  1. They revert to the game was it was a day ago. Basically, everything you've done since the last backup occured will never have happened, and you'll be just where you were a day or two ago (whenever the last back up was of the game).
  2. Actually, the pain about these rooms is that you can't rotate them.... Rotating to make the stairs face a different way, for example.
  3. Does anyone know if you can put a garden on a second floor? I'm just wondering because I'd like to teleport in on a second floor...
  4. I'm combat level 108... I'm worth 230+ mil...mainly through long-term rare investment. So I don't actively merchant, I've only passively let my rares (now 1 rare...) gain in value over about 2 years.
  5. I'm 61 construction and I've spent a good amount...couldn't say exactly. BUT...I'm going to leel 80 and spending about 16mil all in all. I'm usually a penny pincher...but this time I've just decided to let it all go. Construction's worth it, IMO. :)
  6. You are right, yes. I could get all the logs and run myself. But who knows, that might take me 3-4 times as long. And I'm not saying this for everyone...but I can make 300k+ per hour easy, so it's not worth my time to actually do things the hard way. However, for the vast majority of runescape, you are likely correct...
  7. I decided to keep track of how much exp and money I was spending per hour...so I did a small study, and some simple math. I'm assuming: -50 Construction -Demon Butler -Using Oak LOGS (not starting with planks) -Constructing carved oak tables (6 planks per) -Having 24 open inven spaces to work with (4 spaces for cash, hammer, saw, and noted logs) And Using the following method: -Use noted logs with butler to get logs. -Use logs with butler to get planks. -Build 3 carved oak tables, then tell butler to get 24 more logs. -Quickly build 1 more table. -Take logs from butler. -Get planks from buter. -You get the idea, keep going. So, assuming that method is used (which is pretty good), I aquired the following statistics. After 30 mins: 46,080 experience gained 208k gp spent in changing logs to planks and paying butler 192k gp spent in logs (if you buy your oak logs for 250 per) This translates to: 92,160 exp per hour gained 800k net gp spent per hour So yeah...it's expensive. If I start where I am now and decide to go to 80 construction...it'll cost me 15.8 mil gp and take me about 20 hours. Just some numbers for you all...with some basic math you can adjust these numbers to fit different types of logs. Happy building! :D
  8. Guys, remember, even Jagex has only so much hard drive space to store your houses on. They don't want people to spam 100 rooms for their house and take up loads of disk space...
  9. Very nice man...BUT...could you share HOW you are training construction? I'd like to know how you're raising it up. :)
  10. A ring of charos would be too much for my conscience. I think rune claws would be pretty darn neat...I mean heck, a metal better than adamantine, the metal of the gods, must be pretty good. Otherwise...hmm...a bazillion runes to learn magic? :)
  11. She reminds me of someone I know... She has a very clever look about her, which is definately something that I like. Her eyes and her cheek bone structure are beautiful (although I'm not sure why one of her eyes appears to be incongrouous in that bad picture of her) , but when they are coupled with her jaw line and her thin neck, they make for a slightly grotesquely gaunt figure. But I must admit, with the proper shadowing and a little make-up, she's quite beautiful.
  12. Oh, but you have to realize how much they worked on this...to them, I'm sure this was worth as much as a month of content update because it's so valuable to the future. Sometimes updates like this are necessary. We get content updates almost every other time...occassions like this are necessary to the health of the game.
  13. Oh yes it's quite good... If I had the rs client open for a while, the memory usage would creep up until it was very high... Hopefully that'll be different now. Either way, I'm thankful for this update.
