  1. Yeah I pretty much never used the RPG in Cod4. The worst thing about prestiging in MW2 to me is only having the RPGs for 5 levels. I've never actually used Danger Close with them, its probably ridiculous, but I find I can get multikills fine without it. I love Skidrow because firing a rocket down either the hall or the tunnel is usually a double kill. Wow mario you really did all that? I mean seriously is boosting really that bad? It sounds to me just throwing on SitRep so you can see the tactical insertions is all you really need. It's grown to a new level. The boosting community in general has grown... there are a lot more of them now and its becoming a big problem. They already destroyed FFA, now they are coming into other gametypes and we may see those destroyed unless we do something about it. I imagine the first to go will be domination or ground war domination matches.
  2. I made an anti-boosting guide on another forum. I'll post it here. [hide]Anti Boosting Guide Hey yall, I created this anti-boosting guide for all those who are sick of no-good boosters and want to help fight the cheating noobs. In this guide I'll include the best setup to kill boosters, strategies for hunting them out and killing them without getting killed yourself, and even pictures of all the maps showing the exact locations of all the booster spots. I'll even include information on the most popular booster spots on each map. So enjoy, and you expert anti-boosters be sure to tell me anything you see in this guide that is missing, or something that needs to be corrected. DEATH TO BOOSTERS! Booster information Boosters mostly play on Free-For-All games, although some have been spotted in domination and ground war domination games. Boosters prefer Free-For-All though, so always anti-boost on FFA matches. The average booster is very inexperienced and has probably only boosted once or twice. Therefore, they make stupid mistakes like not putting ninja or cold blooded on, or boosting in the most ridiculously open spots in the game, or having the same clan tag, etc. But every once and a while you will come across an expert set of boosters, who find the most secluded spots and put on all the right perks. This is why you need to have the absolute best set up so you can counter the best boosters. Spotting boosters pre-game is rather easy. Boosters typically have the same clan tag, or some sort of nuke emblem or title. Check for the Global Thermonuclear War title or the End of the Line title. Also check for the radiation sign emblem (it looks like the spinning nuke emblem, but not animated). Also check if the suspected boosters have mikes. If they both do, you probably have boosters. Also be sure to check the score from the previous game. If one of the suspects has a ridiculously high score, while one has a ridiculously low score, they are probably boosters. Killing boosters When you have spotted a booster, be patient. Get as close to them as you can without them spotting you, then pull out your secondary. If you have a clear shot with your C4 or frag, go ahead and throw it and kill them. Remember you have to cook a frag, if that's your choice of equipment. Alternatively if you think the boosters can gain an advantage over you (for example if there are three with multiple tacs), you can throw a flash, and charge in there with a shotgun or RPG. Remember explosions destroy tactical insertions. If you don't use an explosion to kill them, get over to the tac and aim your gun over it. Then wait til the idiot spawns and give him a face full of bullets (or knife him, hehe). Then proceed to send them each threatening messages telling them you've reported them, even though you might not have. It scares them sh**less. Anti-booster class Assault rifle with heartbeat and silencer (to detect boosters if they don't have ninja on, and to go in silent) Spas or M1887 (for long range shooting) OR RPG (if you have it unlocked) C4 (or if you're bad with fast C4 clicking, use frag) Flash or stun grenade (a smoke grenade doesn't work, it indicates to the boosters that you are coming) Bling Cold Blooded Ninja or Sitrep (sitrep makes it easier to spot boosters, but ninja allows you to sneak up on them without being detected. You can choose which one you prefer) Killstreaks: UAV, counter UAV, predator. UAV incase one of the idiot boosters doesn't have cold-blooded on, counter UAV to sneak up on them, predator to take them out from the air if you know where they are. Maps, with all booster spots Thanks to http://www.mw2blog.com for maps Red spots indicate boosting spots. Yes yes, I realize that by indicating popular booster spots, I may actually help boosters, but I believe releasing this information will increase the number of anti-boosters and increase the anti-boosting cause. While IW is cooking up a solution to elminate boosters, we have to do our part and discourage boosting. Now that I am revealing all the boosting spots, boosters will have nowhere to hide. Afgan - Generally lack of booster spots except for a select bunch of very good ones. Popular spots -Western most area of map (that red strip there), can be accessed by 'sliding down' the cliff without falling. -Sniper rock, southern part of map (on top of rock) -Grassy area, southeastern most part of map (area that juts out) Derail - Contains several secluded areas on the rim of the map away from the main fighting. Popular spots -Behind 1337 train, mid-western part of map. -Strip mall, eastern most part of the map. -Area that juts out, southern most part of