  1. thats because f2p enemies have much lower defence tghan their p2p counterparts (= lower lvl), therefor the attack bonuses will have less effect because you will hit easier with any style anyway. Thats why the faster hitting weapons have more effect on lower leveled enemies, they hit more often. On p2p they would fail a lot more so the weapons with better attack stats will have an advantage because they hit through the defence.
  2. Imagine all equipment crashing. Now imagine all Skill materials rising so high, the average player cannot afford or get their hands on it just to get those few extra levels they've been dieing for, like 63-70 Herb, 66-70 Mining etc. Small goals, not 99's. That is the reason. How on earth would mining be affected? lol. Just get a pickaxe and start chopping at those iron ores, couldnt be simpler :P Your general idea is correct though (imo).
  3. Darn im not sure what to think of this, i thoroughly enjoyed the last bonus week, it was something special and a real community event (everyone was preparing and getting ready for the big day). There were some bad side effects as herblore and summoning being unfairly quick to train (there's been plenty good advice on this: experience cap instead of degrading multiplier, summoning double exp charm drops instead of regular charms). Anyway what mostly puts me off is that theyre thinking of doing another so soon! i would really like a bonus weekend every Christmas or any other special day (rs birthday for example) but multiple each year is overdoing it in my opinion.
  4. It's RuneScape in a petri dish. Hopefully this mini RS can be tweaked to perfection, after which Jagex can bring the same standards to the outside world. I wonder if spears are overpowered though. In F2P I see a variety of weapons, but at promethium level most melee players seem to use spears. They stated somewhere that they would not alter weapons above ground, as it would have a "significant impact" upon the game play. Yes, a postive significant impact. But I suppose I can't blame them, considering the general reaction of anything new in Runescape. I wouldn't say that Spears are overpowered. It sacrifices a signifcant amount of power in order to gain the ability to use all three of the styles. Most weapons, however, have at least two viable attack options to use, which is generally sufficent in most circumstances (there isn't any monster that resists two attack styles). Those weapons can hit higher and more accurately than the Spear can, especially in the Slash option, diminishing the spear's usefulness. The spear is still a viable option, however, and is recommended frequently to players, which may explain why so many people use it. I think they are overpowerd in the way that shields take a long time to gather, and there isn't such thing as a rune defender to boost the offence of 1-handed weapons. This makes 2handed much more desired in dungeoneering than in the "real" runescape. I personally don't bother with shields, even when I still had a rapier. Also, the str bonus of the spear is actually pretty high, you should check it, it's for instance higher than a warhammer. Actually there are defender type things in daemonheim, they are protectors and guardians ward. Although guardians ward is bugged in game atm (it gives defense stats where it should give attack stats) its actually quite good in combination with primal long (i suppose). @Dragonlordjl: But whats wrong with one weapon being used the most? Isn't it quite natural that one weapon excels others? Or do you mean that most people just melee and don't bother with magic or ranged?
  5. Why would anyone even bother to macro it? If the xp rate even hits 6k an hour (by someone above), it would take that character nearly 6 years of continuous air crafting to get 99. Even if they were using the money from that to train another skill in there, the xp rates would be even lower per hour, by far not worth doing. The only use of this method is to earn enough money to get a few items you need to get through the level, nothing more. ~Dan actually it would take 90 days of 24/7 rc'ing
  6. It's based on general shop prices, not special shops (like zimberfizz).
  7. To answer one part of your question: the value is based on the shop value of the item, so the items with the highest shop value will be saved upon death. This has been the root of many vivid discussions in the past as a whip (which was incredibly expensive) only had a shop value of 43k (if memory serves me right) and therefor almost never was saved upon death. The second part of your question i can not answer for sure, but i feel like its based on which item is first in your inventory/equipment.
  8. i agree, nothing new in the video as far as i can see
  9. There is system update right now? he probably already posted whats going to be the update ;)
  10. Yeah, I somehow got a spare ring too... Not sure how. It's pretty easy to get spare ones, I have a couple in my bank for placeholder. I dont consider this to be a (harmful) bug so im gonna show how to do it, if its not allowed by all means delete this post.
  11. remember ruby harvest? pretty sure it wont be a killable npc Ruby harvest thats it! Next week we will get Ruby Dragon....flies! A hunting hupdate that will let you catch ruby dragonflies in order to boost your dungeoneering level! I'm a genious hahaha, cant say its not a possibility :P
  12. Just noticed i added the wrong examine for Primal dagger(P++) so here it is: sorry for any inconvenience
  13. remember ruby harvest? pretty sure it wont be a killable npc
  14. gonna simplify it a bit: maybe graphics update so all surface dragons match the ones in daemonheim? not saying it is, my guess is its gonna be something completely unrelated to (ruby) dragons
  15. making GE update more often would only make merch clans get profit faster... I voted yes, they should make it illegal, but they should also look at the problems and restrictions ge always had and they apparently closed their eyes for
  16. What dropped that? I'm quite sure that pummeler drops warhammers. yes it does
  17. I have to say i agree with you on that. They had every opportunity to make dungeoneering interact with the rest of gielinor, like dungeons across the world map and boss drops that are (only) useful outside of the dungeons, unfortunately they somehow choose not to (or forgot?). I suspect they have their reasons, i just hope they are the right ones... The skill has been out for about 10 days. Who tells you that there are not a few other dungeons currently planned? you havent read yesterdays Q&A have you? try reading up before trying to be a smart [wagon] ;)

  19. Just wondering, are you saying that this concept of dungeon exploration should be not be implemented, or could have been implemented in a better way? As a skill, it's a failure. As a minigame, it's a failurew because they already have something extremely similar and do not need another like it. As a concept, it's a failure because while people keep harping on what is and what is not a skill, I think a fundamental part of a skill is that it can be integrated into the game as a whole, not just set aside in one spot. In design I think it's not particularly good. This is combined with it's execution. The whlole thing is overly confusing, the game play is clumsy at best, and it's also a hindrance to solo players because they are restricted in a number of ways. It is, in my opinion, a failure for these reasons. [/hide] Well, which minigame are we talking about....? Barbarian Assault? SC obviously...
  20. you mean 30lp right? (or im doing something wrong :P)
  21. Or if you're sweet like me, the 99 summon makes your food heal more hitpoints :) just for the record, all healing familiars do that :P and about the icefiend special: if you run a long circle around the room you wont get hit at all (but watch out for other peoples spikes if youre not soloing) by the time youve run a full circle youll be able to hit the icefiend again :)