  14. Well...if this interests you... A long time ago...in a land far, far away... I once killed TONS of lesser demons. I had over 40 rune meds and several other items of loot. I made my first evil mil of cash from lesser coin drops and then about 440k in alching the meds. I immediately bought a mask set for 850k...sold it a bit ago for 36 mil. Besides my p hat, the best investment I ever made. :D
  15. Hmm...alright fine...sometimes I just take the opposite side for fun :), and that part didn't work...so how about this...(to hear what you will say) Why can't someone live in a virtual world? What's wrong with playing video games (even a good amount)? Why does the "real" world matter so much more than my virtual world? It's like living in a fantasy for some. What's so wrong with that, eh? Basically, who are you to say what is most important in my life. Justify "the game is truly meaningless in comparison to life". Concerning the suicides, it's not uncommon at all for someone to comit suicide over enormous losses in real life. Isn't it a shame they commited suicide? In this situation you can't just switch over to "reality" and live a "real" life, because you already are. Isn't it a shame that these people don't switch over to a virtual reality to live, just as you advocate those living in a virtual reality to live in "reality"? It's all in perspective. Take that in... Now...concerning your last sentence "the best fantasy is reality". I actually disagree with that (not taking the opposite side for kicks anymore). Few reasons. The entire reason that fantasy exists is to escape "reality". I see the lives of so many people in the world...and I wonder how your statement could ever be true. While it's a noble idea, it's simply not reality ;).
  16. And who's to say all reality isn't virtual? That this isn't all an illusion? Meh...I dunno. I'm not saying that I live for video games (that's not it in the least), I'm just saying that you might be a little too concreted into your opinion. I agree with you only to the extent that games should be only one of many things in your life. Make life an adventure, perhaps? After all, your mind is all that you can take with you after death...although even that's arguable. Oh, and your last line made me laugh. I've never heard anything more absurd.
  17. I want you guys to read this. If anything it'll liven up this incredibly old, slothy topic. http://www.shoutwire.com/comments/12681 ... ill_Us_All[/url]
  18. I am and have been cooking... So far I'm at 88 cooking...I think I'm going for 99 eventually but I'm not sure yet. It's not too bad since I watch LOTR at the same time. :)
  19. Hah I totally know what you mean. There was one day in geometry last year...I remember... I came into the class, and heard the TV was on. It was completely black and there wasn't any fuzz, there was only the loud tone that TV's make when they're on. Anyway, I didn't say anything....so it drove me crazy for the entire period. At the end I went over and hit the power button. The teacher asked me what I was doing, and I said turning off the TV. She just looked at me and said that she didn't realize it was on. What really amazes me is that no one else noticed and/or cared enough to turn it off.
  20. Here's one, just today. We decided to watch a historical movie in AP US history since we just got done with our big exam. So we figure heck, let's watch Saving Private Ryan (we're all juniors so we can watch R's with no objections). Anyway, so the movie starts...we get to the scene where the US/Canadian forces are invading on D-Day... The girl to my left turns to me and says "What war is this again"? I just stared at her for a second. Then out of the kindness of my heart, I simply said "World War II. This is the invasion of Normandy beach." She then turns to her left and tells the girl next to her. I was stunned. We had just gone through an ADVANCED PLACEMENT US HISTORY CLASS and yet they somehow managed to miss the fact that this was clearly World War II. Maybe...just maybe they could have missed that it was Normandy. But missing that it's World War II all together different...I'm just amazed. Anyway, there's something stupid for you.
  21. I think it's really cool that you two can be together on runescape, since you're separated somewhat and all. I'd never thought of runescape as something that could do that...
  22. I can make a solid, guranteed 400k an hour while runecrafting. Otherwise...well...once I have the need to make more money, then I'll try out other methods. But I haven't had to make money in years now because I've just been riding on my long term rare investments. :)
  23. I think mourning's end part 2 takes the cake over everything. I mean...come on...a huge puzzle that takes several hours to complete whilst being attacked by shadows... But it was oh so fun. :)
  24. Guys...I can still hit 150k exp an hour cooking lobsters. I'm sure that I could probably pull off 200k+ an hour with the new monkfish...
  25. I'll come! 108 combat...my 91 magic should be particularly useful. :)