map. Estate - Although a large map, there are very few places boosters can hide. Popular spots -Areas around power plant, northern most part of map. -Back woodlands, southern most part of map. Favela - Usually a disfavored map for boosters, because of lack of good spots. Infact, there really isn't one good spot at all. Popular spots -Red spot in eastern most area of map. Highrise - Nearly every area in this map is a combat hotzone, but some clever boosters found some ways away from the fighting in certain specials spots. Pay attention to these spots. Popular spots -On crane. -Second story of the northmost building (the little strip up there, you know). -Roof of the southernmost building. -Back areas of both buildings. Invasion - A booster's wet dream. There are a multitude of extremely secluded areas on this map where boosters like to hide. Popular spots -Entire U.S. Embassy in north part of map. Check the second story first. -Jeeps, where the Rangers spawn in Team Deathmatch. Western most part of map. -Videostore in central part of map, in the red room (the room in the back). Beware of claymores. Karachi - Another juicy map for a booster. There are large secluded spots in the western and eastern parts of the map, plus several other spots dotted around the map. Popular spots -Entire eastern-most area. -Entire western-most area. -Building in northern-most area. -Small room in first story of building to the north. -Building west of the circle in the eastern most part of the map. Quarry - Not the best map to boost, but still littered with a few popular booster spots. Popular spots -In the Offices, the western part of the room, behind the desks. -Very southern most point on map behind the dumpster. -Behind the cars near the place described above ^. -Tiny little room that juts out on Industrial Road (look at map, north region). Rundown - Possibly the most boosted map in the game. There are dozens of booster spots on this map, and many secluded places. Popular spots -Forest area in western part of map (check the grassy area, and the forest). -Inside gas station or outside in western part of map. -Below the two bridges in the riverbed. -In the southern most part of the riverbed, behind those stairs. -Forest area in southern part of map. -Villa (building in eastern most part of map). Search on second story and behind the villa. -Areas south of villa. Several dotted areas hide boosters from the rest of the game, search these areas. Rust - Erm... Scrapyard - A booster's nightmare. There is literally no good spot on this map for boosters to hide, except for one semi-hiden spot behind a rock. Popular spots -Behind rock, northeast part of map. Skidrow - A bad map for boosters except for one secluded spot. Popular spots -Red spot in northern most part of map. Sub Base - Most fighting takes place in mid and eastern parts of map, so western parts are secluded. Popular spots -Western parts of map. -In the building in the central-ish part of the map (garage on map), the room below the catwalk. -In the building (warehouse on map) the tiny area below the stairs leading up to the second story. -Northeastern most part of map (area that juts out, near crates) Terminal - Combat follows almost all areas of this map except a few select locations. Popular spots -In security checkpoint area (rangers spawn), westmost part of map. -The offices near the security checkpoint. -Burgertown, northwest on map. -Northeast most area on map (beware of claymores). Underpass - A damp map where its hard to see. Boosters use this to their advantage and hide in the forests and other areas. Popular spots -Ditch, below bridge. -Red spots in northern most area of map. -The red spot directly south of those areas described ^. -The forest area in the northeast part of the map. -Parking lot in southeast part of the map. Wasteland - Horrible map for boosting, yet boosters still do it here. Popular spots -In two-room house in western part of map. -In one-room house in western part of map. -The two southern areas in the southern part of the map.[/hide]
  3. Yes, because multiple explosions like that wouldn't cause any shaking at all, now would it? It doesn't last long, not a big deal. Damn thing has gotten me killed a few times. Especially when I'm quickly running from one spot to another, and I have to cross the open. I swear, some noob always does a stealth bomber right when I go into the open. Then I'm frozen there for like 5 seconds, practically screaming "KILL ME!" and most of the time I am killed. =\
  4. I would be interested in a tip.it clan.
  5. I've done pathfinder and omnicide. Those are both pretty easy, they just take loads of time (in omnicide's case, you need to meet the right conditions too). But How the? I find quite hard. I've never tried actually trying to complete the challenge, I've just been hoping that one day I'd be lucky enough to see a claymore, shoot it, and by some miracle it kills its owner. But yes now that you mention Sitrep the challenge does seem a lot easier. Quite a nice title to go with it too. Although I must admit the title you receive for completing Misery Loves Company is pretty bad-[wagon] . Combine that with the JUGS emblem and your set.
  6. Yea look on the bright side- all the CP glitchers spam air support so its easy cold-blooded perk kills. Just get out a stinger class with ninja, cold-blooded, and scavenger on so you can get extra stinger missiles from dead enemies. One game I shot down 10 air support (like 7 UAVs lol). I'll have the 100 kills in no time. Already up to 44.
