I'm inclined to agree with you that there needs to be more higher level prayer spells - if nothing else than to give an incentive to train toward them. I wasn't real thrilled with the ones they added a few months ago. Perhaps the stacked protections are weaker - i.e. 50% protection instead of 100% protection? I like the idea, but there are some caveats I'd add to it: 1. Level 85, not level 58. It needs to be the highest level teleport self spell. 2. 4 laws, 2 souls, 3 airs. The two souls make it an expensive spell to cast, so it would only be used sparingly. 3. You would not be able to use the spell in the following conditions: a. Target location is in the wilderness deeper than level 20 b. Target is somewhere you can't go (due to skill/level/quest experience/etc) c. The target is not on ground level (i.e. can't teleport into a dungeon, to the abyss, etc) d. The target is within 25 squares of an existing teleport target area. e. Can't teleport into a mini-game area. Here's the reasons for the restrictions: a. Pretty obvious - you can't teleport out of the wildy from there either. b. Again obvious - if you haven't done legends, you can't tele into legends guild c. Must be ground level - this makes it used for the right reasons mostly. Keeps you from teleporting past the entrance of the brimhaven dungeon, for example. d. Why not just use that teleport instead? e. Again, pretty obvious. This spell would not require a quest to unlock. It would be interesting, though, if you had to do a cooperative mini-game with this player before you can use it with him or her. - Sligo

I've thought before that being able to stack the protection prayers would be cool, but that would defeat the purpose of having multi-attack mode monsters. The purpose of having these types of monsters (and not having stacking prayers) is to make these tough monsters more challenging. Even if you have all 99's, you are still vulnerable. There is no "God" mode in the game and that's the way it should be. - Sligo

Yes, I find unsolicited propositions annoying. However, as long as it's nothing more than a "please be my bf/gf", it's no different than "Need free stuff please!" Particularly annoying when I (a guy) am playing my F2P female character! However, I tell them that I am a 41 year old man, and they usually desist. If they don't, I put them on ignore. As for offensive names, there is already a rule about it. If the name gets kicked out by the in-game sensor, you can't create it anyway. For names that make it past the sensor, well, you can do the same thing - ignore them. Typically these characters are non-mains and don't last particularly long anyway (how many of these types of names do you see in top scores?). Therefore, my opinion on this suggestion is that nothing needs to be done since the game already handles these situations adequately. - Sligo

What is the purpose of you going and looking for cheaters? I agree, cheaters have no place in this game, and if you see clear evidence of such, it should be reported, but to actively look for cheaters? That's not your job, unless you are a moderator. If you still insist on seeking cheaters, I would at least ask you to not entrap people and report them for cheating when all they've done is fall for a trap you've set (and they'd otherwise be innocent.) - Sligo

Here's what I don't understand. Why do you have the need to swear in a game? It's not like it's gonna make a difference in the big scheme of things if another player in the game isn't playing the way you think they should be playing. I get called a noob and cussed at because I don't want to sell something, I just say, "Get a life!" because there's more to life than Runescape. And if I get cussed at, I report them. If they get banned for it, it's their fault. There's nothing more to it than that. - Sligo

I don't have a problem with the way the skills are structured. With the addition of new stuff - quests, mini-games, etc, various skills are actually becoming incrementally easier to raise. - Sligo

Here are my carefully considered thoughts on this topic: 1. Jagex will NOT reset scores of players. We already have that ability - it's called start a new account. Cancel membership on the old account and start membership on the new account, and wha-la, do-it-yourself reset. 2. Jagex will NOT extend the high level total beyond 99. In 5 years of the game, we only have 3 players who have achieved this lofty goal on all skills. We read in Zezima's interview that there are still challenges and still things going on to keep the interest of these players. 3. Jagex will likely add new skills. When new skills are added, new activities are provided to all players. Jagex will also continue to add new quests, mini-games and other activities which add to the dynamic nature of the game. What would I like to see? I think it would be cool if Jagex created a special server where only "elite" players could log in to. These players would have to have a minimum total skill level of around 90-90% of the total possible maximum skill total. On this world, various "minor" modifications would be in place, including all monster combat values would be doubled. There would be certain items (weapons, armor, etc) that would only be available on this elite server. (Like member items on a free world, these items would not be available to the rest of us rabble.) As players progressed into this elite level, more servers would be added as demand requires. I doubt this cool idea would happen, but it's an interesting idea, at least. - Sligo

I'm definitely self-sufficient. I rarely buy materials from others, but often sell finished goods to other players. Along with that, I've also been maintaining my Miscellania kingdom for over a year, which has helped immensely with my herblore (average 100-150 herbs each week, set at 80%) and about 1k coal per month (set at 10%). What this has done is kept my funds low, so I'm not able to afford large quantities of materials with which to make stuff. However, if someone wants me to make stuff for them (d-hide or full mith armor, enchanted jewelry, craft runes thru laws, etc), I'm usually willing to help out. - Sligo

As far as I'm concerned, I really think the rule is pointless. It's easy enough as it is to get the things you want in the game without going through the effort of earning it, so why have the rule in the first place? The key argument here isn't the experience in crafting runes or the relative difficulty in doing so. The driving factor of something's value is its use. Nature runes are used primarily to generate money. I'm not talking about selling the runes, I'm talking about Hi-alching. Death runes are used for killing things. Basically, you can't compare the two functions because they are so drastically different. In my opinion, the economic factors that set their relative market prices are so drastically different, a true comparison can't be made. Different people, who have different goals within the game, will value each differently. I don't PK, and I don't use magic in a lot of fighting, so, for me, death runes aren't as valuable. However, I do use nature runes for high-alching as my primary source of in-game income. Therefore, nature runes have a higher value to me. I hope this makes sense. Now, as for changing the store price of deaths... I really have no clue, nor do I really care. - Sligo

I'm a bit confused here. My total level is the sum of all my skills. My combat level is based on a calculation of my combat skills. I'm of the opinion that the combat level formula needs a bit of adjusting simply because a pure will almost always defeat a balanced player of equal combat level (There are a lot of other factors that aren't considered when calculating combat level that should be). So, why would a total level be a calculation based on combat level? It doesn't make sense. As for your total level being whatever you want it to be, that really doesn't make sense, either. Your total level is based upon the effort you have put in to the game. You can only make it higher by doing more work, but you can never make it lower. So, by definition, it cannot be "what you want it to be." - Sligo

Its a discussion thread, and we are discussing. Not everyone scams, not everyone is guilt free of attempting to scam. I didn't say that everyone is a scammer. I'm saying that everyone should be careful about who they trade with and should always be on guard. Sorry for drifting off topic a bit. I understand the distinction of Jagex putting some kind of indicator on a character who has been "convicted" of being a scammer, but that can backfire big-time because people accuse others of scamming when in fact there was no scam at all. Anyway, I like the idea of putting an examine option on players, and allowing players to specify their own examine text (barring censor approval, of course). I've seen it suggested many many many times. The idea isn't original, but I think popular enough that I'll bet we'll eventually see it happen unless Jagex has a philosophical reason for not doing it that we aren't aware of. - Sligo

I am not in favor of this idea because a key component of Runescape is the interaction with other players. Unless the console platforms have full keyboards, switching to them undermines this key component. Also, the internet-browser based format is plenty sufficient for the game engine and it really doesn't need to move to another format. - Sligo
