  1. I'm going to take your interest in abs over flaws, as a compliment ;P Well, this boat's gonna be a bother, so if anyone has a suggestion, so I can avoid doing planks or something, please suggesterize! I may make that pegarm a hook, and yus, abs may be on the way, possibly a nice big belly. Just waiting for feedback from my friend. Oh, so apparentely, pjb only asks the good artists "personal questions". Makes me feel warm and squishy inside.
  2. How on earth did you manage to write "death of a woman" that many times, without losing immense quality! I like the mono-style ;P
  3. It's actually quite a compliment to be asked that to be honest. Nice to know people are that interested ;D I'm 14 years old and I've been pixelling for maybe six months on and off, but I've done hardly any actual stuff during that time. I'd normally make his physique(sp?) a bit more piratey, but I'm making it for a good friend and I'm not sure he'd appreciate my interpretation of him with a beer belly. ;O
  4. Thanks ;P Well Remoteman, I would have made pegarm a hook, but I need it for the other pirate, who shall be arriving soon... I'm pretty sure s[bleep]y means something similar to groovy, or spiffy. I hope so at least. Oh yeah, I'm also trying to vary my colour choices, so my skin tones and clothes and stuff aren't just all one colour with different levels of saturation ;D Yus, you guys reply fast.
  5. Well, not very piratey yet, but an eyepatch and the like shall appear, in time. Gonna redo the peg leg (arm), which I never really started properly. Erm, tried a different shading style. Try to give cc, even though it's still very much a wip. Thanks :D
  6. *Crude term for someone who jumps on the bandwagon.
  7. The term "fadwhore" seems to be increasingly common at the moment. Very nice. Looks very pretty for 2x :D
  8. I'm not really liking this, I don't see it working imo. I think if you color it, and use the pattern as an emboss in the face, it will look more interesting.
  9. "Dither this, dither that.." Not everything needs dithering.
  10. It's looking good, but I think it would look better and be more meaningful in an array of light colours, perhaps a bit darker in the bg to give the angel an aura, or as if wherever it travels, the light follows. :P Can't wait to see it finished.
  11. I'll just see if anyone who hasn't done a square yet wants one, I'm pretty sure B2D did :P
  12. My eggs, why are you complaining about not having squares? Despaxes offered you his and you declined. It doesn't seem like such a big deal for you to have squares. Eh? Sorry if you were just making a point about people taking other's squares.
  13. I believe he posted on a different forum that he got the colours from a ref pic.
  14. Age is not really a factor in artistic skill, being observant, and understanding how light and substances work is a really important thing.
  15. I'd have to agree :P Well, it's looking nice, but I really wouldn't like to be in a room with that carpet
  16. What.. :-s Tranlation= good job Ok, perhaps I'll try and make it a bit more "low brow". Big powerful dude chucked two more dudes into the world. One talented in respresenting realism in artwork, with masterful placement and an amazing style. Another, totally original, with limitless possibilities and much talent. Together, they set forth to do the impossible, yet brilliant. This mission, they called "Perfection".
  17. I think shadow could be used to define the faces better, at the moment they are quite hard to make out. Looks good nonetheless, nice to see you back ;)
  18. That carpet is really spooking me, I think some flagstones or something would suit the room more anythings, perhaps with some red carpet runner thing down the middle. Anyways apart from that it's very nice, though the character is quite hard to make out.
  19. Smapla, that's all well and good, and it is quite smooth, but most pixel-artists tend not to use such similar colours whilst shading :P Btw, mine was just 2 minutes in MsPaint ;O
  20. I'll take 18! 30 and 51 are taken by Kryptic and Kuroi :P
  21. I concur. Perhaps I could take a square from someone who hasn't visited recentely and has several squares? Would that be ok?
  22. There are more varied dithering techniques.. Examples shall follow. Zoomed. Actual size. As you can see, dithering can be more diverse to help blend the colours, create textures, and look hawt :P Dithering is not usually necessary with two similar colours, unless you wish to create a certain texture, of course.
  23. Seeing as virtually every other condition has been used, (fire, water, grass, earth) how about an icy mountain? Perhaps with some kind of creature at the top... Just a suggestion Black flat ill try it. if im any good at all, ill keep both squares... (sory lovelydude) Your generosity was kind enough. It's just a square lol. Though I would appreciate it if Ter added some more squares. Check out my new avvy, lol. :P
  24. Thanks for the AA on my waterfall Ter :D Lookin' good, though I hope someone doesn't do their square(s) so I can do another!
  25. Ok, when I tried to edit my post, it created a new post with the edit quoted.. EDIT: I have to go away to the holiday house for the weekend. No internet :(
