  1. Sounds like you may have been scammed there. Did you check the second trade screen carefully?
  2. According to the quest guide, lvl 42 thieving is required for this quest. As yours is lvl 30 perhaps that is why you cannot progress?
  3. Guess no-one will be repairing gates anymore then! :(
  4. I've been playing RS2 for 15months and, until recently, had never had an Evil Bob, Camo or Zombie random. But suddenly in the last two weeks I've had 3 Evil Bobs (2 fishing and 1 ballon animal), 2 camos and 2 zombies. I have also just got to lvl90 around the time these started. Just a coincidence? Has anyone else noticed a sudden appearance of new (to them) randoms appearing in this way? I also seem to remember the frog event doing a similar thing some time ago.
  5. Yeah, I've been there a few times and never seen anyone in Pest Control say "Oh no, a lvl 90 Tip.It'er". Funny that...
  6. Price check sticky: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=373038
  7. I'm not exactly an experienced ranger, but I think you'll find that the max hit is the same regardless of the attack type. The difference is that 'Accurate', as the name implies, will hit more often than 'Rapid', with the trade-off that its slower. 'Long-range' is more accurate over long range :) , but is even slower than 'Accurate'.....I think :?:
  8. But be aware that assuming you make plates and alch them, that is going to cost you 300 gp per bar that you buy - and that's if you craft your own nats! Not something for the less well-off to consider. As for your original question, everyone has their own boredom threshold. The most I've smelted in 1 session was 1k steel and that was a serious effort by the end.
  9. I wouldn't recommend fighting dragons without an anti-fire shield!
  10. A gnome cocktail in your hand....... 8)
  11. My first time playing CW. Great fun and I got to kill Leesters, so I can die a happy man :D :D
  12. I'll be there, but I'm a CW virgin so please excuse me if I'm running around like a headless chicken! Going early to get some practice in though :)
  13. I've always thought they look like some kind of reptile/platypus hybrid, perhaps they are experiments that escaped for Fenkenstrain?
  14. I have a giant pouch in my bank which requires 70ish RC to use and I am 58 (I think I was 54 when I obtained it). So unless Jagex have changed things since then, no you dont need lvl50 to obtain the large pouch.
  15. All google does is index all the pages on the web, it doesn't check them for safety. Do a search for 'wallpaper' and I'll bet at least 50% of the results will be sites which contain malware. A useful tool you can use when searching with Google is 'SiteAdvisor'. Its a browser extension available for IE & Firefox. Siteadvisor puts an indicator beside each search result showing you if the site contains malware, popups, etc. Not every site will have been rated, but the majority have been. Details of how it works and a link to download can be found here. http://www.siteadvisor.com/

  17. A keylogger can enter your system in lots of ways. One of the easiest is via Peer to Peer filesharing, you think your downloading a video say, but it comes with a surprise package which you wont even know about - until its too late. As for removal/protection, Spyware Doctor contains an anti-keylogger tool. You can download it here: http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/ Im assuming its OK to post this address in the forum - its a respectable site - sorry if its against the rules.
  18. There's a guide in here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=437 ... g&start=30
  19. Isn't there a guy on Port Sarim or some other dock who buys rusty weapons? Seem to remember this from some quest or other. Don't think he pays much and its not worth the runes to tele there i suppose.
  20. One way is to have at least 2 of everything (well most things) then arrange them in some kind of order i.e. 1 row for food, another for tools, another for runes etc. Then when you take something out of the bank the order will be maintained by the duplicate left in the bank, like this: Obviously money will dictate how much you can duplicate and you can't do it for everything, but I have mangaed to fix the first 26 rows of my bank like this.
  21. Isn't the whole point of the update to remove the market for F2P ess from P2P'ers who want it for crafting nats and laws? With this machine the P2P'ers could still buy their ess from the auto'ers with throwaway F2P accounts, then convert it to pure ess for their laws and nats. Thereby defeating the whole object! The fact is that a bunch of cheats who have perverted the game for the sake a making money have stuffed a large number of honest F2P'ers by forcing Jagex to remove their income stream. Its not fair, it sucks for all the honest players out there but Jagex aren't gonna backtrack on it. I'm sure they gave considerable thought to the impact the update would have on players, but this was still the best solution they could come up with.
  22. So what you're saying is... P2P'ers can go to a F2P world, buy a bunch of F2P ess, take it to P2P world and turn it into P2P ess, then use it for crafting nats or laws? Or, to put it another way, completely circumvent the whole update's purpose of stopping auto'ers with throwaway F2P accounts from selling their ess to P2P law and nat crafters. Yeah that'll work! I suggest you contact Jagex right away and suggest it to them. The fact is that a bunch of cheats who have perverted the game for the sake of making money have stuffed a large number of honest F2P'ers by forcing Jagex to remove their income stream. 23. From Shantay, a NPC who wanders around near the shantay pass, south of AL-Kharid
  24. Good story. I think I might have been tempted to PM a bunch of other people to come laugh at him before freeing him though.
