  1. Main things were hockey skates and a hockey stick!!! Both Rbk gear, I'm pretty excited for hockey.

That's exactly what I was getting at. Anyone that gets punched in the face for the (pseudo)-reason mentioned about, and doesn't think it's objectively wrong has some serious ethical thinking to do.

So what happens when someone does something to you that you feel is wrong? I feel like they did something wrong against me, because of my set of morals, but thats at the time. I always look back on it, and know that they may have a reason that they find alright about it. "One countries love is another's hate." So if someone punches you in the face, you just walk away?
  4. Heys, it's Rae! I'll never forget all of the "Rae bans" :P

  6. I've been to central America, the US, and Sweden. I've been all over Canada, as it is my home country, and thus I know English fluently, a little bit of French, and I knew a bit of Swedish while I was there (just enough to communicate roughly with a five year old).
  7. Why do you think it's lost maturity? Because people like you that are close to being "mature" declare themselves superior and leave.
  8. Sorry guys, I'm a male. I know you all thought otherwise.
  9. A Festivus for the rest of us! Actually, we just open gifts on Christmas Eve after a nice dinner. Steaks this year :)
  10. Your perception of physical beauty changes as you grow up. I remember the girls I liked in high school, and the girls I thought were ugly. Looking back on my yearbook, my opinions have changed, and it's only been a couple years since I left high school. So maybe the "adults" are being honest with you. Younger kids also call other kids ugly because of their own self-consciousness. And by the way, depending on your age, you really shouldn't be worrying about getting a girlfriend.

Tell that to any wheelchair bound veteran from Vietnam or Iraq. Just google gunshot or exit wounds on images and you'll think twice :| Either way it's irrelevant to my point. Just because something doesn't kill you doesn't mean it's not unhealthy. I guess they didn't see past the example into the abstract idea.
  12. That'd be pretty awesome considering salmonella only comes from eggs and poultry. O rly?!? I thought it came from any type of raw meat.
  13. Hooray Maddox. :P And just to clear this up, the eggs we eat are unfertilized. That means that no matter how long you let it sit around, it will not ever grow into a chicken. If anyone remembers from the topic I started a few weeks ago, I love meat. No. You mutilate your meat with fire beyond recognition. It doesn't count as meat... it's just a hunk of oxidized cells.
  14. . Thats awsome MPC :). Kind of on the same subject, I was at the mall today. We were waiting in a line in the target inside and a little girl and her two parrents were with her. The girl was crying a little bit [not loud, just that she was sad] because there wasn't this movie there that she wanted. The dad told her that he would call santa, so he got out his phone and started to "dial santas number". I'm not sure if he was talking to a real person or not, but he started talking on the phone like he was talking to him. "Yeah, hello, santa? Ah, hey santa. Do you have [move she wanted] in your sack? You do! Great!" The girls eyes just got really big ;p. How adorable! :D That's assuming that he actually got the movie for her :P

Not everyone who smokes gets lung cancer And not everyone that gets shot dies, but it doesn't mean it's not bad for you.
  16. Do you believe in love at first site? No. Love isn't skin-deep. Do you believe in true love? What is your definition of "true love"? Are you currently in a relationship? No. Are you just getting out of a relationship? Was it bad? No. Last one was pretty bad. How do you handle rejection and/or break ups? A couple days of suck, and then I'm fine. I'm a fast adapter. If you are dating, do you trust your partner enough that you would choose to marry them if you felt ready? Yes. What about conceiving/adopting a child? I would have to be extremely sure of myself before going forward with it. Nonphysically speaking, are you the man or the woman of the relationship? This is a false dilemma. Do you believe in sex only after marriage? Yes. If you aren't committed enough to get married, then you aren't committed enough to enter a sexual relationship. Have you or would you ever have a one night stand? Specify which. No. The very idea twists everything that makes sex good. Do you tend to date based on looks or personality? There needs to be both. I won't date a dimwit but I believe there needs to be attraction. If an extremely ugly person, with an amazing personality great for you, wanted to date you, would you accept? No. There needs to be attraction. Do you do the asking out, or do you wait for others? As the guy I think I'm pretty much expected to initiate everything. Which sucks :P. Do you get dates at the 'snap of a finger'? Never tried. Have you ever been on a date? Yes. Have you ever kissed someone before? Yes. Do you believe high school love is meaningless and won't amount to anything? That's a complex question. I believe it's generally meaningless, but I also think it might evolve into something with meaning after high school. In a relationship, do you tend to take control? No. Given my last relationship, I might try to next time :P Have you ever been cheated on? Yes. Have you ever cheated on someone? No. Have you ever been madly in love? No. Maybe madly infatuated with someone, but not in love. Have you ever yearned to have someone you couldn't have? Yes. Have you ever broke out in jealousy because of something related to love? Yes. Do you currently have a crush on someone? Not really. There's females I'm attracted to, but I wouldn't call them crushes. Do you know if someone has a crush on you? Oh there probably is. Females my age tend to be very discreet about it. Would you have the guts to ask out your crush? I wouldn't shy away if I knew it was the right thing at the right time. Do you believe love is too commercialized ie. Valentines Day, etc.? Yes.
  17. Gross, no wonder it's so curly! I wash my hair once every three weeks :P. The natural oils are healthy. Once every three weeks? Man. I know it's healthier, but no thanks. Wow... I couldn't stand it, I have to feel super clean at all times. :P Yeah, when my hair is clean. I can't do anything with it. The more I leave it, the better it looks.

I don't drive a car. I use public transportation. So driving is certainly not a necessity. Oh, how silly of me. I thought public transportation polluted the earth. I guess it doesn't. Uh.. 1) I pointed out that driving isn't a necessity, wich you didn't comment on. Driving is a necessity. If you aren't the one steering the wheel, you're still "getting a drive" to wherever you're going. If nobody drove, you'd be screwed. Maybe so. Provide a source though. Also, I drive to places that public transit doesn't take me. I take a bus to school. Either way, it's irrelevant. You're still polluting the earth by taking public transit. My point wasn't a "this is more than that", my point was, some pollution is necessary. Obviously you can say that my driving isn't necessary since I could take a bus - at which I will respond and say your taking a bus isn't necessary because you can drive a bike. And when it all comes down to it smoking 5 packs of cigarettes a day is extremely unnecessary and completely blows your bank account.
  20. Exactly my view.

  22. So you're a fellow St. Catharine'ser eh? They lived in my neighbourhood, jammed in my next-door-neighbours garage :P. And yeah, it's "Alexis". Even though it's scene kids getting into them now, I am glad that they are getting a larger fan base outside of Canada.

Hollywood may have exaggerated it some, but it is based off of Frank Miller's graphical novel called "300". From what I remember from the trailer, it is a lot like the graphic novel. Like they did with Frank Miller's Sin City, the scenes in the movie are pretty much exactly like they are in the novel. Yeah but doesn't that make the movie a cover of a cover? :P The comics were based off of a Greek battle - it doesn't make any sense for a movie to be based off of a book that is based off of a battle.

You'll enjoy waking up :P. Puss will cake together kind of gluing your eyelid shut until you wash your face. Oh, I have had the joys of pinkeye myself.

Would you mind providing me with these "pro's"? Hypocrites yes, but it doesn't change the fact that smoking is an additional pollutant in the air. I may drive a car and pollute the air that way, but driving a car is a necessity (smoking is not). Also, smokers drive cars as well - they're just doing a little extra polluting. Since they are polluting the air more than I am, in unnecessary ways, and sometimes blowing this pollutant right into my face, I can legitimately complain.
