  1. If they didn't pay for it, no need to make it look like the same item.
  2. Most likely done on purpose for you to subscribe
  3. "Just a word of warning: if you're sick of F2P discussions, you might want to skip this one" ok.
  4. [spoiler=text] You really can't appreciate anything can you. Well not like you can, considering you are constantly limiting yourself with your stats like that. You might want to quit if you hate the game so much.
  5. See I hate comments like this. People think they spent so much damn money and time on a tiny update. They didn't even announce this update, and they already fulfilled the rest of the stuff. The fact that you can move the little goblin menu thing is a triumph because it paves way for newer and better interfaces, and it works. You have no idea how long or how short it took them either, so don't be a jagex apologist I'm not apologizing for anyone. It just seems people will complain just for the sake of complaining. Make large update: it sucks make small update: it sucks Seriously just stop playing the game at that point.

  7. Technically you won nothing and lost nothing. Still sucks though. Couldn't help but laugh when he just ran off.
  8. [spoiler=quotes] You have 42 defense. Chances are jagex won't give you something you can't wield. Rewards get better with higher levels. Or maybe you got unlucky. I saw divine on 2 of my rolls yesterday. I was on my low level f2p account and I had the chance at tassets + armadyl chestplate. I'll take that into account. Thank you for the data I'll write that down. What level is it? Also it is a possibility f2p accounts regardless of level have an exceptionally high chance of getting higher level rewards, so that it would be enticing to buy membership should they get them. Or maybe we got really unlucky with the loot on the low level accounts. 1 day of test trials isn't indicative of a trend yet, only some theories. Also I feel this is derailing the thread. Just pm me any results anyone gets. Back on topic: so the prices are steadily dropping for the mid-high level boss drops, faster than before. Anyone foresee a complete crash in the future?
  9. I must've missed where it said that? Could you help me out :P A few people in my clan and I tested it out with pures. The maxed accounts had better possible rewards. The lower accounts had lesser top rewards. The level 3 accounts (skillers too) had absolute rubbish. Jagex doesn't explicitly say that, but we did some early testing. More results on the way.

  11. Awesome explanation. The only flaw I see is that for a while during the trade restriction SS prices stood relatively stable, and the sigil and shield prices were either the same or really similar. Also, people often tried to snipe sigils every day at med price. What killed divines now is that after trade restrictions were lifted, the split between sigil and shield prices kept getting bigger. Then the prices were manually adjusted in the ge this month, flooding the market with sigils no one was buying before. The panic from the introduction of the "lucky" spirit shields isn't helping. Thank goodness nex armors weren't affected, except by panicking
  12. They are! Jesus Christ it's like I'm talking to someone who only likes to hear himself talk. You are arguing the logistics of an argument on a relatively small board about Runescape, completely missing the point that all I said was I thought the article was the best. I'm not trying to sway opinions here.
  13. @Assume Leave me the hell alone dude. I liked the article. That's it. I don't need to identify something I thought was just my opinion. No need to be arrogant. I'd be cursing you out right now were it not for tripsis.
  14. Thus replied to Chameela's topic in General Discussion
Ad block plus I'm p2p anyway so whatever :/
  15. I claim it is the best article written because, in my opinion not yours, it tells of a subject that has rarely been brought up in the relatively innocent Times publication. I thought it should have been featured instead of the defense one because the defense one has been discussed to no end on RSOF, in game, irc channels, etc. You don't hear about solicitation to minors, especially not to 11 year old girls, in a video game. I'm not saying the defense one wasn't well written, because it was. But the third article had first hand information, drew at emotions, had a source backing some claims, and was never written about.
  16. The third article was very heavy, but honestly if you were on the internet alone at 11 that's what you expect. Kids grow up very quickly nowadays because of the internet, and parents need to do something to help stop this. And why were you playing at that age anyway? Nonetheless, it was the greatest Times article that was ever written. Too bad some useless article about defense got the feature.
  17. [spoiler=lot of text]None of those things are unique to Mod Mark, they are actually pretty common. I'm sure you and I and half the people on this forum care about RS (a lot) and play it and understand its mechanics. Mark simply isn't very strong in mechanics/metagame. I'm not convinced that he does understand the game mechanics that well if he couldn't figure out the number of effigies dropped per hour at various locations, and comparing those to skilling, and then concluding that people might go hunting for them. He was a fool if he thought people wouldn't hoard effigies to break records, given that people hoarded charms before. I think the Jmods knew what they were doing, and I think they are misguided in that this update isn't what makes the game more fun. What is incredibly annoying about Jagex is the idiotic statements/lies they make up as reasons for the update. "I wanted to combine it with something more positive" leads to early bird specials? Not to mention that "they weren't meant to be a viable levelling method" and "they weren't meant to be hoarded" are not reasons to nerf effigies - where's the love for emergent gameplay? Effigies made mithril dragons, cave crawlers and such worth hunting, and they made glacors and tormented demons awesome quest rewards - they are now virtually useless because the no-quest-required Nex and Dagannoth Kings are better. The two great strengths of effigies - they must be kept in your bank with endless patience to get the most out of them, and they reward balanced skilling, are completely ignored. The removal of F2P hiscores with the argument "To keep them fresh. We want the hiscores to feature players who will compete with each other, tooth and nail, for hiscore glory." (*cough* 200m xp cap *cough*). I believe the argumentation for nerfing the Flash Powder factory was based on "We didn't want it to be the best xp in agility." so they nerfed it to be worse than any other course. The list goes on. I stand by my claim that Jagex does not understand their games metagame, and they do not care for it. I do not doubt that Pmods play runescape, but they are probably 1000 total level and do updates based on things they will never experience legitimately. Also I care a lot about runescape, but I also cared about it when I was level 10, and I knew nothing about it. Caring does not equal experience.
  18. Been trying to get a username I wanted for years. It has never logged in and was never on this high scores.
  19. Might as well take out penguins, xp lamps, troll xp rewards, jack of all trades, and anything else like them, since that is how everyone trains rc now anyway
  20. What makes you think you should be allowed to get one? Why the heck not? If he puts the work into it why shouldn't he?
  21. Most people who say this was the perfect update fall into 2 categories: those with annoying skills already maxed (with or without effigies) and those who are so low level getting 99 seems like something unobtainable (newbies pretty much)
  22. Anyone who finds RC fun at 30k/h has something wrong with them or too much free time.
