  1. You realize the comparison isn't even close. Blizzard did remove keys however it was due to them being tied to atonements. A long lengthy quest chain or reputation grind required to get them. Totems can be gathered by anyone doing barrows and sold on the GE, judging by their frequency they will settle around the 50k mark they started at.
  2. Watching streams, they are all using t90 weapons and its crazy how often they splash. This makes me nervous about the viability of using t80 weapons. And Drygores seem like they'd be a poor choice given how it puts you into the spec range and you can't hit karil and ahrim when they go up.
  3. Do they all have to die at once? Or can you kill them in pairs?
  4. Its getting rather tiresome that "skill" in Runescape combat comes down to movement, where is the tactical use of abilities. Being able to spam click and mash keys doesn't seem like skill. Silently pouts and wishes for WASD movement.
  5. Music track for reg and apparently killing them for trimmed.
  6. Seems like the totems are fairly accessible. And I imagine supply will far out do demand for a long while.
  7. Crystal is only less afk if you don't want to pick up the geodes, if you take the scrimshaw and want geodes it requires more attention then ivy but less then say yews or magics.
  8. Build a zarosian temple, fill it in with dirt. Plant a cabbage field on top. You sir are a literary genius.
  9. Mine worked just fine upon launch and I'll be resetting it tonight.
  10. Status symbol. Well now I understand completely. People want this because of the intrinsic value it brings. That's all this argument is about but no one is saying it straight up. They want this item because it makes them feel good for some reason. I just wish people would shake this. Your arguments are getting tirelessly more annoying as you go. The fact of the matter is there are currently 156,900 people with 90 Magic, the required level to use this wand. The fact that there is maybe 1,000 in supply right now is whats causing the issue. This issue arises from the fact that the drop rate is far far far to rare. In a game where people have been playing for 10+ years you can't limit top end gear, which isn't at the top end of the spectrum so much because the demand will far surpass supply for the foreseeable future. Even at a drop rate of 1:10 it will take a long time for the wand to come down into a respectable range. I deem respectable in the 100's of millions. Due to the fact that we shouldn't have people who are over the billion mark, or even in the nth number of max cash stacks. That is a fundamental flaw in the game that there hasn't been a reason for this gold to leave and it creates an ever expanding gap for new players. Who wants to start playing RuneScape and get to 90 magic in a couple month and realize they need to spend the next several years to be able to afford the gear that matches that level? No one, you want to kill a game, make it impossible to compete with current players. Which is one of the reasons why we're seeing a steady trend of newer players leaving the game and only veterans sticking around. Exactly my point, Its close minded thinking by people like Thus that think having these absurdly high prices are a good thing and don't understand the fundamental flaw that accompanies it, you kill the game and guess what, your fancy status symbol item isn't going to be worth squat when there are only 5 people playing to trade with.

  12. Part of me is wondering if the BTS was lame because of the announcements that could come out of Runefest
  13. Just logged in to check, and it says its working on Jacks house, Needs stone and mortar. Weird thing is it just looks like an outline of the house and when I talk to Jack its like he thinks its done already.
  14. Does that mean anyone who hasn't done it yet can't help now?
  15. What step is it currently on now? When I did mine 4 hours ago it was 77% done the first one?
  16. 21 Billion and just over 500 bonds gone already. Will this actually impact anything? And the rebuildathon should get done easily, that little time for that much reward is nuts.
  17. 2006 was a better time due to articles like this: http://www.tip.it/runescape/times/view/27-english-its-proper-form One of the best times I've ever read and it sticks with me to this day.
  18. Assuming the 60k hits is supposed to be ticks, and my math is right it lasts for 10 hours.
  19. Its funny that the majority of people [bleep] and moan about the degrade to dust because they don't like the mechanic and yet in the same breath will [bleep] about the botched economy. Degrading to dust, and having a gp cost to make is integral to market inflation. The 500k thread is brilliant and needs to be implement else where. I've long advocated for skills to require purchasable patterns for levels 80+ that cost several million coins. The fact that the t90 wand costs a max cash stack isn't just a function of rarity its a function of the absurd amounts of gold in the game. Consider it like this, if a government never destroyed currency that was worn out and just kept printing new bills each new bill would have less value as a whole, because there is more money around, instead we remove some from the markets and it retains a fixed value. For a long time RuneScape has lacked adequate gp removal sources, and more have to buy it from the vendors items would help with that. EDIT: As an additional note, the pain of the degrade fees right now is only due to the high cost of the armor, the more people that suffer from that effect and remove more gold the prices of the armor will go down if people don't have the gp to spend on it. If Jagex could removed a trillion gold from the game right now, prices on everything would plummet because people couldn't afford things.
  20. Well that was a rather underwhelming video, they didn't actually say anything.
  21. Its fantastic for brewing but nigh impossible to find people to play with. PS. yellow is an awful colour to read.
  22. At first I was apposed to this update but now I'm wondering if the increased demand for lower leveled resource might actually be a good thing. I haven't voted yet as that is the only aspect about it I think is worth while. But I guess I'm looking for more opinions.
  23. Actually 5th prestige is 195 mil xp.
  24. Wrong, the scrimshaw does effect it work, it can disturb implings as well as increase the chances of geode drops  VICTORY IS MINE Reference to the "good" scrimshaw being the one that provides more exp vs the one that increases the drops.