  7. Wasteland domination. Pick off five guys with my WA but run out of sniper ammo. Go up to Bravo, P90 an enemy who's prone, take his Scar silenced. See an enemy sniper in the two houses, take him out. Harriers standing by. Harriers get four kills, deploy chopper gunner. Chopper gunner gets 13 kills, Tactical Nuke standing by. I am literally shaking the whole time. 10TH NUKE W00T!@@@
  8. 8.0 ratio on Skidrow today with magnum tact knife + care package. God watching the killcams are so damn funny. All you see is this guy rushing in at 170 miles per hour, lunging at people 50ft away and killing them. The most hilarious part is when you kill them, your body glitches out and goes into a 'crounch sprint,' with your arms out in front of you. Just watching myself do that on killcams just makes me die laughing every time.
  9. Kill 5 enemies with a single predator? Or is it kill the entire team? I remember doing that challenge... five enemies all spawned at once in the open near the building with three stories (the one with the sniper platform above) on Quarry. Oh and also I had a funny predator kill on wasteland yesterday. The entire enemy team were in the caves, so I aim my predator in the caves, and kill four of em.
  10. Wow so I think MW2 is bleeding into real life. During school today in math, when we had an hour long, extremely boring lesson over graphing polynomials. I kept on hearing "Enemy UAV online!" or "Tango sucka!" (thanks to the above poster for reminding me) or "ENEMY AYE CEE ONE THIRTY IN THE AIR!@@," and dozens more of those helpful calls your terrorist or british buddy gives you ingame. I was kind of enjoying the little voices, when I started imagining myself in different maps in different tight situations and how to get out of them. Like in Afgan, if I was trapped in the opium fields in the enemy spawn, or if I were in Scrapyard, hiding in this small corner of a building while multiple enemies were slaughtering my allies outside, or if I were in Favela, on the sniper roof knowing there are two ways onto the roof, and several other tactical positions to take me out. I was so caught up in my little MW2 fantasy I suddenly stopped myself and realized I had gone insane. I had played so many hours of MW2 that I had become obsessed over it, thinking nothing of it. Two ways into the house. Over twenty ways into second story. Avoid second story. Three ways into building, multiple stories. Stay in corners with heartbeat pointed at wall. One way up the brick house, but body exposed. Avoid brick house. Snipers potentially on boat house. Always check boat house roof before rushing. Sniper hill hotspot. Proceed with caution and be aware there are approximately six hiding spots and multiple snipers. All teammates dead. Go silent. Enemy harriers incoming. Avoid spawn and flags. Enemy predator missle incoming. Get the **** away from teammates. Four ways into first story in Sub base, two ways into second story. Three ways onto roof. Three ways into plane, multiple hiding spots. Avoid plane at all costs. Sniper spots behind opium fields, on sniper hill, in bunker, in second bunker, on top of plane wing, in cave, on top of rock behind cave, in grass to left of cave. And the one I hear most of all is... ENEMY UAV ONLINE! Especially in that goddam terrorist voice. Help me!
  11. Same. I snipe on that one roof (the highest point in the game). When someone tries to come up, I do something sneaky. I jump off that roof, then go back up the stairs really fast. I see the enemy looking around for me, then I run up to him and knife him in the back. Thing is, he doesn't even suspect that I was the sniper on the roof. The killcam makes it look like I was just some random guy who went up the stairs the same time he did. So chances are he will come back and try to do it again, thinking the first time was just bad luck. But he will be wrong... again and again and again.
  12. This freshman at our school two months ago showed me and two friends some weed he had brought to school. A little backstory: the freshman was basically a huge douche, always attempting to outrun us or call us 'fat seniors.' So basically the whole class turned against him and started bullying him (not me, trust me, I'm not the bullying type). Anyway they would always go after him in every single game (always hit him with the dodgeballs first, purposelessly throw hard to catch football passes at him, and tease him to no end when he didn't catch any type of ball). I guess he got a little frustrated and decided he would be the new cool kid in the school if he showed us some weed. He brought it in this ziplock bag, and had quite a few ounces of it. Afterwards one of my friends convinced the other to report him, but I thought they were joking because they were reluctant about it. Well what do you know, I come to school tomorrow morning and hear the freshman was taken in by the school sheriff later yesterday. I couldn't believe my friends had actually reported him. So the kid gets a two month suspension from school. Now its two months later, and apparently he just got back today. So this kid passes me in the hallway, he's got a new haircut and everything, even grew a few inches. He yells the word "[bleep]er" at me and keeps walking, which kind of stunned me. I'm not sure if he thought I reported him or if he's just picking on all three of us. But he yelled it pretty loud and some kids were looking at me like I did something bad. And I'm really not the bad type of kid lol... I make straight A's and am kind to everyone. You know, the non-druggie type of kid. I hope this doesn't continue everyday. I see him like two times during the school day. Oh yea BTW there's a gay confession on like every page of this thread, lol. I've been reading through it starting from the beginning. Up to page 66.
  13. Wow that should be a challenge. How about "How the ****?" (riding off the 'How the?' challenge) Kill an enemy by hitting their C4 in midair as the game winning killcam. 100000 exp and a lobby-full of enemies cussing you out.
  14. unless they changed it, you wouldn't have gotten the show even if you lived. apparently, you need exactly 10 kills 0 deaths for that accolade. a flawless game with more kills doesn't count. Actually, I've gotten The Show over 60 times. :P And actually you don't need exactly 10 kills 0 deaths, it can be over 10 kills, just as long as you have 0 deaths.
  15. It was since it was "security checkpoint, office next to security". I must say that was pretty cool, nothing I could ever do. Yes it was terminal lol. Sorry I forgot to mention that...was too excited.
  16. Omg. I am literally shaking as I type this. Just two minutes ago I played the best game of my life. So I start out on the rangers spawn in ground war domination with a WA2000. I pick off a few guys trying to take charlie, and I get 5 kills in about 2 minutes. So I do my predator missle, and hit their spawn, killing three guys and getting me harriers. I then aim my harriers at their spawn again, which kills one guy with the strike. Then the harrier gets 3 more kills, and I deploy my chopper gunner. And so I'm in the chopper gunner, absolutely owning because I was positioned right above their spawn (I literally held the tigger and aimed inside this building, and I would get multikills every 10 seconds). They were literally spawning and dying to my apache in less than a second. All this and my harrier is somehow still getting kills. So finally the bloodbath is over when my apache goes away. So I check the scoreboard and have a heart attack: 39 kills, 0 deaths. I start freaking out and shaking, knowing that I have already beaten my previous killstreak by 3. By now I've only got 3 shots left with my sniper, and I am all out of machine pistol ammo. So I quickly snipe this guy, and take his ACR w/ red dot. The last few minutes of the game I sneakily move around behind the security checkpoint area, taking out these 2 guys who know I'm there and are desperately trying to kill me. I get to 43 kills, and I'm hiding in the office, waiting for these two enemies to come back, when a STUPID TEAMMATE rushes in and tries to hide there too. So I'm sitting here, totally cussing this teammate out to GET THE **** OUT OF HERE! and not ruin my already insane killstreak. Next thing I know, I see an enemy rush in and knife my ally in the face. Then I run up to him but press my knife too early, and I miss, and I think It's all over... 43 was a good run, but for some reason the guy doesn't even notice me and runs right past me. I quickly pull out my ACR and shoot him in the back. Then I hide behind the security checkpoint again, and one of the enemies think he's smart and throws a flashbang. I aim my gun up to his body, start firing pratically randomly, all while completely blinded, and somehow kill him. I check the score again... 45 kills 0 deaths. Then a grenade lands beside me and kills me. :P About 20 seconds later the game ends. I get MVP and supernatural (and nearly The Show!!) But anyway there's my story. Beat my previous killstreak by 9.
  17. Agree with everything in the 2nd article.
  18. For some reason I'm reminded of 4chan going after the guy that abused the cat... 4chan isn't human... remember.
  19. Lol I know... I just don't even go for it anymore. Since I typically have long lives during games (infact I have something like 800 lifer accolades), I definitely use a lot of ammo per life. Kinda sucks when you run out of wa ammo. But usually I can get by by sneaking around enemies, killing them with my machine pistol, then taking their gun, and getting more kills with that. I prefer wa with silencer and HBS. You can easily double tap (since the wa has no recoil), so its basically one hit kill. Skully_Sc - really all those things you mentioned can easily be countered. Almost every single killstreak reward, deathstreak reward, attachment, etc., has a counter, which can easily destroy it. Just try being a more careful player in general. It helps me.
  20. OMG... domination Ground war on Wasteland is so damn fun. Since everyone is obsessed with taking the flags they don't bother to take out the snipers on the edge of the battlefield... so I used this to my advantage. Got a 27 kills 0 deaths game (didn't have nuke on though). Very fun. I camped in those two buildings right beside eachother that look out toward flag B. EDIT: ^ Estate is fun when you know the multiple ways to invade the house. There's about 20 ways (literally) into the first story, and two ways into the second.
  21. That goddam British TV messes with kids minds.
  22. Is it possible to ignore your previous four packages, and then do another emergency airdrop, right on top of those four, giving you EIGHT? Or... TWLEVE? Or... *shudders* SIXTEEN? Boy the entire match would be swarming that spot.
  23. Wow nice observation haha. It took me two times to read what you wrote it get it, but I didn't notice that. Well that wasn't his observation. He borrowed it from the original thread on the RSOF, from one of the few rants threads that actually made sense (now that I think about it, why was it in the rants section?).
  24. Holy... that is a lot of rep. Lost quite a few troops there though.
