I disagree with your point that old players no longer matter. They were the reason Runescape had the success it has. The old legends were inspiring in their day and their efforts should not be forgotten in my opinion. If I quit, I wouldn't want to take up space on the list. You remember the old legends in your memories. Many people have quit who aren't legends, who are also taking up space.

I am, because unless you are in the top 1k or have 200m in a skill, you really shouldn't even worry about the stupid thing. It's still nice to see my number go down every day, but if I was erased from the HS, I wouldn't care. My account still exists.

Dicing was hardly ruining the game, get off your high horse. It was more honest than armor trimming or any other sort of trust trade scam, and those hardly affecting the game. Spamming, buying ranks, scamming, pmods muting from rival dice ccs, spam pms advertising dicing ccs, etc wasn't affecting the game? And most of the scamming was under the guise of something legitimate, unlike trimming.

The other player, being silly enough to take an 11:9 against odds literally was choosing to give his money away in the long run. Oh, but the Duel Arena was much worse odds. Some guys wanted me to not wear armor at Duel Arena even though I had the stats for armor and they did not. So I had a 40 defense but could not use equipment that exploited that level, yet he could exploit his 70 atk for a whip. It's like he was BENDING the odds in his favor. And the odds were much better than 9 to 11 for. Are you REALLY defending dicing? In the duel arena and wild there are ways to bend odds. Dicing has a static 45% chance of winning per roll if it's 55x2. Your duel arena analogy is completely off.

They removed something that was really hurting the game. Why must people like you try to find one little detail or inconsistency and pick at it? Live and let live.

Jagex issued a cease and desist against RSBuddy and they complied. The other bot companies are still trying to make bots work. Jagex isn't about retribution against anyone who ever botted or made bots, they just want people to stop it. If the other bot companies didn't try to either sue Jagex stupidly or keep developing bots, they wouldn't be sued. I'm sure they had months of warning from Jagex to stop.

Because penguins reset for a new week on wednesday. Jagex have put in an EXTRA reset for thursday this week for the double points. If you don't do pengs today you miss a full set of 16 points, when they reset for thurs it'll run a 6 day week for thoose penguins where you get 16 points again, or 32 if you do it on thursday itself. Skipping doing pengs today is basically screwing urself out of a free 30k+ xp in addition to the 60k+ you can get for tomorrow I did them hours ago, when there were 1800 people in that world. Do things early if possible, avoid the FUBAR situation now.

If Jagex isn't going to ban the botters anyway, it feels like a slap in the face to the legit players. I should have botted max total when I had the chance, since Jagex doesn't care about it.
