And who's to say the virtual life isn't better than the real life? There is a reason people try to escape reality so much. I say you do whatever floats your boat, it's your choice. As for the intelligence thing...there may be some correlation (but you could by no means even develop a sterotype). The smarter kids in my high school class nearly all played video games, much more so than many of the other kids. Computer gamers, as a whole, were more intelligent than the console gamers. But that's just an observation from one high school...so I don't know. I can see why you'd draw that conclusion...but like I said, I wouldn't automatically assume anything about anyone. Girlfriends/boyfriends are very time consuming for younger people...at least in my experience. They'll get you away doing other things besides video games quite easily (sometimes abandoning friends for a while, as happened with one of my friends...although he later realized his mistake and the group of us welcomed him back). Oh, and I would suppose the intelligence correlation is more personality dependent than anything else. Quiet(er) kids are more likely to be more devoted to school, so they may just be trying harder. Just an idea, I guess.

Absolutely great guide man... I have a feeling it won't get as much attention as it deserves, but still very well done, and I want you to know that. I find it to be quite useful, especially with those figures in determining what's best to do depending upon your income lvl. That's definitely unique to your guide. The only thing I worry about is that guides dedicated to an individual skill will have more detail/options than yours, and so will be used more. It's hard to do every skill in depth...although you did it pretty well anyway.

It's because they can actually hurt...ever been bitten by a spider? I have, and lemme tell you, it's like a giant bee sting that stays around for a week. Hurts like heck. That and there's always a chance of a brown recluse being around where I live.

You need motivation first...get an idea, and stick to it. I'd suggest you go to a local park and run...stretch for a good 15 minutes and then run your heart out...look at it as exploring your local area. It can definitely be something to do. Otherwise, join a cause somewhere...

And I got to 75 smithing and made 280k per hour using those prices to my advantage! :) I let a friend fletch the arrows on since i'm 99 fletching already...it worked out well for the both of us.

12 gem tips from a dragonstone....the only one that's different is onyx. I don't know how many more you get from it though.

That's the best combo (by a little bit). However, it *may* not be as good against high defense opponents, although I'm not too sure.

Well, guys...it's not in my interest to say this...but... I went to the bloodvelds and tried out the mage short bow, crystal bow, and dark bow each for 15 minutes. The crystal bow (at 8/10) gave me about 12,500 exp, which is 50,000 exp/hour. The mage short bow (with steel arrows) gave me about 10,500 exp, which is 42,000 exp/hour. The dark bow (with steel arrows) gave me around 7,500 exp, which is 30,000 exp/hour. Hence it's bad for training, but it is good for KO's. Even if you used addy arrows, the MSB would still, without doubt, be better than the dark bow (people usually request this be done since a crystal bow is eventually around 72 gp per shot when the price is lowest, which is the price of addy arrows about).

That is the most incredible luck I've heard yet. I got my first bow after 12 hours of fighting them...

I made this before the enchantment for the salve amulet came out. Like I said earlier, once I get 99 strength, I may go back and do much of this over again so that I can add onto it forever and not have to worry about my combat level changing. :)

Well since the topic's already been bumped... Does anyone have any tips for dark beast slaying beyond the obvious? I'm 89 slayer, soon to be 90, and I haven't killed any yet. Just wondering if there are any helpful tips out there. :) And hoffman, those are both good questions which I could only speculate an answer for. But I'd guess there's only one type of bow. Hopefully it works like a shortbow.

So you colorblind people know, Jagex did try to make it so that the colors were of the least common types of colorblindness. I think it was mod Ash who said that at the worst, some colorblind people are no worse off than they were before the update. Just check the second trade screen and you have nothing to worry about anyway.

Hah it's great...I go to the wildy on the occasion, and I always pray. Inevitably I'm called a prayer noob...but guess what? I almost always win the fight because I fought using all of my resources. I have to put my 99 prayer to use somehow. Just ignore those other people. If it's part of the game, it's legal and you can't be called a noob if you win.

Yeah I know what ya'll mean. I'm at 89 slayer right now, and a friend and I made 143 wild pies just in case the update came out today (but thankfully it didn't and so I have another week!). I was planning on going to like 95 or 99 slayer anyway, so I guess my timing is pretty good. I should have 90 before it comes out. :)
