I think it was done early this year to save energy? Less lights on if it's brighter outside for an extra hour.

Child Abuse
You can't make blanket statements like that. How can you say that spanking is completely ineffective for every child everywhere at all times? How can you say that non-spanking methods are more effective for every child everywhere at all times?

And because he usually doesn't play more than 3min/game anyways.

Noahs Ark
That wouldn't prove God doesn't exist - in fact, someone could look at it from another perspective and say that it would only further prove God's total grace and mercy.

Janssen got suspended for three games thats why he wasn't on the ice. That hit was brutal. I still can't believe Sutherland was 10ft away from the play and didn't call a penalty. Refs have been blowing a ton of calls lately and they're not seeing any repercussions. I hope the Leafs make the playoffs... with all their injuries, it would be awesome for them to do it but I'm not expecting anything. Tucker, Wellwood, and Peca were all out of the lineup for two months and now Kaberle's done. At least Wellwood and Tucker are back tonight though!

The validity of science.
Sure, it uncovers truth. If knowledge is what matters most to you, then I guess science is the most absolute thing for you.

Well the problem is we don't know who the mod IS because they didn't leave a note.

*technology taking over*
So taking in dying people and giving them a place to live didn't ease their suffering? Sure it wasn't the greatest place to be, but it was sure better than the treatment the Hindus gave them (ie. none). And how would she go about making them financially rich? She had no money of her own. Don't you think it's a little hypocritical to be criticizing someone who devoted their entire life to housing people with AIDS? I mean, I doubt Hitchens will ever do anything like that.

I wasn't talking about diseases, I was talking about aesthetics. And what does mother Teresa have to do with this?

*technology taking over*
I know what you mean, it's just the thought of custom babies that makes me want to hurl.

*technology taking over*
Yeah that atomic bomb is awesome! There's a fine line between technology helping us and us using technology to change our every circumstance expecting it to fix all of life's problems. When you're using an external thing (technology) to fix internal problems then problems start to arise.

This was in place when I moderated, but lately I've been noticing that there have been topics that have been locked for apparently no reason, without any notice from the moderator that locked the topic. Has the policy changed?

PS3 Wii or 360 !!!!!!
Just for the record I am the opposite of Blue - I can't stand the PS3, but I have to agree with her in that I think the last couple Zeldas have looked extremely childish.

My trip to Vimy Ridge soon
Gosh, I highly doubt that the world is that prejudiced against Americans, and I'm talking mainly about Europe. I went to Sweden last summer with an American friend (I'm Canadian). At one point we were walking down the street and we were stopped by two older men; they just wanted to talk. When they found out I was from Canada, they were very jovial and "pleased" (for lack of a better term) that I was from Canada. When they found out my friend was from Texas, they immediately said "F**k America", among other profanities. Just a personal experience I've had.

Best Country?
If you think about it, that's ~1/20 people. That's quite a high rate.

Canadians are generally well-liked by all. Americans, not so much (be it their fault or no). If Europeans hear someone speaking English and the accent isn't obvious they're going to assume you're American - having that Canadian flag is a good indicator that you aren't and are more likely to be treated fairly.
