200 years ago (or there abouts...work with me) there wasn't any proof of the existence of viruses or bacteria. You over estimate the current mind-power of the human race. We're only fledglings in the universe. We are still discovering. Did you ever happen to think that perhaps God is beyond our comprehension in the first place? It's possible. I just wanted to make clear that its (or his or her) existence is possible. :) I'm not going to get dragged into this thread though...I've seen so many God threads in my days to know they are most often rather fruitless.

That's almost exactly correct. Also, what really turns me off from Coke is that Coke fizzes in your mouth a lot more than Pepsi, so it feels like I'm swallowning a big ball of frothy soda...a rather unpleasant feeling. Pepsi for me.

I'm amazed at that...I mean...that's just incredible. The amount of flexibility seems endless. I didn't watch the whole thing through, so would someone care to tell me if it's rpg style, adventure, or what?

No, sheep. Sweeping generalizations aren't good things...generally. :) People that commit suicide are hopeless, from their own point of view. Some would argue that there is no inherent purpose in life. Nihilists, for example. I could argue that my life is completely without meaning. Gross generalization. War, disease, incapacitation, hopelessness, dire pain in living, regular beatings by your parents, saving someone else. Pick your justification. Speaking from experience, you're words are true. It IS chosen. That's the only reason it can be considered sinful (though I do not agree with that), because the person is accountable for the act of killing himself. Ah, the greatest gift one could ever receive...rememberance. Do you ever wonder why there are buildings or streets named after people? They wanted to be remembered after they die. Some people donate their entire life savings to have only a local community project dubbed in his/her name. I can name a few right now. A favorite quote of mine that I saw on a grave a long time ago was, "Love's last gift, rememberance". If you guys will notice, the people who had the most sympathy for the kid were people who once thought about suicide themselves. I ask you to put yourself in the other person's shoes before you judge. It takes a lot of practice, and you can't always do it, but respect his decision as best you can. However, it all boils down to how much hope a person has. People can live through amazingly difficult situations, provided they have hope, whether it is true or imaginary.. Without hope, some people die, some people kill themselves. Personally, I live because I am still searching. I don't know for what, but I'm still looking for something...something to "complete" me, if you will. I hope that he found his peace.

Oh yeah...those have been around for a while. It used to be that when you searched for "french war victories", it would say "Did you mean, 'french war defeats'?". That was pretty funny...it's too bad they took that out once google went all corporate.

At what point in your life where you were the least social
gonpost replied to TheRealist's topic in Off-Topic
Actually, on another forum I go on, we have this thing: "Realist talk" (Sounds kinda lame) Plus it's my alias there. But basically I just say the plain facts. "Real"-ist.? Now that you made me explain it, it makes me think it's a stupid alias. :( Nah, actually I like the name. I was figuring you considered yourself a person who looks at things in a realistic way; I just wanted to hear it from you. But don't be afraid to adorn those facts with your own colorful opinion, that is, in an apporpriate fashion. :) EDIT: *looks at post below* Thanks, but let's not get this thread too off-topic...bed time for me anyway. Doing five hours of homework isn't good for anyone. -
At what point in your life where you were the least social
gonpost replied to TheRealist's topic in Off-Topic
Hmmm...your name is the realist, could you tell me why? Anywho...the point when I was least social...probably around 7th grade or so...quite a while ago. However, now, I see there is a huge difference in being anti-social and being happy on your own.... Nevermind, I really don't feel like typing right now. I could type you an entire essay on that, but nah. Just answer my first question, impress me with your answer... -
Haha I completely understand how you feel, except I got lucky. RS2 had recently been released into the final version, and I went training range in the underground pass on some dwarves. At the time, I was wearing my shiny new red halloween mask. Anywho, I was training, and a strange plant pops up. I didn't pick the fruit...so it starts attacking me, and I decide heck, I'll kill the thing. I turn on my prayer, it eventually runs out, but I still win with a good 30 hp left. Next thing I know, a little green (2) pops up on me. Oh God, I could lose my mask. I didn't have any food, so I ran for the hills! Falador bank was the nearest place I could go. I had a friend teleport to falador just in case, but I ended up making it to the bank with around 10 hp left. So yeah...poison is something that you have to watch out for...sorry to hear that, but now you know, be careful. :)

Question:What program languages are used for making rs2?
gonpost replied to gempoult's topic in General Discussion
OH YEAH. Another reason for runescript is to make the game nearly unhackable. Obviously that's not completely so, but being coupled with amazing security and a completely foriegn coding language, rs is a very secure game. It was a dam smart move to make runescript, obviosuly it's paid off rather well. 8) -
Trent Reznor I needn't say more.

If you really want to fall asleep, you have to stop thinking. For instance, I will stay up forever unless I force myself to stop thinking. Try putting aside some time in your day to think while you're awake. Thinking is a very important excercise for everyone. You'll get good practice at controlling your thoughts. Ultimately, you can develop a stronger mind through practicing that. Willpower. :) For another possibility, you might be agitating yourself since you can't fall asleep. Though it seems ironic, your frustration at your inability to fall asleep may be rooted in the very fact that you make yourself frustrated because you can't fall asleep! Just relax.

