Yeah, and I've never heard a human being say "Wow, science has brought me so much fulfillment in life! I'm so glad I've spent my life acquiring knowledge that neither affected my heart nor helped me love the people around me". When you're on your deathbed, are you going to say "Gee, I just wish I had studied science more!"?

It's just the opposite. God becomes more personal the more we realize science can't fill the relationship-shaped void in our lives. Do you honestly think science is going to bring you fulfillment in life? The Bible doesn't say God didn't create other beings. The Bible doesn't say that Adam and Eve are responsible for every being that ever existed either.
  5. If you doubt the existence of Jesus then you doubt the existence of any other historical figure.
  6. Aren't you simply the converse? Since Jesus' "body" is there, you are praising it and worshiping it as "proof" of the entire story being true, but if it wasn't there, you would simply dismiss it as coincidence.

You're equivocating abuse with discipline. That's just not correct.
  8. Except for the huge about of disc space all those versions and updates will be taking up. Yeah I was wondering about that... can I just remove all old updates? Or does that screw stuff up?

How could you do this, other than observing Carbon for the 60000 years it is apparently accurate to?

Congratulations, nobody cares. Your argument seems to be as follows: 1. I am so smart, be in awe! 2. I say religion is laughable. 3. Therefore I'm right and you are an idiot. Whoops, I mean gullible. Why not explain your views instead of puffing yourself up as some sort of god and then giving completely unintelligible reasons behind your views?

For all intents and purposes, no. I believe the creation account is symbolic, or, God created an aged universe.

Yep, still an assumption on science's part though. That's all I was saying.

You said that his "proof" for young Earth was based on the assumption that the sun decays constantly? Carbon dating is a simple tool people use to proof a not-young earth. However, carbon dating is based on the belief that carbon decays at a constant rate. You can call it a "non-belief", but you and I both know that we haven't observed carbon's decay for 60000 years, we just assume that it's constant for 60000 years.

Doesn't belief in Carbon dating imply an assumption that carbon's half-life is constant?
  15. Macromedia Fireworks isn't bad. It doesn't have the functionality Photoshop does, but I've found it alot easier to use.

Atheist Nazis? What about them? Atheist Nazis slaughtered homosexuals. Therefore, there exists a law opposing homosexuals that wasn't created by Christians and/or Christianity, and what you said is untrue. Unless I'm foolish for stating truth.

    Atheist Nazis?
  18. Ah yea, nothing like having to side-scroll to read a post because your signature is so wide.
  19. I don't think people are as worried about destroying the Earth as they are of destroying all the life on Earth.
  20. Oh ya, that Dan Brown... he knows his stuff.
  21. Yes, Finland is a very nice country to live in. It currently holds the title for: -Most technologically advanced -Healthiest -One of the highest life expectancies next to Sweden -One of the best countries to live in according to the UN -Has one of the highest media freedoms -Has one of the best democracies where you don't have to be rich to be President -Has very good connections with the EU considering it's Prime Minister was once the EU's President -Etc. I agree, I'm so moving there! I Finland, that's why I put the Finnish flag in the most important area in my room. Don't forget the massive amounts of mosquitoes :P. If I were to move somewhere other than staying in Canada, it would be Norway. But as it stands, Canada's 1 person/km^2 isn't that large of a population density :P
  22. WHAT ARE YOU NUTS? Everyone college teachs you, you can get for free on internet! \ You can get a free degree on the Internet? Do show me where. You can get a degree from a college?

  24. Get Firefox. Sorry punky, couldn't resist :P *hugs*
  25. Ah, in Canada it is sexuality that is the main standard. Grossly gory movies would get an AA14 rating but movies with nudity would get R ratings.
