Meh, but see...that's why I included my class rank as well. Anywho, most people at my school who play video games are the smart ones. Either that or they're the extreme other end and they're complete idiots. Oh, and yeah, my GPA is weighted. Honors classes give an extra .5 bonus to your GPA when you take them, so that's how I'm above 4.0.

I'm at a 4.22222222 etc. That's at the end of my junior year. I'm also ranked 5th in my class out of 206. :)

Even if we were all one color, people would still be divided by other issues. Take, for example, religion. Nice idea though.

Happiness is... over-rated. There are so many more emtions which although may not be as enjoyable, are just as important.

A song that nearly made me cry when I first listened to it. The Great Below, by Nine Inch Nails. I'd like to add that I nearly cried because it's a such and incredibly beautiful song...not necessarily sad.

Computer Randomly Restarting. I HATE IT!
gonpost replied to l33thunt3r's topic in Tech and Computers
Congratulations, you have run into the random-corruption-that-causes-restart of-death-bug. I've had it before, but it affected limewire. I've had other friends have the same thing happen with other programs. Usually if you simply uninstall and then reinstall that program, that will get rid of the problem. Try that, if not, post back here. -
Way too capitalistic? Hah. I can't deny that, but could you imagine a communist economy in runescape? I'd never play the game. Ever.

Hmm...I think a NIN show could compete... But anyway, I have a chance to go to a Tool show in a few months from now, and I'm looking forward to it. Never been to one of their shows before...

Green Dragons, Ectofuntus, and the Elusive Prayer Bonus
gonpost replied to gonpost's topic in General Discussion
Whoah. :o Well...I sure didn't expect this to pop back up after 6 months of being retired. I'm flattered by the recent posts, but you don't have to bump it. :) Oh and also! The method that I used here for the ectofuntus isn't necessarily the "best" way to do it. I've heard plenty of other methods that people claim work better, the way described on my first post is simply the method I used back then. However, the green dragons and prayer bonus formula are still accurate/usable. -
That's not lag, that's just a bug with shades. It happens with all shades...I can be attacking a shade and not even see him. I found that out a while ago when I got my splitbark armor...

Chicken, beef is too chewey. Chicken can be just as moist if prepared correctly. :)

Prayer Drain has increased. ((Update)) Need Tester!!! @@
gonpost replied to deangut's topic in General Discussion
No offense Smavey, but you provide a perfect example. This prayer rumour has been around for a week or two now, so you should have noticed this "significant" change a while ago. It's only now that you hear that the drain rate may have been changed that you tend to agree with it. Did you also consider that you didn't have any prayer boosting equipment or weapons on you? That will obviously make your battle harder than usual. It's psychology. Anyway, please read my post above. It proved that drain rate has NOT changed. -
Prayer Drain has increased. ((Update)) Need Tester!!! @@
gonpost replied to deangut's topic in General Discussion
*sigh* You people and your persuadable minds. Alright, you want proof? Here's proof. This is a forumla that I came up with about 6 months ago for prayer drain rate. [ 3 + (Prayer Bonus) x (1/9)] x {[Prayer Level] + [(Prayer Level) x (1/3) x (# of Prayer Pots) x (# of Doses)]} / 60 = Number of minutes your prayer will last It worked very well. Now, I just did a quick test - 30 prayer points drained in 107 seconds, with +5 prayer bonus. That matches my formula that I created EXACTLY. Therefore, prayer drain rate has not changed. If you want to know how I made that forumla, go here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=424 ... ight=green Scroll to "elusive prayer bonus" to see a very in-depth study that I did a long time ago. EDIT: Btw, that forumla is for 60 drain rate prayers. I'm sure you can figure out the math for other drain rates. -
I want to do something that matters...100,000 years from now. Sadly, there exists no such thing. *walks away in nihilistic despair*
-
COMPLETELY FALSE!!!!!!!! A jagex mod confirmed that was untrue. Also, I did a study (a small one) comparing drain rates to a record of drain rates that I had a long time ago, and they were EXACTLY the same. That was a rumor that was spread on the runescape forums. It is completely false. Prayer is the same as it has always been.

Eh that's a bit tacky on your friends' part... With the guys I hang around, we have 3 asian guys. We hardly ever make fun of them like that...basically never...only inserting an asian joke when it's actually funny....then we come right back and make fun of ourselves being caucasian. :) Oh....and so you know, the people who yell out "hey you, the chinese kid!" probably don't intend to be mean. It's just...well...it's obvious that you're being addressed. I mean hell, if there's some kid with red hair, I'd probably say "hey you, kid with the red hair!". It works, simple as that. No harm meant.
-
Eh...I can tell Chinese apart from Japanese...usually. To be honest, I'm not sure if it matters how well people can tell where you're cultural background is from based on yours looks. I mean, hell, we're in America. I don't really care where you come from. You also have to understand how most caucasians are used to thinking. For instance, we have different hair colors, eye colors, and skin qualities (such as freckles) that make one's heritage much easier to distinguish. w/e I really don't understand how people can be offended by other people misjudging your heritage. I'm basically French in my background, but if someone called me German, I wouldn't give a dam. I mean seriuosly. If they called me Asian, well, that'd just be hilarious.

i never understood this "looks good on paper" statement. if you mean as in theory it could work, i guess i understand. but it never looked good to me. i see some people working, and other people taking the products of their labour, which sounds an awful lot like slavery. Communism/socialism/capitalism are all ECONOMIC systems, people. But btw, the reason communism never works is that, for some reason, a dictatorship always arises and thus the entire point of communism is defeated. Not to mention, just look at the poor in the US compared to the poor in any other country. It's ironic that our poor live the best, isn't it? Oh, and don't tell me it's because the US is rich. Any of the European countries is wealthy enough to be very similar. I could list a thousand reasons why communism is worse than capitalism (ok, fine, maybe not a thousand). But personally, I prefer a capitalistic economy with an influence of socialism. EDIT: Apparently no one understood the profundity of my previous post. *sigh* And I thought it was so well stated.

Ah, vanity, my favorite sin. And also the reason that you are all hypocrites.

Eh... The first season was good....along with the Columbian drug lord line... But now I can't help but hate both of them. I don't enjoy the show much any more at all...it's just...like any other show, taken to an extreme.

Well, I could play runescape when I'm bored on a Saturday night.... Or...I could be a roughty teenage boy who goes out, gets drunk, has sex, and lives at my girlfriend's house and never does anything else. I could live from weekend to weekend, with barely a thought about college. Yes, I know plenty of people like that. At least I can learn things on the net...even in runescape (somewhat). Not to mention, even if I'm not productive, I'm at least not destructive.

Go to bed at 11, wake up at 6. So that's 7 hours...which works alright for me. I only notice it if I get below 6 hours of sleep per night. Then I'm reeealllyyyy slow the next day. It's funny because I realize that I'm sorta off, but there's nothing I can do about it until I get more sleep.
-
Although some of your points are a little flawed, I can still say, welcome to the real world. There are a lot of people who never mature. On topic, I like high school pretty well. I'm a senior now and I've have to say it's been a good experience, and despite loads of homework (3ish hours a night on average), I've learned quite a bit and met many good friends. :)
-
Ah. I have a good solution. Set your alarm for the time you wish to wake up. Then, simply go to bed when you feel tired. The alarm should then wake you up the next day. Then go to bed that night once you start to feel tired. That's always been a charm for me.
