  1. I assume this is because they've been able to balance dungeoneering much much better without these changes as it was something entirely new. This is assuming you mean the armour in daemonheim itself.
  2. Got 85 tonight. 24 hours, 32 minutes and 50 seconds (of logged in time) it took to get there from 80. http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Frostmane&cn=Mijati Should update soon (still showing me as level 80 lol.
  3. I realise that it's been a long time since I last spammed your profile, so I'm going to start doing so again :D

  4. Locking this as there really is no discussion value to be found here. Thanks.
  5. Jagex can track trades, they have been able to for a very very long time (probably since sometime in classic). That's not the problem. In WoW most of the items you get are untradable, they're worthless. Having gold in the game while it might give you a small advantage is almost unneeded to actually beat the content in the game. A lot of things gold is used for is purely cosmetic or to gain some short term benefit (such as buying a BoE epic instead of waiting for one to drop). In Runescape the economy and items are a huge huge part of the game. The fact that you lose items when you die proves that. To level most skills you need to spend gold (or spending gold makes those skills much much easier to train). These skills are needed to actually play the game and advance in it unlike professions in WoW. All combat equipment (well 99% of it) is bought with money in Runescape and has actual value to other people. Then there's the fact that Runescape servers are all linked unlike WoW servers which are self contained and of course there are discontinued items in Runescape. What would you suggest Jagex do if someone gets their account stolen with a party hat on it, then it gets sold on the GE and someone innocent gets it. Jagex then comes along and restores that party hat to the original account, thus duplicating the item, not the best thing. While yes, it does suck for those few who do end up losing things they've worked hard for if Jagex did start giving back items it'd have huge effect on the game and really it shouldn't happen. And of course you'd get all the people who send in fake claims that they lost their party hat when their account was stolen or when they died with their item and lost it they'd pretend they were hacked and thus waste Jagex's time. So yeah, if you'd stopped for a minute to think about it then there's no way Jagex can do anything and your comment directed at Jagex has no basis to it other than it looking like you're trying to come off as cool for insulting them.
  6. Protip: GM's give you your stuff back, unlike the failures at Jagex Because the two games economies are completely different and items/gold matter infinitely more in RS than they do in WoW.
  7. Or people wear them because THEY like them. I wear my ZMI hoody a lot and not one single person has questioned me on it. If someone noticed it and asked me about it then I'd have no problem admitting that I play. It's nothing about showing it off to people, at least for me. I have a decent selection of t-shirts and often get complimented on them but I don't wear them for that, if it's something I like I don't care what other people will think as it doesn't bother me.
  8. I preferred their old ones. Glad I have my ZMI hoody already. And my Rare Black Lobster t-shirt. The old ones had much more personality in my opinion and these ones just seem much more generic. But maybe it's just me.
  9. Congratulations to Turtlefemm for getting in the gallery for the 2nd time in a row
  10. Jinro - First non Korean into the RO8 at GSL :D. Awesome games by him, loved the rax he kept in his opponents base all through game 1. So two foreigners in Code S now, with Jinro and Idra.
  11. Game is broken as hell, doesn't want to go into windowed mode. And worst of all when I touch Bandage Girl in level 2, the game crashes. Apparently other people have problems with other characters not working (most of them by the looks of it), falling through walls/floors and various other things. Fairly disappointed with this release to be honest, the game is unplayable in its current state. It's a shame as the XBL version seemed to be fine upon release, how did they mess up the PC release so much?
  12. I assume the installation is just like WoW in that you can copy it across to another computer without having to reinstall it. Can't confirm this though. But just putting it on an External drive then copying it across to your new PC should work.
  13. I imagine this is still very very early in the making. As Stellar Dawn is looking like a 2011 release for sure I'd not expect to see this until mid-2012 at the absolute earliest (assuming it's an entirely new MMORPG). Although I guess it'll be borrowing a lot of tech from Stellar Dawn. No clue what it could be though.
  14. Yeah, those two games were awesome. Shame the same couldn't be said for the other 3 in the series. No fantastic GSL games today which is fairly disappointing, hopefully tomorrow is better though.
  15. Yeah, annoyed at the release time too. Doubly annoying as I'll just have left for work at that time so won't get to play it until tomorrow most likely :(
  16. We're pleased to announce that Danqazmlp is now a Super Moderator and that Shiny is now a Global Moderator! Both have been doing fantastic work in their previous positions and we're sure they'll keep that up in their new roles. Congratulations to both of them!
  17. Can you say" HERBLORE INFLATION ONCE MORE?" With a skill that already costs a fortune to get a big update, it just makes it even more expensive to just level it up in general. Cost me a bundle to level it up for quests because of updates :| My impression is they're trying to lower the cost of the skill. With getting 2nds back using the Dungeoneering scroll and the ability to get double herbs while farming it seems that is the case. Although we're not sure how the double harvest will work yet.
  18. If you wait for the next patch before levelling you'll need 20% less xp to get to 80 :P. Hopefully it'll be here next week.
  19. Oblivion isn't an online game, it's a 1st (or 3rd) person single player RPG. FPS stands for First Person Shooter and is what CoD is. Assuming you're looking for a first person RPG then really the Elder Scrolls series is the best choice. Morrowind and Oblivion are both very good games.
  20. There's still "two weeks" left in the month as December doesn't start until Wednesday so I imagine the quest will be on the 30th. A bit of a shame having to wait another week for this but oh well, December should be good anyway :).
  21. 27 golds -> 1 Blue. Means that to get if you make anything higher than Granite crab (level 16) you'll get more experience from the golds than you would the blue charm. At 9 greens -> 1 Blue anything above magpies (at 47) you'd get more xp from the greens than blues. Trading 3 crimsons to 1 blue you'll need to make Smoke Devils (61) or better to get better xp with the crimsons. This is assuming you're making Geyser titans (highest level blue). So yeah, unless you're making familiars way under your level the 3x trade up seems fair to me. With Gold -> Crimson the cutoff point is bullants at level 40. Although the cutoff for greens -> Crimsons is 80 and the hydra.
  22. They need to add more untradable rewards to skills, such as the extreme pots. The things don't even have to be better than current items, for example some equivalent armour to barrows or whatever however it is easily obtainable and doesn't cost as much but requires 90+ smithing to get. These are the updates that Jagex need to add to the game.
  23. His point is, everyone will trade gold/green/crimson for blue, and no one will make gold/green/crimson familiars. The economy would naturally sort that out, if it happens. Blue secondaries would be much higher than they are now, and Crimson secondaries would be cheaper (since no one's actually going to use them anymore). Or, another solution would be; Don't make it so that you get exactly the same xp with better charms. A simple fix would be make a 50% markup on the amount of charms required, making it unworthy of making Crims -> Blues 3 crimsons gives more experience than 1 blue, same with 3 greens/crimsons etc. (Only exception is talon beasts etc. for crimsons).
  24. I didn't find that race boring at all so I have no idea what you're talking about there. Was very surprised they bought Alonso in but I guess after Massa got stuck behind and couldn't "interfere" with Webber's race they didn't have much choice. Well driven by Vettel, he's had an unlucky season and only made a couple of mistakes all season, much less than Alonso and Hamilton. I'm really glad Alonso didn't win it to be honest, never been a huge fan of him. Despite what he did after the race his post race interview was good and fair play to him for what he said. I'd rather Webber have won the championship but I'm happy with Vettel getting it. Will be interesting to see what happens at Red Bull next year, I'm not sure how Webber will be there next year as it'll almost certainly be Vettel's team. I can't wait until next season, why does it have to 4 months away? :(
