Documentary: French Soldiers Had 2 Chances To Kill Bin Laden
DaN replied to tylersk8shop's topic in Off-Topic
its fabricated [cabbage]. It would be in the news if it was true Google News' failure to locate anysuch article goes along way to proving the fictitious nature of that documentry. -

Patents are the stupidest thing to even enter court rooms and need to be abolished ASAP. People have Patents on things like AI and other technologies that noone has yet found away to develope. First come first served I say Patents only holdback development.

Request for hosting a very large file (650 MB)
DaN replied to Barihawk's topic in Tech and Computers
I think your problem will be bandwith each time someone downloads it they will use 650MB of the server allocated bandwith useage. how many people are you expecting to have download it? -
You can connect a switch to your router if the router dosent allow devices connected to it to talk to eachother or you need more than 4ports. You can use a crossover cable to plug the switch into the router the same way you would plug a computer into a router using a standard (aka strait thru) cable.

What if you're connecting to a site with SSL? 90% of the time you wouldent be using SSL But if you are using SSL then it will be encrypted while the SSL is in use but only information to and from the page with SSL enabled will be safe everything else is left open. I found a SecurityNow podcast that explains open WiFi better http://www.grc.com/SecurityNow.htm#10

No I could goto your hotel and see everything! If you dont need a security code to connect to the network then all data transmitted over the airwaves in sent in the clear (unencrypted).

The internet has been filled with "investment" sites that will 'take your money and invest it into Forex and the stock markets' for years now. The rate of returns on some sites is as high as 10%+ daily, anybody with half a brain should avoid those sites like the plague, unless you like to play it as a sort of a 'game' and try to actually profit before they shut down. That's what I read on some HYIP forums about why people do use these 'programs' that shut down almost daily (high yield investment programs). Real HYIPS organised by wealthy banks for selected individuals by the way will have minimum deposits in the millions, not $5. most of those sites are spamvertised Morons who answer spam are the reason 9/10 emails are now spam.

Some people acually do quite well In some cases the reseller has better service than the upsteream provider. Altho I will admitt alot of the resellers doing well built the websites for their clients and then include hosting as part of the deal. Ive considered reselling before from my own server I just dont have time! P.s I remember Viperhost To the original poster there only one address you need to know http://www.webhostingtalk.com the community here can answer anything.

How Do I download .swf files? How do I upload them?
DaN replied to ROBOSRUS's topic in Tech and Computers
No there not! they consist of a single file its impossible to stop someone stealing online content. By default browser developers never included a "save as" function for them because 90% of users will never need to download one their intended purpose was/is for embedding into websites. They are not intended to be unstealable in anyway just no one bothered making it easyer for the avarage user like they did with images. I personally pull them out of my cache recently i started using videodownloader.net to steal from youtube -
Problems are only tempory so a permenant solution is not the best answer. The girl who killed herself after the argument didnt do it because of that there was some deeper phycological reason that didnt show on the surface. Did the two girls know eachother? They both died in the same way

I drove past the other day just for the hell of it Didnt see anything out of the ordinary. Flying cars were invented in the 60's I doubt any of the prototypes (wich were very good at crashing) would happen to be flying over a public park or look like a modern car.
-
I cant belive people think its actually a flying car

I just plugged mine in and windows located it automatically. Mine Workswell Ive used it to connect to unsecured wifi hotspots in my area to download movies. Saves my homenetwork getting clogged up.

Nothing wrong with using a desk fan ive done it to my P4 in the past. The danger is if something falls into the fan it could get smacked into something and cause damage. Apart from that And the noise desk fans work well.

Exactly. You are requesting the item. Sorry to have proven you wrong. I cited a law (Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography And Marketing Act of 2003) which defines spam and this is not spam. This is solicited so it is not spam. This is spam Spam originated on usenet and nothing on usenet is just sent to you you have to request the content . Explain that?
-
NO IT ISN'T. It is not spam. Spam is sending unsolicited email. This would be you requesting a file, wanting to breach copyright, over a peer to peer network. There is absolutely zero law against pretending a file on a peer to peer network is something else. IT IS NOT SPAM! SPAM is a commercial electronic message with the purpose of offering to supply goods or services and/or advertise or promote goods or services MESSAGE means information: in the form of text; or in the form of data; or in the form of speech, music or other sounds; or in the form of visual images (animated or otherwise) *gasp* sorry to have proven you wrong. Spam is not limited to just email I busted a spammer who sent an sms and last time I checked sms wasnt email

but why buy a CD full of crap for just one song? and why pay to recive a rootkit its been known for a long time that you shouldnot open suspicious email attachments. I think its equally stupid to put a CD from one of these crimminals (Sony BMG) into your computer Sony was caught installing rootkits onto peoples machines the recording industry will never be trustworthy enuth for me to put one of their CDs into my computer again.
