Yeah I know its a well-worn topic, but we haven't had one for a while. Anyway, I was in Fally bank (my home from home) when I see Packerskid (hope you dont mind me using your name - its for a good reason) selling ranarr seeds. I offer 20k each but got beaten to the trade. Shortly afterwards Packerskid offers to go get me some more seeds so I say 'OK whatever you can get I'll buy'. He has an Ogre slayer assignment to do so goes off to get me some seeds. Since he's on slayer I think, while I'm waiting, I'll go carry on with my outstanding assignment which is Iron Dragons (yeah I know all dedicated slayers would Burthorpe them, but I really want Drag Legs and I've already had a D Med drop from this assign due to a fortuitous Steel Drag) so off I go. Packerskid and I are carrying on a PM chat, him updating me on the ranarr seed front, when he asks me if I would loan him 100k towards the cost of the Obby shield which he is saving for. My response is that I wont loan the cash but will donate for free all the drops/bones from this visit to drags. To cut a long story short, I end up handing over about 80k's worth of stuff (best being teeth half key - pretty poor visit I know). Packerskid gets his Obby shield, thanks me for my help and I feel good about myself, everyone's happy. One thing I didn't hand over was a clue scroll (for obvious reasons) so the next day that was my first job. Bearing in mind that I have never had better than plain rune pl8 from a scroll, lo and behold I get Sara legs, Rune kite (t), Rune pl8 and 80 laws - 1/2 mil for me :). So I PM Packerskid later saying ' Karma to me for helping you out'. But that's not the end of it. Today I figure I might as well finish those drags off (77 out of 168 left), so I kit myself out, pot up and head to the drags. With 1 prayer pot left out of the 10 I took I see this: KARMA? I should say so!!! So remember everyone, BE NICE, it can't hurt, you'll feel better about yourself, and karma MIGHT strike for you too!

I've just set up with 100% mining and 50% mahogany and teak (both), 750K deposited. Will put results up tomorrow/Saturday Results: 546 coal , 65 Mahogany, 65 Teak, 1 Diamond, 2 Sapphires. Based on this result alone, assuming 50K was taken for the coal ((100% + 50%)/100% = 2/3. 2/3 x 75k = 50k). That works out at just under 92gp per coal. I'll take that, thankyou very much :)

A while back had a little drop party for low levels at Lumby to clear some bank space. Lent someome (can't remember his name) a rune pick who asked on these forums, then let him keep it 'cos I got three in a row from treasure trails (bit of Karma there I guess). Saw someone (lvl 30ish) trying to buy a mith scimmy in Fally bank (unsuccessfully), had a few mith bars in bank so made them one for free. And always give advice/help to anyone who needs it, often by referencing Tip.It.

If you're still playing in five year's time, I bet you'll be saying "Isn't it about time Jagex came out with some better armour?". Would you like to still be playing Pacman? Of course you wouldn't. The best thing about Runescape is that its constantly changing, evolving and improving. Inevitably that means that today's best is tomorrow's second best. Prices are always going to be depressed for items which are obtainable by all (i.e. not 'rares'), that's life. Go out tomorrow and buy a brand new Porsche and see how much you can get it for in two years after the new model has come out.

That would be the obvious conclusion. Lets hope they are right.

If you look just to the right of the phrase 'Runescape Questhelp' you will notice the word 'Beta'. In software development, this word means basically, 'this is how its going so far, we dont intend this to be the final finished product, but we'd appreciate it if some seasoned users would have a look and tell us if you find any bugs/errors/etc.' Thus you WILL find errors/bugs in a 'Beta', that's why you are being allowed to see it. Just tell Jagex what you have found. Then, when they release it as a finished product, there will be no need for endless posts on forums (official or otherwise) about 'mistakes' that have been found along the lines of 'Look what I've spotted' just after thirty other people have posted the same thing - or at least that was the idea.

Maybe its just a Firefox thing, but my password(original) has auto-filled and been accepted despite the changes due to the 'password crisis'. Though I've changed my password anyway, just in case.

Yes I know about world clock websites, links to one are posted in TET event annoncements, but that doesn't stop the rash of "What time is that where I am?" posts which follow every announcement. There is already a message giving the current time (well GMT for me, dont know if its local(ish) for everyone) on the forum index page. It can't be too difficult to extend that to give a list of times. Then people could check those times without having to go to a separate site.

When I want to be educated I'll read a book, if its all the same to you Jagex!

Showing the current time in the major time-zones, so that everyone can more easily work out what time a TET event, drop party etc. is going to be in their zone.

I have a max hit of 22 (76STR whip, obby shield, climbing boots) without prayer and it doesn't help. Even when their health bar is fully red they still heal rather than dying.

I'm trying to kill a monkey guard in the Ape Atoll temple for the greegree needed to complete Recipe For Disaster. But the damned things keep healing themselves when they get low on hitpoints, what am I supposed to do?

It makes a sound when it runs out, but if another sound event ocurs at the same time, it can sometimes mask it. As long as you're wearing your anti-drag shield well its not too much of a problem. You will need the shield because anti-fire pots dont completely protect you from the breath, they only provide 100% protection when combined with the shield.

Is Arnold Lydspor a member of the OoC?
