  1. So, PKing isn't about survival? Surely if you don't survive, you can't kill? You can't do one without the other. You survive, I kill before they kill me. Thats survival too. You enjoy your lovely lobster, coated in a slight tint of pepper, while I charge at you with my axe raised high, lunging it into your scalp. Its not that safing is bad, but you really need to understand that while you are eating you lose valuable attack turns. Pkers DO eat, but they eat at the right moment so they don't lose valuable striking time. Also if you fight against someone with a godsword, eat right when he is about to strike, this way you don't lose TOO much hp and you still keep a good amount of striking time. I'm not against safing, because usually that means you want to protect VALUABLE goods from me. But please, time your eating so you can give me a good fight too :)
  2. That has got to be one of the best vids ever! The part that made me laugh most was the one with hunting with semi-automatic weapons xD This is one heck of a runescape video. Good job. I loved the field artillery =P . Bravo
  3. .... riiiight, everyone has your opinion. Anyway, ofcourse its "dying" out, do you expect a third of runescape would be in those worlds like the first day? Ofcourse not, they were just trying it. Its not dying out, its just correcting itself to the normal values after the initial hype. Remember Hunting? Farming? Brimhaven Monster dungeun? Construction? Puro Puro? Official worlds? RFD? Or any fricking update on the block? These are normal figures, at first everyone does it, after that it dwindles down a bit.
  4. - rune items = higher price higher price = more people actually smithing the rune. Smithing profitable = Smithing revived after a 3 year long coma. I see not what your problem is with higher rune prices. There were a lot of skills that lacked the profit, like cooking/fishing sharks, herblore potions, even slayer. With the way PvP works, the former hunger for consumables is restored, granting a better economic future for everyday people like Joe the plumber. ( could not resist :P )
  5. I see you are new to this generalisation thing, I'll let you go this time. Be warned, next time you'll get it.
  6. Y'know, if you just want to train your combat stats, you can just train on earthwarriors. Its better xp and it doesn't cost you as much sharks. I think you never pked, and I am fine with that, because if you are going to eat at every 20+ hit, thats 2 more seconds you won't hit me. Oh, and on that contray, 'Calling a cooking/fletching cape bad is just a sad excuse pathetic little skillers make up so they can get you down'. I love it when pkers and skillers are so diverse :
  7. If you never pvp why do you say anything about it all than? OT: Safing is like an unwritten rule of the "real" 1vs1 pkers. The reason for this is just when they eat at say 1/2 of their health all the time it's like almost impossible for both to win. I do think this rule only apply's to "real" battles (forgive me using the word "real" all the time), which doesn't include getting specced by some 1 itemer who doesn't really want to fight anyway. But for proper 1vs1 battles no "safing" is just really the only way to go. Unwritten rule my [wagon]! Its just an excuse peole use when they are angry for loosing. Safing? There is no such thing! its called wanting to win. TBH i think people who go around calling you a safer when you eat are pathetic. Tbh if you don't safe you get situations like your topic, people just fighting till their food is down and teleporting away. No-one will win. but using a ags you can take out 3/4 of a maxed players hitpoints  Safing, because everyone and his dog has an armadyl godsword ready. <_< I don't mind people safing, but myself I would never talk during a fight. Say you are in a battle with a safing, prot praying high armoured godswordwielder, the last thing you want to do is make sure you are in an even more difficult situation by calling him names when you should eat. There is one solution, 5 people with dragonarrows + darkbow, use special on an unsuspecting person, 100% chance of instant death, no safing will ever be done \
  8. Yeah. I can see you two have a lot of creativity. *goes in to another room and bursts out in laughter* -Edit- my post got messed up I don't see why people bother about those names. Stop caring about what they are called and start caring about what they stand for.
  9. It's Biscuit Dough Hands Man! It's 1.2k xp for each magic log man :D I wish I had those gloves, I need 2.4 m xp for the adze.
