  1. We need some progress peoplesh @_@
  2. I like this a lot. There's plenty of space, and everything is clean and readable. The layout's nice and comprehendable, and your use of complementary colours keeps it vibrant and interesting. No crits, just keep working at it. ;D
  3. Just started this tonight, from a lineart I made about a year ago. >_< Crits and comments please. Edit: Not sure if it's an improvement, but it's an experiment. @_@ My sister wanted to watch me pixel  Took me five minutes. Update: Still heaps to do.
  4. Does anyone else find it strange, how some people here bring up the A word, and ask for people to learn it, when they don't particularly succeed at it themselves? Oh wells. Firstly, get your anatomy correct. Regardless of how well you fulfill other parts of the artwork, incorrect anatomy can make it poor work. From there, I suggest you actually learn to Anti-Alias. At the moment you're just banding. When you shade, please get the colours and form correct before you try to dither. Please. Also, contrast would be nice. @_@
  5. Zeeky, chill out.. He's just learning. My Eggs, I'd like to see some updates, perhaps that would sway some people's opinions. ;P Don't get defensive and stuff, just take it in your stride. Remember, it's the internet, some people forget they are addressing someone with feelings, and who is trying their best.
  6. Whoa.. I'm very suprised someone could be attracted to a distorted image of a human. @_@ I have to agree with WeeBoab here. It's not like you even edited the pictures (noticably). Skewing them so that they would be flush with the outline, and look correct with the perspective would have been easy, and improved this greatly. There's some strange blurring going on in odd places, most clearly seen on the right side of the person. Yeah, need a lot of improvement.
  7. I can do the best Australian accent ;P When you try and sound Australian, extend your vowels, but don't drone. Also, emphasise important consonants, like t, s (but don't slur or hiss), and always make a strong "aah" sound (not held though) when pronouncing a, after a consonant.
  8. Did an edit to show how you might use the shades better to define his face, and fix the nose. You're on your own with the eyes. @_@ Edit: Nice edit Terley ;O OT ;P So you live in Sydney eh? If ever you come to Manly beach, pop over to Manly Blades and ask if Preston is around ;D
  9. You're kinda' ignoring the critique. His body needs a form, whether it be bone of flesh. At this stage, it looks like a cloak draped over an arrow with a curved head, and a sphere to lift the hood. Like this, but vertical. -----)O The lines need a lot of fixing. I'll edit his left arm to illustrate. Note how on the outer edge, the line is less jagged, and smoother. This is perhaps not the best example, because your linework is quite weak. D: Work on the shading aswell, but I suggest you make another lightsource, because; 1. There would surely be more lightsources affecting him, unless he were in a pitch black space. 2. It will be harder to understand his form and shade correctly because the halo creates a challenging lightsource. Oh yeah. More contrast.
  10. Haha, the last one's brilliant. Rendering could be better, but it suffices in display the wonderful joke. ;D The shifty eyes are a great touch. ;P
  11. I'm reffering to the fact, that the muffin's form, as in it's shape cannot be completely interpreted. This needs to be aided by correcting lightsource issues, and spending more time shading to help produce depth. Yo. ;P
  12. You know, I whole heartedly believe that you actually hugged the tablet ;P Nice stuff, but work on you lightsource, and detail/texture. At the moment I can't really see the full form of the muffin, and it's impossible to tell which parts are paper, and which are muffin. Very nice though ;D
  13. Use heaps of contrast, and lots of saturation with the middle shades, for the explosion part.
  14. It most certainly is angled.. About 30 degrees from vertical.
  15. Yar, well... In my defence, my drawing skills fail D: Kinda hard to express angled limbs without proper shading and stuff @_@
  16. Updated ;@ Refer to first page.
  17. Awr, I can see the image! D: Can someone rehost, my router blocks it. Regarding perspective crits, not particularly valid, because of aforementioned reasons. @_@ Regarding foreshortening, and limbs with hiddens bits; all will be far more clear when I colour. Hopefully a bit of depth will improve the readability.
  18. Edited the head, it's kinda lacking anatomy, shading, interest, etc.
  19. Pink is quite right, there is a bit of extreme perspective involved, as his left leg is so close to the viewer, but yes, it is mainly that when one lifts their leg whilst running, the muscles are strained, depending on your fitness level, and your speed whilst running. Korla, you'll have to elaborate. I have no idea what you're talking about ;P
  20. I thought I made sure to fuzzy that up @_@ I don't think it's considered inappropriate, it's not like it's noticeable without straining one's mindpowaz.. Some people just have a mind drawn to the dwellings of the crotch ;P However, I think his head's small.. Could someone verify this plz ;@@@
  21. Yus well... It's a caveman running with his pony friend @_@ It all just came out of my fixation with practicing leggies in MSPaint. Also, I've never drawn a horse before, and I didn't use refs for anything >_<. To be honest, I've never even ridden a horse. D: Taxing work I tells ya. I had to draw this with a touchpad on my laptop D: So anyways, I'm thinking of pixelizinating this. Got it, Yo. So, um give me inspiration, crits, comments, and anything else you might have laying around. Also, please don't edit or do anything of that nature unless you are confident that IMPROVEMENT will be made from it. ;P Oh, for those interested, this took me a total of 26 minutes :handpains:
  22. Haha, just roaming the forum ;@ I'd give you 7/10 Jem. I see you occasionally, but I can't seem to forget you @_@
  23. Well... My sexual innuendo knows no bounds. I fell into a campfire. I wear booties with wheels on them. I have for over six years. :@ Woo Shima Sevens, same as mine, except souls. >_< People tell me I come across as far less intelligent and talented as I actually am. I suppose so, since most of my friends hadn't seen one of my completely filled sketchbooks till just recentely, of which I have dozens. I worry that people will think I'm weird because I chew on cotton all the time, usually from loose threads on my shirts. @_@ I visit a Runescape forum, but I have sworn off Runescape. I just farted. I tend to name my farts. The former was called Gobby. Don't ask. I refuse to use supplied smilies. I bought a copy of David Bowie's Diamond Dog's album, where his weird furry penis could be seen, just because.. It goes way beyond all that though. Also, whenever I hear a certain Guns'n'Roses song (can't recall which one) I think about a song, regarding a gypsy who put a spell on a man who would never leave her side, that I wrote several years ago. Once again Don't Ask.
  24. Only spent about 20 minutes on it, but I thought I should enter to keep this comp alive ;P
  25. You're not saying it's Top Gun? Are you? @_@ Bleh, smelly movie D:
