You should be done your tests by the time it rolls out I would imagine. It's a minor point, but you can't possibly know that. You don't even know when his exams are. If they're after Christmas, which isn't unusual, your reassurances fall flat. With the bts vid for it next friday it seems as though the world event will be launching ~9th Dec 6 week event takes us right through the ~20th jan A lot of post-xmas exams/deadlines fall right in that window. I know a lot of my friends on other courses have got assignments / dissertation briefs due in the next few weeks, and exams pretty much straight after New Year. Busiest time of the year for lots of people. The only thing to be said is that during the actual holiday periods themselves, RuneScape playing numbers rise dramatically as people find themselves having whole days off to play with, which is typical with other games and other gaming formats. So could people spare four hours then? Yeah, probably. Hard to see elsewhere, though. Thats weird, semesters end on about dec 6 exams are done before christmas The world doesn't consist solely of your country. Hmm if only I knew if you were american :) Anyways I think they learned and it won't be that demanding.

Compared to last years, this one is absolutely not worth it by the tiniest bit! Do we actually have the full details of the packages? I see a lot of people saying this with certainty yet afaik we haven't actually been shown the full details yet so can't exactly judge it. If you look back a few posts I broke down what was included based on the shot from the youtube vid.

There were other ways to gain the (non-cosmetic) rewards in the last world event, I don't see why this would be any different. Its also going to be a 6 week event. I'm sure you can find some time in there to get the rewards. Watched the video did some pausing on the VIP package and it seems rather disappointing this year. No runecoins, but you get 150k loyalty points, its $12 more then it was last year. You do get 2 new pets and access to a VIP world + some name badge things but overall doesn't seem like that good of a deal. As someone who is at the 5.95 rate I only pay $71/year, I bought it last year because for $3 I'll take the extra runecoins but loyalty points are lame.

Oh, that's great. Let's give an even GREATER advantage to current players/those who don't have a life over the Holidays and F#$! everybody else. They BETTER make a way to obtain this stuff after the event. Do you do anything besides complain? :geek: I think this second event will be awesome. And I hope Bandos dies.

You need to toggle on momentum before you go in, that is likely causing your issues, and ontop of that you know not to use abilities once you've done that right?

Better off under priced then over priced. That way the prices can rise to what market actually is.

The way he said "to a particular area on the screen" it sounds like he means regardless of where your mouse is it will move to the same coordinate. I guess ahk would be advanced enough to do that. Unfortunately, not what he means: So does that mean if I wiggle my mouse back and forth really fast I can hit the millions of APM? Because moving the mouse enough to go one pixel is an action right?

Post EoC its about the same, Use Range. You can kill most bosses before they get to you, also use frag shot and they will die before you get to the door. with dual ASCB its a joke.

That references a coordinate move, generally you don't move to a specific location but move by a set number of pixels, not sure its a definitive enough difference but something to consider. And btw, I thought windows mouse keys let you move?

That is correct but it doesn't leave you a whole lot of time to get to it if your not beside it to start and even half a second to slow and you can take 7800 dmg.

It was about 10 attempts before we got our first kill and just using a mh ascb isn't enough. You'd need at least an oh chaotic. Using a shield you don't do enough dps.

We got two successful kills back to back last night and my team had death lotus and ascb. All of us wore the same. Once we got past the stupidity of the bombs it wasn't overly hard. None of us are pro pvmers either

Dry for 8 hours? Isn't Malevolent energy easily millions per piece? :P Well, money wise, I don't think they much care. They're some of the most loaded people in RS. ;) They are in it for the enjoyment/drops, it seems. And they seem awfully dedicated; it must be disappointing to spend all your waking hours on this and only get 2 of the Mage shields. Doesn't seem as bad as some of those horror stories of players trying to get a sigil from the Corporeal Beast. Also, like others have said, as time goes by more and more players will be able to defeat the boss once the mechanics of the fight are better understood. Not much reason to nerf the boss imho. Seems like everytime a difficult boss monster is released the update thread has the same discussions. Honestly the only "nerf" thats needed is a slight rebalance of karil's bombs, the rest is fine, and anyone who says otherwise just needs to learn. I'm terrible at PvM and that was my only issue.

I also think that todays combo is one of, if not the hardest. The Karil/Ahrim combo is painful specially if they both start spinning and you have a melee who does their spin at the same time. About the only way to make it worse I think would be Karil/Ahrim/Torag and you get ground pounded at the wrong time. Overall this will be fun, we aren't pro pvm'ers and we've never killed vorago but we are working on getting dual ASCB for everyone and then we should be golden.

Spent several hours there last night with some friends, we had one guy with dual Asc, 2 guys in virtus wand book and I had mh asc and an ely. We did fairly well the primary lacking was me with the shield, just couldn't pump out the damage. I do agree that Karils bomb is a little nuts, I don't think the range should be nerfed but the dmg/distance needs to be adjusted. I was in the corner when the bomb was in the middle last night and I got hit for 5400 dmg, thats far to high. Aside from that, we worked out some strategies for which bosses to kill in what order and it went well, the bomb was our only issue. That and need t90 to decent dmg. The guys with t80 mage did okay, but the dual asc was significantly better.

The rich continue to get richer, while the middle class falls further and further behind. It's [bleep]ing bullshit. And I say that as someone with all three Nex sets as well as dual ascensions. Mhmm, along with that Virtus wand and book have reached new heights with the wand hitting the 200mil mark, and bows are 260mil and climbing.