  10. Either I'm reading this wrong or basically what they're saying is Summoning doesn't effect Combat in BH? I can use a Steel Titan and be Level 112 (not 124) in BH? Yes. Summoning no longer effects combat in BH, since you cannot use summon in BH anyways. It makes more sense this way, since its not a level available to you to use inside BH. Sweet I'm back in middle crater, purchase an AGS and the vids will start rolling in... I think lol. Except you forget one vital clue. Once you have a summoning pouch in your inventory near bounty hunter, your combat automatically gets changed to the summoning combat lvl. So no, that middle crater won't allow you coming back in. Except ofcourse that you don't plan on using summons, if thats the case, go bash the people in medium all you want ^^
  11. The fish market stagnated without PKing, now it's going to boom. Just wait for production to catch up with demand. FISH.... FASTER \ . And to the people saying that I should buy my dd's from a store, well I could. OR I could get it from the G-E while whining about it :D
  12. I litteraly detest the GE right now Try buying some sharks or dragon daggers to pk with, you will probably see your offer returned in the next week or so <_< *rages onward, while getting killed because of monkfish being my main food now*
  13. I foresee a major nerf to the drop rates in the near future. With the current system, RWTs just bot their way to a level 120+ character, then people pay them like $5 for 10 kills or something, with both people going to a place like Lletya. well I think you have to have a certain amount of money on you when you die in order for your opponent to recieve a decent drop. The way I was thinking is that say you and you're friend 1 item with a AGS and turn on protection prayer to keep the AGS, however you have more than 80k worth of value on you so your opponent still gets a drop but you lose nothing. Protected items don't count towards the 80k according to jagex.
  14. Besides, mage on its own has been the underdog for a very very long time, it was time for some new spell.
  15. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=dkAofdaZqfE <--- [Edit - Vid is no longer available] A vid from the new barrage spell. Hope this clears some stuff up.
  16. Actually I wouldn't be against that. I would agree that if you're in the top five for a skill, you probably know pretty damn well how to train that skill. Every level from 1-99 brings new knowledge, most/some of the time. From 13m-200m xp, you learn nothing. That my friend is simply not true. Yes, you learn new ways to utilize until 99, after it you learn to perfect it. I'm all for viewing rights and all that, but seriously, just have a small group of elite players post the good suggestions there, maybe have a poll on them so the viewing players can vote if it is a good idea or not.
  17. Saradomin obviously lost a bet with Zamorak and is forced to be Zaros' roommate for the coming years. YOU try to redecorate when your roommate is Destruction itself. Not to speak about when he's been drinking, guy landed right on the [bleep]e of a metal fence. Which by some strange coincidence turned out to be Armadyl's. Zamorak just got Zaros' possesions and continiued his drunken rampage. He went a bit too far when Sara and him were dancing the limbo in Guthix' lawn though. Since then, no god has every danced the limbo again. I reject your written history and write my own.
  18. You will beat the pure, but you won't kill him. Prayer vs prayer does nothing but drag the fight out forever, ultimately wasting both of the fighter's supplies until one gets low enough they just run 6 steps to safety. That's the real reason PKers hate prayer. It isn't an advantage for EITHER party, since the entire reason both of you are out there, to kill for loot, is just about raped by prayer. Instead of the best player getting a ko and some [cabbage], the best player slowly wears the other guy out then watches his target run to safety. That's what I don't get about non-pkers that think they're being smart by using prayer when pking. They aren't being smart; they're shooting themselves in the foot and wasting their money while doing it. Sure, you may never die, but neither will the other guy. And seriously, everybody uses stat bonus prayers. They aren't talking about piety or ultimate strength when they complain about prayer, so don't even go there. dude you are assuming the 2 players have the SAME prayer level, praying the SAME prayers, have the SAME prayer bonus and drink the SAME number of prayer potions in the fight...i've already explained this in my previous posts above this one (if you scroll up you can see it)... and by your logic then we should all remove our armour since it "drags" the fight on...and maybe all of us should stop training def and become pures too since it "drags" the fight on...woo hoo what wonderful words of advise... Umm... what? Sorry, he just explained it very nicely, and you crack down on that? *puts on prayer of don't care* Go back to fletching dear person, for thee are not wanted in a place where thou are an outcast.
  19. Basically like a Wallie card for Americans. This'll do well for their income, since kids dont have to use their dads creditcard anymore, instead they just buy it from the local toystore.
  20. No, this does not mean that. Instead, it means that you rotate your view, kinda like tilting your head, only with a button.
  21. With sword in hand I ride my bunyip, in the distance the enemy's armour shines in my eyes. As I charge onto the legion, my friend trips over a branch. Mud I ate, hearing thundering roars nearer and nearer. I pray to the gods as I get trampled by a thousand feet. Then I realise that I'm not supposed to be here, and I walk off towards real life. Sorry guys, can't come. Here's a heads up though *holds my glorious pint up high in the air* Beer for those who live, dirt for those who die!
  22. Um... not exactly, you see, if you use an combat familiar, you are keen on dishing out damage to the other instead of tanking with prayer. Whatever kills my opponent faster will be inhereted in my tactics. If gives me an edge above another player I will use it. You see, its not that protection prayers are bad, it is just that using smite+piety/chivalry is so much better damage wise. Anyone who protect prayers in a 1v1 fight clearly is scared to death about losing their precious armour, and hence isn't worth my or anyones time.
