  1. No difference, it's the same league. Just like in the MLB the Toronto Blue Jays are based on Canada but it's in the same league as every other American team.
  2. I'm not American, but I'll tell you why I don't like soccer. 1. Diving. Players getting touched and then you see them rolling all over the field crying their eyes out until a foul is called. Then they are magically healed. 2. Lack of scoring. Who wants to watch a 90 minute game that ends in 0-0? Of course, there needs to be a scoring balance. In basketball, a basket means nothing. In soccer, you rarely see a goal. This is why I prefer hockey. You're likely to see ~5 goals in a game. So there's excitement in that regard, but a goal actually means something.
  3. No, I don't play anymore, and yes, I'm hoarding three party hats and a Halloween mask in my bank for absolutely no reason other than to appreciate in value.
  4. If you were driving a car and on one side of the road was a hamster, and on the other side a toddler, you and me both know you wouldn't even consider hitting the toddler :P
  5. Hah, this time, I'm actually not talking about religion. Honest :P Just pointing out that we all have basic beliefs.
  6. I started talking about this in response to someone saying that if anyone could say what happens after death, it is science since every other source of knowledge is based on beliefs. I was merely pointing out that belief in science as a way to truth is a belief in and of itself.

Actually, you know what? I don't want the extra 100 years either. The world's going to the dogs.

That was 3 january. Still haven't smoked. 8-) Nice, keep it up! :D

I wouldn't take immortality. However, an extra 100 years or so? Definitely :P
  10. Scientists indirectly make it all the time when they use the scientific method and call the results knowledge. That's exactly my point. If there is no other way to acquire knowledge, where did the knowledge that the scientific method is the only way to acquire knowledge come from?
  11. Rule 7 says not to use any software that will give you an unfair advantage to the game. Swiftswitch is just a world changer with a few other utilities, to help people deal better with lag. Some people, accessing the internet can be a nightmare. Theoretically SwiftSwitch can endanger user accounts.
  12. Valentine's Day isn't about being nice to your SO. It's about your SO expecting something wonderful because Hallmark has taken Valentine's over in an attempt to get ridiculously rich over absolutely nothing.

  14. If you're only saying the same thing over and over again, why post more than once? I have made discussion on the topic without referring to religion. That invalidates your argument, so stop posting here.
  15. You are using the religion ban as a shield. I never talked about religion. You're bringing it up to avoid the arguments I have made.
  16. It doesn't matter. My point was that scientists that rely on the scientific method for all truth believe a self-refuting claim. Not to mention that "performing an experiment" requires dependence and faith that your observations can be trusted - something else that cannot be proven. I was simply trying to say that everybody has basic beliefs. Everybody beliefs in things that are unprovable. Since adam was talking about science, I just gave the scientific method as an example of a basic belief.
  17. If someone seriously brings up the flying spaghetti monster, it is discussing religion. If someone jokingly brings up the flying spaghetti monster, they are insulting religious people. Either way it's a broken rule. Science is based on self-refuting claims though. Science claims that the only way to knowledge is the scientific method, correct? However, the scientific method cannot test itself, leaving the scientific method completely self-refuted.

Okay, if this is a joke, then everyone make fun, I'm new at this :P. There isn't a way to refresh your .css other than re-uploading it, is there?
  19. I can't believe I've missed this. Well okay, I can, since I haven't played RuneScape for quite a while. It is quite impressive though, if it were implemented it might draw me back for a week or two ;)
  20. That's circular logic. It's not circular logic, it's an argument from consequences (argumentum ad consequentiam) :P Either way, it's fallacious. This is a question that calls our anthropological and metaphysical beliefs. If you're a materialist, then of course, we couldn't exist any further. If you're a dualist (material and non-material things exist), then our material body would cease to live, but our non-material, or spiritual, or soul, would continue to exist. Of course, you can be a dualist and believe that humans are purely material beings as well, in which case you would agree with the materialist.

They're left centred now :? This is ridiculous, I guess it just takes my webserver a few minutes to make changes to styles.

    Okay I changed the .css import back to And my .css is as follows; body { font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; } h1 { font-size: 13pt; text-align: center; } h2 { font-size: 10pt; text-align: center; } h5 { font-size: 9pt; text-align: left; } a:link { text-decoration: none; color: sienna; margin-left: 1px; } a:visited { text-decoration: none; color: sienna; } a:active { text-decoration: none; } ul { text-align: left; } li { text-align: left; } It all seems to be working except for the li/ul now. The alignment is centered.
  23. Since when did religion become childish? Seriously, I don't really like the idea that when you're views on things after life/death are based on religious ideas, you can't voice them. I think what he meant was that breaking the temporary ban on religion was childish. It's not the subject matter, it's the principle of breaking rules.
