This is nothing new, let me tell you. However, I doubt that any of these bills proposed by any of the cable providers will ever pass. I don't think that congress is even that stupid. It's funny that the only strong reason they have for doing this and seeming legitimate is music, movie, and gaming piracy. All the statistics of which are based upon highly flawed and biased studies. Let's just hope that all the fiber cables that google has been buying lately will serve as a backup, just in case. :) Just Americans. However, it could also affect anyone outside the United States who wishes to access a web page based within the US? Not sure on that, but that makes sense to me. As a matter of fact, I could see a passing of such bill leading to a huge amount of outsourcing to countries with a free internet.

Eh...when I was about 2.5 years old, I was pulling on the handle of a grandfather clock. It was already on a very loose foundation, and even then I pulled hard enough to knock it over. Needless to say, it fell over....but...luckily, there was a wall on the other side of me (sort of a weird hallway), and it got stuck on that wall about 3 feet above the ground. My mom said I would have certainly been crushed to death if that wall hadn't been there. Another one...wasn't really too near death at all....but it was scary. I was skiing out in Colorado, and being the genious that I was, I decided to go way off trail after a fresh snow of about 3 feet. I ended up accidentally tripping, falling off my skis, and then I was stuck in the deep as hell snow very far off trail. I was in the bottom of a mini-valley, so I immediately climed up to the top of the valley to get to snow that was slightly more shallow. Then I had to dig through snow, toss my skis, dig more, toss the skis, and eventually I got to a spot where I could get back up and find a trail. That process of digging and whatnot took me about an hour. Of course, I'd probably have been ok if I needed to have made a little snow fort and spend the night outside. It's cold, but you can do it if you're not wet/sweaty, which luckily I wasn't. I had enough warm gear on to wait till morning when they'd come search for me. Anyway, that's about it. :)

90 percent of the prayer drain from Barrows comes from the automatic drain every 10 seconds or so, so you wouldn't see much of a difference. And also, you keep getting better at the Barrows the more you do it, due to practice. I'll post my fight caves experiment when I'm done. We'll see if there's a significant difference from previous attempts. Same amount of waves. Same range level. Same prayer level. Same inventory. Same equipment. Same combat process. Almost a full hour of prayer usage. It should be a telling test. *ahem* Did you read my post? I'm not sure how much more clear it could be... With affirmation by Jagex on top of supporting my study, I'd have a dam hard time believing that prayer drains faster. Not to mention the fight caves seem to vary quite a bit more than any other way of telling how much prayer you'd use... And no offense or anything, I'm just trying to get this issue resolved.

Btw, according to you, and according to a forumula I made a long time ago, prayer is EXACTLY AS IT ALWAYS HAS BEEN. A +5 prayer bonus should render you about 107 seconds of time, using 30 prayer points. That matches my formula that I created EXACTLY. (although I technically get 106.7 seconds when I use my formula, but your 107 is close enough since you are a human, and you are thus prone to error). :) Go here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=424 ... ectofuntus Scroll to "elusive prayer bonus" to see a very in-depth study that I did a long time ago. According to your measurement, prayer is still the same as it always has been. Oh, and here's the equation I did a long time ago. As I said, the full explanation is on the link that I mentioned above. [ 3 + (Prayer Bonus) x (1/9)] x {[Prayer Level] + [(Prayer Level) x (1/3) x (# of Prayer Pots) x (# of Doses)]} / 60 = Number of minutes your prayer will last Plug in the variables for yourself if you want.

Ironic...I had a very, very cool and interesting dream just a bit ago. Two parts. First part, I'm in the airport in some Russian speaking country. I'm going to the metal detector thingy. I'm taking all the metal things out of my pocket when a guard pushes me through as if he wants me to hurry. I sorta motion that I need to get the rest of the things out of my pockets, but he pushes me along anyway. Naturally, the alarm goes off, and 2 other guards immediately arrest me. I'm thinking wtf because he pushed me through the detector before I could empty my pockets. I don't really remember much after that. Then the neato dream. I was on top of a mountain, a snow capped mountain. It was myself and a very good friend of mine climbing up it....then on an opposing mountain there was some other guy that we were talking to (somehow we could see/talk to eachother). Anyway, I notice that there's a huge cloud of fog coming, and so I say "Tim, we have to climb down NOW". Instead, we slid down the entire mountain. I sort of rode on my hands and feet sliding down the whole dam thing with Tim. We get to the bottom and are thankful. Then we go back and meet some friends of ours, whoever they were, and I remember Tim and I being level 82 in all our combat stats while all the other guys we just met were all lower lvl (I don't know how the runescape came in there...but it did). I remember thinking that they need to get out and explore more to gain levels. Then...the coolest part...Tim and I (we're cross country runners in real life) start running across the area, and we're eventually on an uphill road. It was amazing because I never got out of breath! We kept running and running uphill and eventually came to a white, circular object on the ground which also happened to be on the edge of the top of this mountain and overlooked the valley. I looked up and noticed that there was another white, circular platform thing about 15 feet away even more on the edge. Then we went somewhere....and I'm in a canoe with some freshman that I barely know, he's in the front. It's more like a double Kayak to be honest. We go down this crazy [wagon] hill on the river like thing. It's like a river surrounded by about 15 feet on each side of checkered ground (literally checkers...white and red i think) and then a fence outside of the checkered area, the fence was about 5 feet high. Anywho, we went down this hill (great fun!) we sorta flew a bit and rammed against the fence. I fell out of the kayak first, he rammed the fence. We quickly got back in and somehow started going very fast very quickly. Next thing I know, we're in some arena area. There are balls of sparks flying over us on the left (they're red), and purple ones flying over us on the right. At first there's only a few, then more and more as we progress downstream. The things on the left side of the river were all red, and the stuff on the right was all purple. I remember trying to avoid the spark-like balls as we went down the river. Then I woke up... The only reason that I remember so much is that I had this dream yesterday, and I went and thought about the entire dream almost immediately after I had it, so I had time to remember everything. Anywho...that's a cool dream I had lately...