Welcome to the forum. :) Oh yes, math is certainly very useful...as for myself, I plan on being an engineer when I'm older, I'll certainly be using math quite a bit. Even if most kids wonder why they learn it, many will realize how important it is by the latter years of high school. At least that's what I've noticed.

Edit: Decided to leave that out... I believe in everything, and I believe in nothing. Keep your mind open...that is the key. Do not adopt a system of beliefs...take them all in...think about each one...be open to any possibility. Anywho...read this...just tell me what you think of it. I won't tell you where it's from or who wrote it...and this is only part, there's a lot more but it'd be too dang long. Question: What are the characteristics of being human? It is impossible to create an accurately prioritized list of characteristics because the order would depend on personal preference. Should it be prioritized in order of ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åimportance̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

My first video game memory is watching my older brother (who is 8 years older than I) play Doom on the computer. My first game that I played was quake, and I was about 9 years old. Beleieve it or not, at 9 years old, I was a dam good player...as in...I got first about every other round, at 9 years old. Also, at that time, I played the origional half life for a bit. I didn't play the game for quite a while afterward. I remember when Unreal came out, boy was that a big thing. My dad had one of the best computers of the day with an 8GB hard drive, and the game took up 400 megs! I remember being absolutely stunned at seeing real 3D graphics for the first time. That was a fun game to play rpg style...the 8 ball was my favorite weapon. Next I played Tribes 2. I played this game on and off for a very long time up until about a year ago. As a matter of fact I was one of the very best players in the game, my name was soulslayer if you ever played it. That was probably the only game that I ever truly mastered every weapon and every tactic. It's too bad that there aren't many players left now. The Rebels server was my home... My next great love was age of empires 2. I played that game for at least a year, loving hero wars, castle wars, playing random maps, and much more. I got really into that one...I remember really liking the Huns and the Vikings the most. After that...played a little age of myth...a little rise of nations....a little starcraft (i know it's actually old, but heck, i like it)... Around this time i played Spellforce, which was a GREAT GAME, but the sad thing about rpg's is that they have an end...:( After that period of just roaming around and desparaging over the lack of good games, I finally got half life 2 and css. I definately remember Ravenholm in half life 2, scared me a little bit. Probably the only game that ever has. After half life 2 was when I really began css, I got to be pretty good at that within only a few weeks. I still play them a little bit...but not much. Right now I do a lot of school work and some runescape, with css on the side a little bit. Anywho, I'm done.

Or, do you value money along with exp? For instance, green dragons. At 105 combat, and training on Defensive with the following bonuses: whip warrior helm amulet of power I get: 27,948 exp per hour 339,200 gp ... + or - 20k per hour (only counting bones/hides, no loot) That's not half bad in my opinion....I mean, I could get 50k exp per hour at dagganoths, but the money is too good here to pass up.

Yes no one actually knows. For the most unlucky of people it seems to be about every 500 dragons...that's how it is for me...

Join Leesters testing AutoSkull bug! 7:30! Private is on!
gonpost replied to Leesters's topic in General Discussion
I still think you need to do an hour or two of testing with multiple variables. For instance, all 3 types of attack in your attackers, 3 people at once, all at once, etc. That would really put and end to the autoskull debate...once and for all (just about). Please tell in detail what you did. -
I play for fun...and when I have extra time. I also enjoy studying various aspects about the game... What really appeals to me about runescape is that everything I do in the game is CUMULATIVE. I can see the result of my many hours...upon hours...of gameplay. It's nice to actually see something other than a little skill from playing so long. That's the main reason mmorpg's are, in general, so appealing.

About a year ago, my 69 woodcut was ranked in the top 10,000. Now, it's ranked 211,000. There's just a lot more woodcutters, and on f2p servers, it's the main source of income for a very high number of players.

If you guys haven't noticed...around the last few holidays, the prices of the according rare went way down, and then a few months after, the prices rise at a somewhat considerable rate...at least that's the pattern I've been noticing.
-
I haven't been f2p for a long time. But in members, I'd say about level 75-80 is "average".
-
It'll take a major event to turn rare prices down...won't happen any time soon. Thank people like me alching tons of bows to get to 99 fletching and high magic for the increasing amount of gp! :) I alone have introduced over 60,000,000 gp into the game, and that's just from alching magic longbows. *evil laugh*

Spice this thing up with more pictures, and add a little more content, and you could have yourself a thread worthy of living a long time... But nice try so far... :)

20 February 2006 - Updates, updates and more updates...

That is Bolkoy in the Tree Gnome Village. That's the place with the big maze before you go in...he's up a ladder once you get to the center. -
elucin8er said almost exactly what I would say. To elaborate, here are some figures for skills. (not merchant, stake, pk, or 85 slayer) 1. Green Dragon Slaying - 350k+ per hour using a secret method of mine...and I'm 105 combat. 2. Runecrafting - 300k per hour using the abyss and crafting nature, law, or death runes (obviously at 91 runecraft this will double to 600k per hour with natures) 3. Rune Mining - 250k per hour ever since they put in that delay between switching servers. I used to be able to do 350k an hour with this. That's all I can give you set figures for. I haven't had enough experience to give accurate figures on anything else. Obviously Slayer could make you rich...but not everyone has the time to get 85 slayer... Oh, and personally, I'm a fan of green dragon slaying. You get money AND a good deal of combat experience.
