  1. Or take your pickaxe halfway down your mining goal to Shilo, and mine some gems there to add to your gold... Games necklace: 2.9k Ring of Duelling: 6.1k Amulet of Strength: 6.9k Ring of life: 9.6k
  2. I'm talking about the fact that perhaps the Hatchet should be dropped by something you WC at, like Evil Trees... The same could also be said for the Pickaxe... Meaning the Pickaxe shoudl come form mining, not miners...
  3. I do not consider Dragon Claws a mid-range weapon ;)
  4. I think I can settle this "oh I found some writing mistakes" issue for everyone: If you care more about how things are written down rather then what message the author is getting across... Or rather debate his/her writing style then the actual conversation the author intended to start: GTFO or apply to the Editorial Panel...
  5. Fast XP can be gained by planting trees and fruit trees, and you can make up for the cost by planting herbs... Just plant whatever you have that you know that wont get diseased too often, and pay for your trees and fruit trees... And while planting herbs, throw in some sweetcorn for good emasure/tuna potato making :)
  6. So... by completely agreeing with the point I was trying to make, you got annoyed? Please check with a local doctor if whatever you ingested an hour ago is right for you... Ok, couple of things. 1. I never talked about 50-50 worlds or non-combat SC worlds. 2. I never mentioned play styles, I was talking and comparing each of the better qualities of each group 1 vs. group 2 minigames and 3. I came to the conclusion, after comparing all five of them, that Castle Wars is lagging behind, that it MIGHT need an update (and how many people have suggested something), but is probably not wise to do. The other person that I quoted seemed to get it, perhaps the two of you should meet? :)
  7. For those who are wondering, the suggestions in question I have talked about can be found here: Stealing Creation and Castle Wars
  8. I'm actually surprised by the amount of people who DONT read the times... *thinks an advertising offensive is in order*
  9. My little wishlist for F2P? Chaos runecrafting Make the Churn F2P so they can use Milk to make Cream Butter and Cheese to sell or use (in case of Cheese) Some type of Boss monster which drops all kinds of useful stuff Someone or something to finally break the stigma that wars are fought with runeclad tanks and binders only...
  10. Soul runes aren't common enough for it to be this hyped up, I disagree. New spell book based around soul runes? Personally I had hoped that a soul altar would've come out instead of the astral altar and its corresponding runes :S But who knows... The source of where everyone was facing to is not the chaos altar... It is just off of the coast of eastern lvl 30-40 wild to my best guesses... This coincides with the barge our varrock museum friends are making, taking us to an island with a lot of ancient (aka zarosian era) artefacts...
  11. Btw, if anyone has any ideas or suggestions on what future articles should be about, or perhaps write letters to the editors/editorial panel, make sure you PM Mirrorforced...
  12. Have you tried making Pastry Doughs or even Pie Shells at the Cooking Guild? While you're at it, pick up the odd Cooking Apple (do not add to Pie Shell) and sell it all on the GE...
  13. Glad I could help :)
  14. I might be persuaded to one day write a (semi-)fictional that in depth describes all the intricasies of the Godwars and most of all; what the events were that lead up to it... I'll be taking a lot of artistic liberty of course ;) For one; Isnt it really a Godswar, rather then Godfwars? As far as I know there were multiple gods in one massive all out war (kind of like MSSW)...
  15. Allow me to deconstruct a few of these... Juna declares us an enemy of Guthix when we admit to her that we murdered the Balance Elemental, this is only during the WGS quest itself, she does not mention it after. Thwarting Bandos has nothing to do with this, nor would Guthix know about this due to him being asleep and all. You hit the nail on the head here. Also, hypnotising us is not indirect action, it is direct action. The Guthixian Edicts say that no God is allowed to influence the world directly, except through their followers. The Devourer (Amascut) needs us to do these things because she cannot enter the city herself. But yeah; Bandos may noit walk the world, but he indeed took action himself as well. Infact, we speak to him directly through his avatar. The Barrows Icon (used as a powersource for the beacon that helped Zaros find his way) merely stored people's prayers, it is infact the cursed tombs that drains the prayer powers. They just are not stored anywhere anymore. As I said in the article, the Kalphite Queen is not actually praying but it signifies her extraordinairy defensive capabilities. She is infact a Kalphite, spawned by Scabaras, but when you talk to her head in a POH she will say that she is awaiting the return of Zaros, so you're right about that one... Amascut hypnotising us to do her bidding is direct action. Assisting the Temple Knights who have no contact with Saradomin is indirect action. On the surface, it looks a lot like we have done much in the favor of Saradomin, but when you look deeper, you'll find that all we did was help Saradomin's followers... Lucien is not a God, and I have doubts that Zamorak can be called one... In the end, Lucien becoming extremely powerful may play right in the hands of Saradomin, knowing that ole Lucy's followers will be in competition with those of Zamorak...