I vividly recall making bronze bars and selling them for 10 gp each to players by the lumbridge general store. I actually considered lowering the price to 5gp each because I thought I was ripping people off... Ah, the days of rsc. *tear*

They still hit you. However, I go down there with mage protection gear on then use melee protect, and I rarely get hit. I'll often run out of potions before food. The granite legs aren't worth the time though.

I can prove the forumula for the area of a circle. :) That's about it though.

Runescape becomes what it should be: entertainment when there is nothing else to do. I go to school, run cross country, come home and do all my homework, and then I can feel free to relax and play runescape. (A whole hour or two, but still, I have some free time). As far as weekends are concerned, Fridays are made for relaxation, and generally saturdays are too unless I'm completely swamped. When Sunday comes, I start my homework at about noon and finish sometime in the evening. I can then relax for a few hours before bed. :)

I never understood how it was difficult to remember the planets... I mean, hell, when I was in second grade, I knew all the plents, in order, what each of them looked like, their approximate distance relative from eachother, and a fact or two about each planet. I still do know these things. All it takes is looking at a map of the solar system for a few minutes and that should be it... Anywho, I guess that taking pluto off the planet list is ok. However, I'm sure that most of the population will still consider pluto to be a planet for the sake of ease and practicality despite this new change.

If you're interested in high woodcutting, then YES it is worth it. When you are concerned with both money AND exp, then yes, go for it. You can always sell the axe back later after you're done chopping to your heart's desire. That's my 2 cents anyway.

Can you get the compass to face EXACTLY straight north?
gonpost replied to Freshwacka's topic in General Discussion
I wish.... It's rather annoying. I can face directly north in the runescape world, but on the mini map, I'm still facing like barely north east or northwest. I wish they'd actually align them. -
I would second what you said, except for the last sentence. It's hardly trivial. However, I must tell you, no one's found an answer to this question. The only answers have been compromises with their realities.

Yeah I just got gmod 9 a second ago, figured it might be easier. Here's 4 things I did real quick, cause my mom's all like "you have to go to bed now!!!! roar!!!!". Maybe i'll try again tmr if you're lucky. ;)

I'd be more than happy to do this for you, but your description of what you want makes NO SENSE. Please, make me a quick paint drawing of the positions you'd like. Just dots for placement would work. EDIT: Oh, if you want anything from half life 2, I can make just about any situation you can think of for you. :)

A nice idea...but...don't we already have TET and the SODB? :\ -
I know this sounds weird but...a picture of your eye would do wonders for us trying to help you. I don't think it'd go against tip.it policy if you just did your eye... But if you're seriously worried, go to a doctor. Btw, when you say "get in the way of your vision", what exactly do you mean by that?

I often forget if I've already washed my hair or not in the morning shower. I do that waaaay too much. I'm also notorious for getting the wrong utensil out of the drawer...for instance, I can vividly remember retreiving a spoon when I was about to eat spaghetti. The funny thing is I didn't realize my mistake until I actually tried to eat using the spoon...

Blade is completely right...so therefore get the exact same type of ram that you already have. But I must ask, do you really need 2gb of ram for your laptop?
-
Funny you ask that, I got my schedule about 10 minutes ago. :) I'll just do semester one...when going to semester 2, the only thing that changes is chef 1 to mech drafting 1. AP Government Spanish 5 - Honors Chef 1 Lunch Theology (Bah, catholic school requirement...) Honors Precalc Honors Physics AP English

A little hint: ANY combination is possible with 6 tiles. So you can rearrange that corner quite easily if you just think about it... I do those puzzles usually in 2-4 minutes. Just practice them a little, and then you'll fly. Otherwise, clues are worth it for most people. Although I don't do them any more cause they're not worth it for me. :)

40 sit ups? Bah. You can START with that...but you need to be doing like 4 sets of 50 once you really get going if you actually want some definition. Also, one of the prerequisites for a nice 6-pack is that you are slightly lean. Not terribly skinny, but don't have any weight on that belly. Either way, do more than you're doing, and do more sets of them. You have to be doing them until you can hardly do them any more.

oops, didn't even mean to post...lol

Dam it, Bubsa. That quote was absolutely perfect until the very end, after the last comma. :(

You sound like a true quantum phycisist. As for the why question, I would like to say that the word "why" is probably the most amazing, complex thought that man has ever had as an entire species. I'd just like to give one point of view... My view on the why question is to simply be happy in life. I know what I would like in order to be satisfied, and I'm well on my way to achieving it (materialistically, anyway). The accumulation of wisdom and knowledge is also a much more fulfilling endeavor than people give it credit for. It only ever makes the why question larger, however, with a deeper understanding comes a deeper appreciation of everything around you. And let me tell you, THAT is truly satisfying. Oh, and drk_killer, one of the chief goals in life (according to the qu'ran), besides worshipping Allah is to seek Ilm, that is, knowledge and wisdom. Since you seem interested in it, I just thought I'd point that out.
