  1. The bonkers. Their techno is AMAZING!! An English group from the early 90's...basically rave techno. It's great stuff. Also, if you're into Russian techno ÃÆÃ
  2. Go explore wikipedia. Learn about everything you've wanted to learn about but haven't had time or the ability to do so... That can keep you occupied for days. Seriously.
  3. Seeing as mostly teenagers are here...you'll get lots of late owls. The older you get, the earlier and earlier you tend to wake up. Personally, I'm 18, and while I don't mind sleeping in on the occassion...I HATE sleeping in past 10. I feel like half my day is already gone. When I had snow days just recently, I just stayed up even though it was 6am (that's when I normally wake up for school). It was GREAT though...I mean...I had 16 hours of my day all there for the taking. I don't know, I tend to be in the middle. I'm not really a night owl, but I definitely don't hit the sack until 11 or midnight usually.
  4. Quick find code: 15-16-60-39498709 That thread in the rs forums explains everything. A jagex mod actually talks with players for about 8 pages...it's an interesting read. :)
  5. If you come to a forum infested by teenagers looking for serious medical advice, I'd say you need to ask yourself a few questions first... This is just for more run-of-the-mill advice. There are some of us who know a few handy things. For instance, I know a bit because my dad's a doctor and mom's a nurse, so I pick up on things.
  6. EMP would just kill a RPG's electronics, but if it's flown far enough, it's still going to slam into the armour. That's forgetting the fact that it takes a nuclear explosion to generate a strong enough EMP - which is only in a burst rather than a constant effect. You want to stop a rocket, you pile on the reactive armour. That was a common misconception also. In reality, there was just a gun on the tank that would lock on to the RPG and shoot it before it hit the tank, causing it to explode in mid air.
  7. I think kids SHOULD be "exposed" to all this stuff. Personally, I've been watching R movies since I was very young, hearing curse words, knowing about a lot of things. I've known about drugs, alcohol, sex, and plenty of details about all of them for much longer than most of my peers. I mean seriously. If anything, it lets kids deal with things over time... And guess what? I'm not going crazy because I just discovered alcohol or drugs, I'm not screwing every girl because I finally discovered I have genitalia yesterday, and I'm not cursing up a storm because I just figured out these words get reactions out of people. As a matter of fact, I almost never curse, I never drink/drugs, and I'm a pretty decent guy (if I do say so myself). Let kids know. They will someday. Proper parenting will ensure that kids can "deal with" such real world topics in a mature way... Not to mention war and killing is so often put on TV...why can't they curse? *sigh* I've never liked censorship.
  8. That's not photoshopped at all... It is, however, a 30 second exposure to achieve the entire circle around the car.
  9. I told you of my adventures throughout the world, And of my discoveries from afar. You merely stared at me stunned in disbelief, Twitching your chin incoherently, As if you had never heard the truth before. You used to be so comfortable, In your charming abode of bliss. I shattered your faith in all of humanity, In the blink of an eye. You have been betrayed, Your former reality raped before you, Screaming and writhing as it slowly dies. You won̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t ever believe again, In hope or in God, For they are dead, Along with your certainty of anything. Your existence will become an inescapable void, Your soul scratching for an exit From the torment of pain that confines you, And drowns you forever in a meandering river of despair. Faithlessness will surround you, And it will become you, Just as it has become me.
  10. Leveling is the basis, but it is by no means the only thing you can do. :) And also...this community that people keep talking about that's dissapearing...you've just closed your eyes. It's there, you just have to go look for it. :) (SODB, for instance)

    Plane Trip

Dude...I fly all the time. Suggestions: 1. A good book 2. An ipod 3. Your friends and a deck of cards (best one) 4. A very comfy neck wrap (and a small person in back of you so you can lean back) 5. Gameboy/PSP or other handhelds 6. Homework (If you really need to) 7. Admire the landscape as you pass it by in the plane through the window Also, I suggest that you look out the window the entire take-off and landing. The only way to get over your fear is to confront it. Looking out the window is a great way to do that...and it's really neat to see the layout of the land. I hope that helps. :)
  12. I'm going to step up on my soap box here, and I'm probably going to ramble a heck of a lot about things that aren't entirely related to this thread. Read on if you'd like. The bible...and the creation of the Earth. Interesting. How about I start from a practical perspective. I can't prove anyone here wrong who supports the bible. It's simply impossible because it is largely faith based. On the other hand, I couldn't prove anyone wrong who supports modern science (science in favor of old-earth) because science hasn't nearly discovered everything, and hardly anything can be proven "for sure" because we simply don't have environmental records of times long past... If you want to argue about the age of the earth, go ahead. You won't get anywhere. Now for a different view than those two. What if I told you it doesn't matter? The bible doesn't matter, although the wisdom in it is worthwhile (of which there is much, although some is rather archaic and was merely a step in the development of the over-all human system of morality and way of thinking). God is dead. It doesn't matter if he wrote the bible, he's freaking gone. He's asleep somewhere...lost somewhere...forgot about earth...died...never existed in the first place. To be quite frank, God's an asshat. Seriously. What being punishes his own creation for wanting knowledge. Today, we all want knowledge! We want to know! Innocence doesn't last forever. What was wrong with Eve's decision to take the fruit and eat it? Is knowledge a sin? Or could I be wrong...is merely disobeying God's orders a sin...? If so, then