  16. If you have enough F2P bankspace, try putting in some of the items you need to bank through Beefy already in your bank... That way the game might see it as not needing any bankspace, and hence not checking if there is any...
  17. When will these idiots learn that when jagex announces that some update is coming "next year" there is still 12 months for them to wait before releasing it...
  18. A side note to this question is... Note that you can ONLY get god birds from your kingdom, and not eggs from birds such as Raven
  19. 1st; make sure you have the Mahogony log meter thingy at maximum (10 clicks)... 2nd; make sure you do have it set to Mahogonony (and not to Teak, or Both) 3rd; you're goign to need a helluva lot more then 5k in your coffers... Each day, 10% is taken out and used to "purchase" the items that you can get from your kingdom... That 10% will not go higher then 75k, and not go higher then 50k if you have not completed Royal Trouble... So the above poster is wrong... In your case it would take out 500gp (10%) and try to purchase items with that... I have 2.1m in it... The maximum it can take out each day is 75k, so this will last me 18 days at maximum capacity before it starts to take less then 75k each day, and hence has less to purchase with... I would recommend using some calculators... And a little advise from the expert; Right now, the best options to set your kingdom to is Herbs, Raw fish, and Coal... This gets you the most items you need for your 75k...
  20. I have a question.... How is this a Tip.it afair?
  21. Or pray twice as the Desert treasure altar... When on Lunar, pray at Lunar altar to switch to normal... When on Ancients, pray twice at Lunar altar to switch back to normal (once to go to Lunars, once to go to normal)... In the previous two statements, you can switch all Lunar for Ancients and vice versa... The statements will still eb true :)
  22. there used to be, but with the updates to MA you're better off just winning 1 vs 1 conflict battles...
  23. Also join one of the various CC's that call out which gold rock is up... "Mining Golds" is the most popular one...
  24. I too believe that Zaros is neither Good, nor Evil, but merely has his own agenda... But I believe this to be true for most known Gods... Saradomin (or Armadyl) is the supposed god of Law and Order (not the TV show), and Zamorak that of Chaos and Destruction... But translate this into a Zamorakian point of view, and Saradomin is the god that opresses, and Zamorak is all of a sudden the one fighting for freedom... Bandos is the god of War, but war is not always bad, and not always unjustified... I hate to bring a well known example into this, but if the Germans didnt oil their gears of war so well in the late 30s and early 40s, we'd probably be at a technological level comparible to the 60s today... Despite the interpretations, you can still get a pretty good read on what the ambitions and "ways" of those gods are... But Zaros remains something of a mystery (we only know that he'll probably want to rebuild his former empire and act revenge on Zamorak)... Zaros gained his nickname Empty Lord from the Zamorakians who defeated him who saw that the Staff of Armadyl literally drained Zaros into Zamorak... So what do I predict? The Ritual in The North near Ghorrock is coming, and a lot of our Zarosian allies might be there too... While the Mahjarrat are busy with it, we will indeed be the one with the opportunity to reclaim the Stone of Jas and the Staff of Armadyl from Lucien... We will then proceed to defeat Lucien and Zemouregal to prevent either of them becoming a god like Zamorak did... In no way will Zaros or Zamorak ever fight or defeat one another oon Gielenor itself due to the Guthixian Edicts preventing them from ever involving themselves in this world... Should through some chain reaction, Zaros be able strip God-ness away from Zamorak, then it will have little impact on Gielenor and RuneScape gameplay... Many Zamorakians are stubborn enough to continue believing in a God that is no longer a God, and this itself will probably empower Zamorak himself to a status where he can still provide prayer points at altars, hand down his teachings to his monks, and ferment his wine... [spoiler=I think though, the quest reward will be]a Zaros Hilt for your Godsword What I am currently irked about is that I still have to travel miles into the desert in order to change my spellbook, while Azzanadra, the person who GAVE you that knowledge, stands right there in Senntisten...
  25. I'm not convinced that it would make food prices soar... In all likelyhood it will, as what we can see these days with the Herb and Potion prices... But there are already a lot of people that have 99 cooking, and cooking is the skill that has, next to hit points, the most experience earned in it overall... So people already have a relativly higgh cooking level, so odds are that when such a change happens, it doesnt change much as in all likelyhood, a shark for me at 86 cooking, will probably heal 20 still, or 21... So I do not see the immediate surge in rpices happening... What I do see is a shift of focus in F2P foods, as double-bite and triple-bite foods at higher levels get 2 and 3 hp per inventory space extra healing power... Imagine that at 99 cooking you have; Swordfish healing 15 - 1bite Anchovie Pizzas healing 20 - 2bites Chocolate Cakes healing 18 - 3bites Something to ponder on for a while...
