  1. I bet you iron your socks too. Only joking  (Trudges back to bank after forgetting tele runes again)
  2. No point always hitting if you hit once every minute. But you will kill it that way
  3. Not much point striking something 5 times a second if every strike bounces off.
  4. Perhaps the xp/gp reward could be related to the number of attacks or repairs you make?I dont mean the amount of damage, because that would be unfair to the lower levels who are distracting spinners etc. or repairing gates (does anyone bother to do that?), but the number of times you swing your sword, cast a spell, or fire an arrow.
  5. Yeah! This is what Tip.It forums should be all about. At this rate your'e going to have more friends than anyone else! Add me to the list RSN - Cardovilian
  6. Why are you slimming down your bank? The whole point of members is to fill your bank with as much useless junk as you can find. Isn't it? Or am I doing it wrong? :?
  7. Ever the champion of a pointless exercise, I've timed my prayer drain with Steel Skin and come up with this: without bonuses: 28 prayer - 85 sec 56 prayer - 170 sec 56 prayer with bonuses: +5 - 198 sec +10 - 228 sec +20 - 283 sec Which works out APPROX 3 seconds per basic prayer point, plus 6 seconds for every bonus point
  8. Or, just hear me out here, maybe they just haven't played the game enough to deduce the finer points of tactics? (Or they just don't care and are only there for a bit of light relief?) [/i]
  9. OH NO!! An addictive addition to an already addictive game! Its 5.24am my time and I've just finished. Absolute mayhem down there - must be tumbleweeds blowing through Castlewars :) Come on! I'll take you all on! RAAAARRR
  10. I always give people a warning before reporting them for rule-breaking, preferably by PM if possible, something along the lines of ' stop doing that or I'll report you' makes the point quite clearly. If they dont stop, I hit that button. I'll also put their name in my friends list for a while in case I come across them doing it again a few days later - if I do there's no second warning!
  11. I've lost count of the number of times I've rolled up at the Law or Nature altars without my tiara.
  12. This was exactly why I did all the Dwarf quests to get access to the Arzinian mine. 'All the gold i could eat' (credit Monty Python). Its way worth the cost of the ferryman's cut ( I've just got the charmed ring of Charos which I believe makes it cheaper, though I haven't tested it yet). I hate to generalize, but I don't think you'll find a more selfish bunch in the whole of runescape than miners.
  13. You're really not getting the whole 'humour' thing are you?
  14. There's been some discussion about this already. Yes Jagex did change it so that there was no Sara mage (by design or accident I don't know), but it has already been established that things had been returned to normal. I had a clue in the Duel Arena yesterday and got the Sara mage (thanks due to Mole Rat Man for helping me out - I'd never been to Duel Arena before and didn't have a clue what I was doing  ) Didn't realise I couldn't lose my gear though - would have saved me sweating on those 16's I was being hit for!
  15. Absolutely. None of us wants to see that kind of thing here. But if (god forbid) someone like yourself or Leesters, Nathaninch or Barihawk (or any other Mod - or Tip.It'er) should be hacked or have some other mishap befall you, I'd like to think that you would be able to turn to the Tip.It community to get you back on your feet without falling foul of such a rule.
  16. I appreciate the supportive comments. But don't think I'm looking for a fan club here; if the original thread had not been locked, this one would not exist. I would really like to hear a mod's take on what i said. If its a good reason why I'm wrong that's fine. This post was not meant as a damnation of rules and mods; just a query on the implementation in this case. (And totally off topic - Has Jagex increased the atk lvl of Fire Giants? Cos I'm using way more lobbies than is reasonable here!)
  17. My main point was that beggars dont generally have a 100+post history. I did say that it was perfectly reasonable to lock 'chicken feathers'. After all, who is going to give to them anyway?
  18. Wayyyyy too many, but hey, the first in beating an addiction is admitting you have a problem right????? So, errr..., what's the second step again????
  19. I was the one who gave (actually loaned) the 100k and rune pick to okiebrian. Apparently its against the forum rules for someone to appeal to the better nature of a fellow Tip.iter to help you out when things have not gone your way. God help us for ever helping someone to get through that quest that they cant quite finish, or get past that slayer assignment which defeats their best-laid strategies. Yes, I can understand not allowing a 'chicken feather' to post a begging post, but this guy has over 100 posts on forums (anyone bothered to check his post history?) Well I did and it checks out. Reading his posts, he sounds like a decent Tip.Iter (a damned sight better, actually, than a lot of the people on here currently, if you can call call flamers and spammers people EDIT: refer to the BREAKING NEWS thread [also locked but jusifiably so] for evidence). And that opinion was backed up by my conversation with him when I loaned him the goods. Now I may have laid myself open to massive ridicule when he doesn't pay me back (and I'll freely own up to it if he doesn't), but I'd rather lose 100k (which he didn't ask for) and a rune pick (peanuts frankly) than lose faith in the basic genuine honesty of a long term Tip.It poster. I mean, all the guy asked for was a rune pick. I went to the T.E.T. Slave Auction drop party the other day and dropped 200k of stuff. Many T.E.T. organisers dropped far in excess of that and I think its quite clear that much of that was picked up by (and I hate this term) 'noobs' who wouldn't know a Tip.It'er if we sat on them! So, in conclusion, I say to the mods (guess I'll never be one now huh?), give a guy a break!
  20. I did a lvl 3 yesterday and only got 1 wizard (zammy) on the first trip to wildy. Didn't even have one when I dug up the treasure casket. :)
  21. I dont think Simon Schama could have put it any better :)
  22. Glad I loaded up on horns yesterday then.
  23. At least this shows that Jagex have learnt from the lesson of the lemons for Recipe of Disaster.
  24. I'll be twenty for the nineteenth time this year :) .