God's an idiot. By simply disobeying him, humanity was cast out from the garden and doomed to suffer for all of eternity until the son returned to earth a second time, and even then all of the non-believers will be "separated', whatever that actually means. God's a tyrant; a worthless, lazy, no good tyrant. Quite frankly, humanity doesn't owe him jack other than maybe a thanks for being alive in the first place. And that's assuming there is a God. I honestly don't see why people thank him for everything that happens. Like I said, maybe feel free to thank him for what is, but surely not what happens or occurs. He's dead. He's gone. He doesn't do anything anymore. The bible isn't totally irrelevant; as I said earlier it contains some worthwhile wisdom. However, to believe something purely because it says that it was written by inspired writers for God is quite foolish. I suppose that's faith? Oh, and one last thing. None of you have any right to be horrified or otherwise angry at my disdain towards God. Why is that? Well, God created man to be like himself, and to be free, didn't he? I'm just using my brain to THINK. I'm not even doing anything bad or immoral. I'm thinking. If God doesn't approve of thinking, then I wouldn't want to be with such a horrid creature. Then again, I suppose Eve dared to think and thirst for knowledge...and look where we are now... No offense to any of you who believe in the bible. If it floats your boat, feel free. You know, sometimes I wish that the bible and religion were enough for me. I could be blissfully happy, content in thinking that I know everything worthwhile knowing. I'm sometimes sad that my mind thirsts for more. I am not satisfied with religion, let alone faith. There's also that human factor... It's incredible how people can twist religion so terribly. I'm sorry that all religion is quite corrupted... Corrupted by everyone. My last tid-bit - Some of you may say that you see God everywhere in daily life. Well, I see him too. He's there, faced my way so that I can see him, with eyes glazed over.
  13. L-96 Sniper Rifle You know what's hilarious about this? I OWN a type 96 Airsoft Sniper Rifle...and I fire it all the time...lol. That quiz impressed me.
  14. 18godzilla, all of your arguments are...well...arguable. There is one, however, which I do not think you can argue. Please, explain to me how the light from the distant stars is here. How can we see anything in the universe past our own solar system. We simply wouldn't be able to, for light wouldn't have had enough time to travel this far. While I admire your commitment to using science to support the bible (much better than just saying "because the bible says so", so thank you), the science is simply not solid enough. Granted, it obviously goes both ways. But please, I'd like to hear an answer to the star question. And it always will go in circles until we are able to prove more ideas. The sad thing about us humans is that we die and can't give our knowledge to our young ones as it was, in tact. Therefore younger people must learn...and it's through threads like these that they learn various ideas. Circles indeed.
  15. If you never fought, or never commited crimes. Then you couldn't be a full-fledged human. Trying to imitate someone to that level is impossible. Oh really? I guess so... But still, the degree to which people are able to imitate that ideal is much better than what they actually do. Then again, I'm a bit different than most people. It's almost impossible to make me angry/irrational... Oh well. I have my hopes still.
  16. It's too bad that religion has been corrupted. ie if you were actually completely Christian, and you believed in everything Jesus said (he appears to embody the principles and ideas of Christianity the best, imo), then they would never fight, never war, never commit crimes... They would live as he did. Even in the face of death or the annihilation of Christianity altogether, they should turn the other cheek (unless, of course, there were a peaceful way of resolving the situation). Same goes for the other religions, mostly. Gods never die. They are merely forgotten. I'd like to forget them all.
  17. A philosopher. I would be one if it were a viable occupation...
  18. Once again, I'm going to say something. Just as much crap is going on now as has ever been...(except for the very beggining). The thing is, as time goes on, more and more people know about all the scams and what-not that can be used. Also, with more players and items come more and more ways to scam and abuse. So the variety and number of incidences have increased, but proportional to rsc, there's hardly any more going on now than was then.
  19. I'd argue that the world, as a whole, is better than it has ever been. The difference now is that there are fewer closed doors, and so we can see everything. In past years, many of the things we know of now would have been completely foreign or unfathomable. We also have more people today in the world, which in itself poses new problems that never existed in the past.
  20. Run for about 1 hour on each of 2 or 3 days per week. (stretching included here) I also do around 50 push ups every night...you won't get huge, but it gives a little tone.
  21. I hope you guys aren't getting confused on your temperature measurements. Tmr here in Ohio it's going to be (or so they think) -1 F, which is what, -18 C? Then there's a 10-15mph wind...so tack on like -10F more to that. Just so you know. 15F wouldn't get anyone canceled.
  22. Beta was great though... People didn't care about money or items, so the economy was BOOMING! I was able to buy full rune/dmed in no time by selling runes to other players and whatnot. It was a cool thing to see honestly.
  23. There's not a snowball's chance in hell. He's just making a point.
  24. Speaking as a high school senior, it's really great! At first it's a little different, with lots of new people to meet. But it quickly becomes great, and by junior/senior year, you've made tons of really great friends. Personally, I'm going to miss most of my friends because we're all splitting up and going to different colleges. Enjoy high school man, it's the last 4 years when you can really feel like a kid. (Although some people still manage to act like idiots in college...)
  25. LOL. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a fellow Digg reader here!
