After reading the first post I was in a furious rage against Jagex, but after reading through this entire thread, I am siding with Jagex now. The arguements that the anti-jagex people are putting out in this thread are either invalid or are backed up by no evidence. Therefore, I must agree with Jagex. I believe they are doing this to build the Runescape community, which is important in my opinion. Those who say that Tip.it will be the 'puppet' of Jagex are working off the age-old view of Jagex as the "PROFIT, PROFIT, PROFIT" company. Although Jagex is a company, and intends to profit, they have good intentions and I believe they are truly trying to build a better community, not use some cruel blackmail scheme to suck in more pounds. Hasn't recent Jagex policy been enough evidence that they aren't just the guys who take your money?

Well my friend, you should learn how to effectively use it. I kinda have to agree with Skully. Unless your strategy can prove us wrong. :P

Well that was fun. I just beat Dragon Age Origins and Awakenings. I must say that was a very well made game. Kudos to Bioshock- I had never tried any of your games before this and this was a great experience. Dragon Age was AMAZING. Great storyline, great characters, great weapons/armor. What I loved most about the game is you could be a kind, merciful warrior or a rude, unforgiving bastard. I chose the path of the merciful and always tried to help people, never begging for more rewards, and denying rewards when I did not need them. I made a lot of friends, and kept a lot of my party members that way (but I still cried when I felt it was my duty to side with Queen Anora and Alistair left :'( ). At first I really didn't get into the talking part of the game, I just wanted to kill stuff (I was probably too used to MW2), but in time I learned that listening and paying attention to the conversation was not only helpful, but also engaging. But of course it was still fun to skip past the drier conversation and go right to battle, whacking stuff with my dwarven sword and hitting 400+s. One of the great strengths of this game I think was the ability to customize your ally's tactics. Previous RPGs have always been plagued by stupid AI, but no longer! I loved spending hours getting my allies tactics just right, so they would be the perfect warrior in battle. My main setup was Sten, Morrigan, and Alistair. Sten was the tank; I gave him super high constitution plus some heavy armor, plus I got him to constantly use the taunt and threaten talents. Morrigan was the support mage; I gave her high willpower and magic, and made her stay on the backlines like a frightened little girl spamming heal spells. Alistair was my main buddy, he was my right hand man with the same stats and same armor as me, slashing away at those darkspawn smashing our tank around (now you can see why I was so sad that Alistair left). Near the end I also experimented around with romance. I wooed Morrigan and eventually got her to "bed" with me, which was hillarious. I think she started out "Tis cold in my tent..." or something. Apparently the character you romance gets bonuses, so that's also nice. My ONLY complaint is that the leveling up seemed too slow. Why do they give you a massive set of spells and talents when in the end, you'll only ever unlock about 15 of them? I felt that my characters were incomplete because they didn't have the full set of talents/spells that made them a perfect class (ex. morrigan having all the heal spells, sten having all the tank talents). I just wish there were either faster level ups or a lot more enemies to fight. I felt... incomplete at the end (but still managed to kill the archdemon and the mother). Archdemon was kinda a pushover too...

Well the cheap perks are fun in MW2 (commando and OMA), but I REALLY hope Treyarch removes those two in cod7. Treyarch seems to care more for their customers than IW, so that might help. Yes I am a commando/OMA noob sometimes. It's extremely fun but equally as annoying when it happens to you. I'd just rather have it out of cod7 completely.

How will Cold Blooded stop a Precision Airstrike? Which is also useless in a fire fight. Which is why a lot of people use Stopping Power, because when it comes down to it, nothing else [bleep]s [cabbage] up as well in a fire fight. how will SP stop a precision airstrike? :o and cold blooded > useful killstreaks like pred or ac130 or any chopper. SP only helps you show up as a red box. the extra damage against vehicles from the pro version probably won't do you any good because either 1. you die everytime you unload into said kill steak or 2. a smart teammate with cold blooded shoots said kill streak down with a stinger before you can because he was not respawning 4/5 the time the kill streak was up, though he mightve been [bleep]ing about his dumb [wagon] teammate that did not have cold blooded on standing next to him got him killed a few times. I do perfectly fine without SP in firefights against kids with scar or acr or tar or m16 etc. I find SP a waste of a tier 2 perk, and in my mind those who use it are a little less experienced players that only believe one thing: whoever can do the most damage per bullet fired will win, regardless if any of those bullets hit. and I find that in killcams, maybe 1/5 that have SP are spray and prays. What I was trying to get at was that you saying "if youre talking about shipment, then maybe. but cold blooded pro fixes that" is false, as cold blooded won't save you from that Precision Airstrike. I communicate with my team, as soon as air support is in I ask if anyone is going to take it down. If I get a no or no answer I switch to a class with Cold Blooded and shoot it down, otherwise I stay safe until it is shot down. I find stopping power can greatly tip the scales in my favour, as I spend less time shooting at the person (as long as I'm hitting them, of course.) This gives the other person less time to react, and I don't show up on radars as long. To be honest I'm not much of a Cold Blooded fan, my favourite Tier 2 perk is Hardline. Wait... you actually help your team? =\

I prefer to go through life without any advise (it helps me try new things), but thank you. I know you are trying to help. :P But yes that is normally good advise, I would imagine. Infact I found myself imaging what it would have been like if I had done that, and it didn't turn out pretty lol... you see some kids at my school have really close knit groups of friends whom don't dare 'venture out' and meet new people . Yes its a bit depressing. But I always try to look at the positive side. At least I have my own group of friends hehe (they just weren't at the party, damn them).

