  1. So if i understand it right, the double exp starts on friday at 12 in the afternoon, so that means we're less than 24 hours away :D Here's a countdown too:P
  2. To me the golden days were 2005/2006, but it's all sentimental bs, your mind prefers to remember only good things so the past allways looks better than the present. That's why the golden days are actually now, as these will be the golden days of the future.
  3. Right... So because you don't like the fact there isn't a reward for putting the replica together, you assume that jagex has rushed this update... Ever thought they intended it to be like this? It makes perfect sense to me that a *replica* doesn't give an exp reward. Don't expect the full statue to be anything big either. /edit: wouldn't expect something like that from a maxed player btw
  4. no, only unfinished pots (except serum).
  5. Well, if you consider that you have a chance to get a Strange rock once per "click" of whatever skill you're getting (one swing of your pickaxe, one log burnt, etc.) it does make sense that the 1-by-1 Runecrafting method is best. Crafting an entire inventory of ess/pess at once is only "one click" for the skill, while if you drop the entire inventory and craft them one at a time, that's 28 individual chances to get it. Well you'd think that, but at zmi altar you get the rock in between (!) different stacks of runes, so for example: nat, body, rock, blood, air, etc. This implies the rocks chance is based on the amount of essence instead of the amount of crafts. I failed to take a pic of the 2 rocks ive gotten through zmi, but it was like this both times. I'm not saying this is *true* I'm just saying it's to be considered :P Also: theres a bug with smelting gold ore, you can't get the rock with a full inventory atm.
  6. I beg to differ, I've seen a commercial on dutch television from runescape :P Well i'll really be glad if there will be an influx of new players (finally!). Whenever i see low level accounts i usually ask if it's their first account (I asked someone just 3 days ago), they *always* have mains, this really saddens me as it seems the player base has been the same for years now. Past polls here on tip.it show this as well btw (source)
  7. Well it is meant to be a community event. When everyone can do it at any time its hardly a community event as no one will do it at the same time. I do think that this is a good initiative on Jagex' part they should just have only included DIY skills like fishing, mining, rcing, etc. Maybe next time :)
  8. No, that one was horrific for me as well. Falconry is not the quick, easy fix it was made out to be. Yeah. You both probably had it worse than me, but it took me 1.5 hours to get the first two hunter rocks from falconry. well it took me 3 minutes with falconry, but yeah some of my friends were there for hours upon hours. Guess i was just lucky.
  9. Congrats :D Does the slayer full helm now work on tasks that don't require a slayer level?
  10. Not really old but the oldest i have: thats january 2005, and yes apperantly i didnt know how to crop yet (and no i cba to do it now :P) /edit: ok ok i cropped it anyway :P
  11. thats true, a week from the last time you completed it (which i already explained 4 posts above yours)
  12. Well, then again, you're max'ed. A virtue not everyone here shares ;)
  13. I have full grown mage trees in all tree patches, palm trees in all fruit trees and calquat and spirit tree are both ready as well. I have trained rc to 70 so i can get it to 75 on the weekend and yesterday I've finally gotten 66 hunter to be able to wear the spottier cape I've had since the day hunter was released (lol!). I still have to plan my starting route before Friday though and I will have my inventory ready with all needed teleports and rc equipment. My starting point will probably be at gnome village fruit tree patch since it's the least accessible. :)
  14. Age doesn't really matter imo, it's much like this: I listen to AC/DC a lot, but i will never be seen wearing a shirt from them (or any other band for that matter), but i do thoroughly enjoy them. It's the same for RS i enjoy playing it greatly but I have no desire to wear or use anything from RS.
  15. You can complete the statue in any timespan you wish to, but you're only allowed to complete the next statue 7 days after you complete the first and so on and so forth for the next statues. This means it takes a minimum of 30 weeks to complete the POH statue as you will need 30 replica pieces in total. The post above yours (from Howlin0001) is pure speculation on his part and has no factual basis whatsoever.
  16. I wouldn't either. Surely all together the exp will be over 1M for those with skills above 70, surely that should be worth it? Again if people don't like getting the stones, the simple idea is to not get them. Purely from the fact it takes at least 30 weeks for everyone to get the full reward makes me think it wont give a reward that gives you an unfair benefit over other players, be it in combat, in training skills or anything else. It might give an additional experience reward in the form of lamps, or something else that gives a small benefit. My money is on that it's just the statue though, and there wouldn't be anything wrong with that. What i do think is that Jagex should tell us upfront what the reward is, so we can decide for ourselves whether we find it worthy enough to devote our time to, at this moment we are all convicted to doing this every week for the off-chance that it *does* give something greatly beneficial.
  17. I agree, sometimes it's nice to have a break from updates so you have the opportunity to adjust to the ones we've had...
  18. http://forum.tip.it/topic/257549-post-all-rs-screenshots-videos-and-sounds-here/page__view__findpost__p__4141561
  19. ok in that case i trust you, i was just afraid it was a "i heard from a guy, who told a guy, who told my friend, who told me" kinda story ;)
  20. smelting gold works, dunno about superheating though, can anybody confirm? :P im pretty sure smelting gold doesnt work, im trianing smith with gold ore and after 2 hours decided to get the rocks by smithing iron bars to knifes. Got them both in 10 minutes...
  21. /offtopic: good luck on updating that avatar
  22. Rawr fiasco? Whats the story behind that? :P Ive settled with Lord Beloved, in hindsight it might be too arrogant so i might change it again, ill have to see :P /Edit: o btw: someone check if "Duke Freedom" has freed up :D //edit: heard its not
  23. We know that lol, we want to know what the one in the house does :/ Get 30 more quick! :D You mean 870 more :P If completing the statue once gives you one of the 30 pieces needed for the POH replica, you need 900 total stones from skilling to complete the POH replica. I don't think it breaks the second time... 870 would be insane? Insane? having to kill 15k imps for a scroll, THATS insane! /edit: and a scroll that only earns you 160 slayer and hp constitution exp at that :P
  24. nice, go to elven lands next time though ;)
