Not to be rude to the OP, but what are we supposed to discuss here? It's only a matter of agreeing or disagreeing with you.

About 2 years ago the rants forum was a lot better. I mean, of course it was god awful two years ago, but now its just... unbearable. Infact, not unbearable, there's just no words to describe it... except perhaps /b/! No wait, its nothing like 4chan, nevermind. It has a long ways to go. :P But I gotta say, I really enjoy some of the threads there. Some of them are just hillariously stupid, funny, or insane. I enjoy the spam. :thumbup:

Yea some of the kills are absolute BS. It makes me so mad when I have the obvious advantage (hiding behind a dumpster or something, with a shotgun aimed at where the enemy will come), and I get killed in the stupidest way. Because of the miniscule lag on games, enemies are sometimes able to accidentally pull of headshots (even though at the time they were aiming near the upper chest or just barely away from my head). The bullet delay causes some frustrating deaths... But yes you are right. MW2 is just too damn addictive to quit. :mrgreen: Also another minor thing I've noticed with multiplayer matching... sometimes I am matched with ridiculously good, hardened, experienced players, who kick my [wagon] in every game because the idiots know how to stick together and pile, and then sometimes I am matched with ridiculously stupid, idiotic players (usually tons of rank 30s and below), who can't shoot a gun for their life, whom I slaughter and end up with tons of supernatural accolades. It never seems to match me with players at my level... shouldn't that be exactly how it works?

Erm sorry for the noobiness but I just got this game for Christmas and I'm very confused. I mostly use the spy class, as I'm a sneaky kind of guy, but I cannot for the life of me figure out when I'm cloaked and uncloaked. I know how to activate the disguises, I just don't know how the enemy can tell that I'm not their teammate. I go through all the trouble of going behind enemy lines, I even painstakingly position myself behind the enemy, instead of rushing in front of them to avoid any suspicion, but for some reason some enemy ALWAYS, SOMEHOW figures out I'm not one of them, and I get shot in the back. Can someone tell me how this happens?? Or perhaps explain the spy class altogether?

You talking about the sniper shottie? If so yes I think that is way overpowered. Infact, I agree, almost all the shotguns are messed up.

camping are very bad I try not to camp... it just depends on the positions of the enemies. In this case, they had the blue building surrounded so if I even tried to take a step out I would have probably been shot. My main aim in games is to get least deaths; its a matter of choosing when to move and when I have to camp. But honestly I don't like to camp and be labeled a camper, it just happens sometimes to avoid deaths in certain tight situations. :( Oh and on other note I'm going to try to go for a 3.00 K/D ratio. It's going to be a tough challenge, but after playing runescape so much I'm used to ridiculous goals. :P

Omfg. This has been my best night ever. So about five games in I'm in Afgan and doing pretty well. I hid by the stairs and got 5 kills, then with my predator got a triple kill with all the enemies coming up through the cave. Then, with my harrier strike, I got another triple kill by aiming it right outside the cave. Then of course I deploy my pavlov. So I'm up to 11 kills, my harrier and pavlov are right above the enemies, and it was a bloodbath. My two aircraft combined ended up getting 15 more kills, adding up to 26 kills total, all with 0 deaths. Then some [wagon] jumped me from behind and then a few seconds later the game ended. Well, I ended up shattering my previous killstreak record of 20, and brought it up to 26. Then a few games later on Scrapyard, I camped in the blue building and got a 28 killstreak, 0 deaths (the final game was 28 kills, 2 deaths for me, I got MVP). :thumbsup:

I was thinking more like Tip.it versus RSOF. I don't think the other fansites are too enthusiastic about participating in any multi site wars anymore. Tip.it would initiate loads of mass recruiting programs of course, and we'd probably get about 600 people. RSOF could easily pull 1400 people. Jagex doesn't even need a front page announcement (that would probably draw tens of thousands- yikes). I was thinking along the lines of just a few stickies in the general board, events board, and clan board. And consider this too- Jagex wouldn't "cheat," they are obviously a legitimate company and wouldn't even dare hire outside rune clans (I still remember that controversy in MSSW3 and 4, some fansites accused eachother of hiring high level rune clans) or do anything else sketchy. It would be a nice fair fight which may reduce some of the flaming in the end. No one can call it an unfair fight (unless tip.it cheats :( ). I was hoping the admins could help contact Jagex about this idea. That's all I'm asking of the admins- just to propose this idea to jagex and then let jagex talk to us non-admins interested in doing this. We could iron out the rules with them and make sure everything is fair. Then we'll set a date, a time, all that, and even set out the leaders and commanders beforehand. Tip.it could have some temporary 'MSSW5 organization team' to run the mass recruiting campaign and make sure everything goes smoothly. Remember last MSSW, when people simply assumed power and then later there was a debate about how was actually in charge of the tip.it team? Let's eliminate that and have a good, organized team to pick the leader. (Maybe das wants to lead this time? hehe) Heck we could even rename the war. Since we may initiate this on our own, we may want to drop the name Multi Site Steel War 5, since its no longer affiliated with the creator (Dustin). I'm not going to let go of this idea until I'm proven wrong that it won't work. To me the MSSWs were a great tradition and we should continue them. Unor- I know we don't agree. :P I was just using something you said to prove my point.

Damn. Nice honesty. Well if you think you're alone you're definitely not. I attempted suicide once when I was 14 over the stupidest thing in the world. Also by the time you get out into the world as a full adult people will be more accepting of gays and bis, so I wouldn't worry too much about that. I'm not judgmental at all, infact it pleases me to hear people say these things because it makes me feel better about being honest myself. So um... thank you. :smile: What you have to understand is the OT people on tip.it are actually REALLY accepting. I mean, seriously, a ton of people on here have admitted to being gay/bi (just scroll through this topic, there's practically one per page). EXACTLY my point. The MSSWs were so fun and memorable everyone is still talking about them today. I always see references to past MSSWs while I'm browsing through the forums. This topic only adds to the point that those wars were some of the most unforgettable wars ever. Despite some people thinking they were unfair or that too many people forgot it was fun, I think a vast majority of those who participated in the wars remember it as being a very thrilling and memorable event. This is why I think we should have a MSSW5, to bring back that awesomeness. :razz:

I think it's too late now. I'm not trying to be a pessimist (really, I'm usually an optimist), but my high school is full of rich white, stuck-up kids. Yes most of them are nice but most all of them have an underlying stuck-up side to their personality. I guess it's not the fact that I don't have hundreds of friends that bothers me, its the fact that most people would probably be all "what the hell are you doing kid, trying to be friends with us? Get lost." if I tried to do that. My school has its advantages (being one of the best schools in the state), but I really can't stand people sometimes. I'm just glad I have a few really nice friends who aren't stuck up. Yes I think I just completely reversed my statement. I WANT to have more friends though, just friends who are nice, not mean. :P And did you ever have one of those experiences where you've built up your rep so much (my rep being the 'smart' kid who doesn't talk in class much), that if you do suddenly start doing completely opposite behavior, people will be like "did that kid go crazy?" Kids are so judgmental in my school- that's another thing that bothers me. You can see why I'm really looking foward to college. No one will know me, so I can literally make a new me- one that is a lot more talkative, open, and always smiling. Yes... I'd like that.... muhahaha HAHAHA! :twisted: Eh for now I try to make up for it by having a nice personality on the internet. I like to be open, talk to people, be honest, be non-judgmental, all that.

Keep up the good work. :shock: I agree with the neck suggestions. Head defintely needs to be moved up quite a bit, and the neck needs to be re-done. Right now it looks like a curved rectangular prism... it needs to be a bit more rounded (can be fixed with shading, I'm not sure if you haven't added that yet or not).