Mmm sometimes I have some bad times in my life. It happened today at a party. A little backstory: We're hosting a german exchange student who is staying at our house for three weeks. She's very nice, and very cute. We went to a party for all the other german exchange students, and their families too. There are about 14 exchange students. So when we got there my student immediately went to chat with some of her german friends, and spoke in german, so I felt it would be awkward to go over there and try to make conversation in English. I was planning to talk to her and to get to know her friends, since I'd really like to get to know her better (she's only been here two days). But then more people started arriving, and they were all speaking german. The american hosts (which were all my age, teenagers) were all having their conversations and I felt depressed because I didn't know any of them even though they went to my school. I wished at that moment so badly that I knew maybe just ONE person really well, so that I could chat with him and I could have a fun time. But instead I went over to the adults, and I felt like a freaking outcast. I was the only teenager who was not conversing with another teen, and not having a fun time. I felt like people were judging me, but I tried to convince myself this was not true. Then I remembered almost all teens are douches in the inside, so obviously that made me really depressed. I just wanted to escape from the party, so I left the house without anyone noticing and walked around the neighborhood for about an hour, on the verge of crying. It was cold and I was all alone feeling like crap. I thought this party would be a great time for me to really get to know my german student, and maybe even get closer to her. She's really damn pretty. But no... I'm the weird kid who isn't talking to anyone. Ugh. Near the end of the party I made up some dumb excuse like I had a headache, and that's why I wasn't talking to people. I said, please, let's go home, because I wanted to get out of that place extremely badly. Anyway, I usually don't have bad days like that. They are very rare. I try to place myself in situations that would make me happy, but that one backfired. When I get sad I try to think positive; I'm an optimist. But sometimes that doesn't work. I'm feeling better now though. And I'm still working on getting to know my exchange student really well. We talk a lot when we are alone and I hope to keep it up. I'm thinking I might try to take her to the movies, just her and me. Or maybe to the mall, I don't know. Its nice that I can drive, that way I can take her places. I feel really... light? (I guess that's the right word) when I'm near her. Something about her being european is... attractive, I guess. Well that was a good confession. I think its about my fourth post of confessions on this thread. Hope you enjoyed the story, you creepy 40 year old men pretending to be teenage girls (just kidding, that wouldn't happen on tif!). Also here's another confession: I think I take video games way to seriously. I mean, really. I'm f**king obsessed with my Kill to death ratio in MW2. Its like a goddam addiction. I get really depressed when it goes down and when it goes up I'm saying to myself its not going up fast enough. Sigh. I just wish sometimes I had another Xbox live account where I could screw around in any game I wanted without worrying about stats. When I die in games I start cursing and get extremely angry. I look at the goddam killcam with my mouth agape, just wondering how I could be so stupid. If I don't have a 10.00+ ratio in a match I tell myself I did bad. Its almost like I have a separate personality bullying me into playing games like they are real life- you make a mistake, and you lose a lot. But of course its just a dumb game and doesn't mean anything... I just wish I could forget about the goddam K/D ratio. Sorry I don't mean to brag, really I don't. I just wanted to get that off my chest too.

The two most annoying classes are the knife monkey and OMA toobin classes. But hands down I'd say the commando/knife monkey class is the most annoying. Its just so frustrating and aggravating to get killed by one of those guys.... hehe. Oh and if we were talking about this on the IW forums a lot of people would be pissed off. Promoting "cheap" classes is considered taboo on that site.

Well using a gun that gives you a disadvantage sounds like a dumb idea to me. Although I guess if people like to play that way... so no offense to them.

EBR is the best sniper with a silencer and cold blooded. This is because the EBR has virtually no recoil plus a high fire rate. Despite its low damage compared to other snipers, it can be used as an extremely effective double tap weapon. The only disadvantage is you'll be using two bullets every kill, so you'll obviously have less potential kills than a loud sniper. But the advantage is cold blooded hides you from UAVs and enemy air support, so you usually end up with less deaths. .50 cal is the best sniper without a silencer and with stopping power. The .50 cal has the highest damage out of all snipers, and if you combine that with stopping power, and take off the silencer, it's a pretty bad [wagon] OHK gun. As I like to say, the one hit kills are from the balls up. Literally. You can shoot their balls and you'll get a one-shot-kill, but shoot anywhere below that and you'll get a hitmarker. The walther is the best sniper for either of the two following combinations: a silencer with stopping power, or no silencer with cold blooded. With either of those combinations one hit kills are from the upper torso and upwards, which is pretty darn good if you ask me. The walther also has low recoil (but EBR has even lower recoil), and a high fire rate, but low clip. The intervention... well it just plain sucks. It has the same damage as the .50 cal, but has a massive recoil, the lowest fire rate of all snipers, and the lowest clip of all snipers. So someone explain to me why the hell people run around with this crappy gun.... Honestly the best setups are either totally silenced EBR or totally loud .50 cal. Both work wonders on different maps and gametypes. .50 cal loud is beastly on Wasteland, and EBR silenced is beastly on Derail, for some examples.

Freakin stealth bombers.... god I hate those things. You've got your silenced AR with silenced perks sneaking around the enemy base, getting some nice kills, when all of a sudden you get killed by a random stealth bomber. Then you look at the killcam and see that it wasn't even intended for you- the idiot aimed it at your team but the line that the bombs made just happened to pass over you. RAAAGE!!!! All the other killstreaks I"m fine with. Just wish they would give the cobra and AC130 more power... they suck compared to their counterpart killstreak rewards.

I think you have to have a save file of Origins first before you can play Awakening. (not sure how it works for 360 though) The product description said it can be played as a stand-alone game. I hope that's right... Can you guys tell me if awakenings is an entirely different game, or is it just origins with some expansions?
