  1. You have 3.8m cabbages... you have to show me this. Add me ingame lol Actually, Blackbane has the cabbages, which is about 3.6 or 3.7 now, and since of the trade restrictions, we cannot effectivly give him a lot of cabbage anymore. Thus we have to give them to the next highest in rank. So now not only one person has a lot of cabbage, but quite a few.
  2. I think they should have made the Item lending feature available to your Friends. Meaning that you can only lend items to people on your friend list. This would certainly cut down on the beggars. Its rather realistic, since why would you lend an item to a complete stranger? Surely you would only want to do that if you got some kind of currency or item in return. I see why some people think this is unfair, lending an item to a friend should be free, I dont see you charging friends for borrowing your cycle to go to the hospital. Last but not least, plug your ears with banana's when the noobs are talking. This way any physical or mental damage from utter nonsence is prevented. Please do not push those banana's in too deep though, you might damage your ear.
  3. I with dismay I have to see the not yet sunken kingdom of Tutorial island drift away. Yet this new tutorial is really awesome. Ive tried it and I can safely say that I enjoyed it way more then the old tutorial island. Jagex might make it a tough life for higher leveled players, but they sure know how to cater to the new players :
  4. Ha ha... finally, our evil plan can be set in motion. Now it is time to devour all of the non believers into the black hole! Cabalution! *sets fire to a potato patch* By the way, would anyone be up for some massive teleport party to make one massive cabbage patch in, say, the desert?
  5. Sure, if you want to play a game which has no staking in it. If you want to make marginall amounts of gp in hours and hours compared to staking, If you feel you owe this game so much because you broke a rule.
  6. Firemaking has been a useless skill from the moment it was introduced. Why do you think that after 6 or more years they will suddenly make a great use for it? Sure, there is shadeburning, but it obviously isnt usefull enough for people to stop slaying and do that all day. Firemaking with a use is a myth.
  7. -.- I have seen an atari at my local gameshop for sale, I could buy it for you so you can play pacman and tetris. Then again I hope you don't really seriously mean that games with better graphics automatically lack gameplay more then graphically disabled games.
  8. .Very true, but still, $12 is nothing to wet your pants over. For a game it is, 1 year of wow is $144.00. That is more then a week of food.. Hey, if the game is so good that you play one full year, you ought to thank them with that kind of money. And you compare it to one week of food, its not like you need to buy a year suscription and then starve to death because you're out of money. 12 bucks a month is not much, its just more then RS charges. You would probably earn that kind of money if you live in the big city and beg other people at the trainstation for some change in about an hour or two.
  9. I can imagine seeing the ingame startup screen: Buy the new real life dragon kite! Everybody does it! Now that would be a good April fools
  10. Guthix would nuke the place before a clear winner was seen, just like in AvP R... *sigh*... I hate open endings.
  11. But rogue's ARE cheap  . You played for 30 minutes and you quit because of other people telling you that some classes are annoying to fight against? Btw I think you weren't there during the dec 10 updates. I've never seen so much complaints at any given time in my whole life. Final words, Warlocks rule the world. \
  12. You are asking us to think about getting our own resources because its good for the economy? I could outright burn this so bad that I would have been banned straight away, but I will keep it simple. If you play this game as a person who does not work for jagex, why would you change your playstyle just because it will effect the economy positively? I say just play the game like you want to, not because you have to. Its simply not going to change anything, even if there are one hundred players who will do this, it will have next to zero dot zero effect on the millions of players or the economy. If players make the game go broke because they have fun, you let them have that fun and watch the inevitable happen.
  13. I have played Rs for a long time, I did indeed love the freedom it gave, you had the ability to go to the wilderniss to make some peoples lives miserable. Or you chose to level your skills. Then they took away all the fun bits, and now all you can do is grind away at skills in my opinion. If you like skilling and most of your friends play, sure, keep on playing. I have been playing wow for about a month or two now, I do love the PvP element more. You can say all you want, but WoW's combat system is WAY more advanced than RS' has ever been. Surely there is no loot from your kill, but thats fine since that has always been that way in WoW. I like the instances, something that really requires a group. I like the battlegrounds, you smack a spasming rogue down with your friends and tell me you don't like it :P . You can't train all skills at the same time, but you're busy with quests anyway. The way of training in WoW is to gain good experience from quests, the way you gain experience in Rs is to grind away at monsters, or you train slayer, which is simular to slay quests in WoW. It takes too long to max on RS, you can say all you want, but if you train 5 years just to get all skills to 99, training the most efficient way and not having fun all the time, or you train a WoW character to 70 in three months, doing instances and battlegrounds along the way, doing quests instead of making the same thing over and over, you can safely say that WoW in that aspect is better. Also, Blizzard hasn't managed to screw me over during my stay, which kind of feels good, considering all the beatings I got from Jagex. I might never come back to RS, simply because I don't like what it has become. Sure WoW might become boring after another 4 months or so, but Im in college anyway so I'll have to manage time more on real life then on gaming. To all the Runescape players, keep playing your game. To all the WoW players, keep playing yours. Have fun, criticize eachother every month or two. Runescape has its good sides, and WoW has its good sides. You can compare both games, but its clear that WoW completely blasts Runescape out of the water on its elements, and Runescape shoves WoW off a cliff with their good elements.
  14. To everyone thinking that Jagex took all of the bank suggestions from tip.it... . There are dozens of people who have suggested these things. It seems more likely that they took it from the rsof. Nonetheless, its a good update no matter how you look at it. Took them some time too, and now you can finally say Runescape was first with something before WoW  . Will miss tutorial island, good times, good times... Wildy quest seems good too. Will probably look forward to august more since prehaps they will have the pvp updates ready by then.
  15. Trailer was good. Now they need to get back to work on important stuff.
  16. Next time on Deadliest catch, we will wander around uselessly on the Bering sea. Jonathan: Screw kingcrab, we've got sailing 99! There's an Iceberg right ahead sir! "Don't worry, Ive got a high enough sailing skill to bypass that" I think we will need a bigger boat "Already done, stop being so slow, that shark is mine!" You go ahead and make your usefull fires on the ground, while I pound my useless frigate into the oceans. Hyjacking peoples sailing boats, and drowning them relentlessly, YI HAW!! No seriously, to all the people that can't see sailing become a fun skill, look beyond the box, into the big big outdoors. Seriously, the horizon is the limit! Anything could be more usefull then planting fires on the ground, smashing your pickaxe on a rock, or slashing through a willow tree. And to all those other ranters claiming that Jagex can't think of any better skills. Go ahead and make my day, post some of your idea's. Ill be waiting.
  17. One... Two... :P Very nice find. Lets put some of those randomly together. Anyone left, please help, Family slowly killing me and beast. Beast can hear agony out there. Death is devouring soul, devouring life. Killing stops, Need help, please help. All pain away. Not very helpfull. Oh well
  18. Obviously gandalf was the first ever on this planet to ever even think about stomping his staff on the ground. Might be a refference, but it definitly isnt a very strong one.
  19. Some of the textures on metal... are kind of misplaced. It reminds me of Also, textures on the zammy boss... no comment >_> Seems to me like they just put ground texture on a lot of stuff.
  20. I just wanted to say that this is one of the best discussions I have seen in a long time on these forums. That aside, I think buying skills these days is the norm. Getting cash then spending it on skills is the only thing that I see. I don't see why you would risk it on bounty hunter, since the risk is higher then the reward. Staking is out of the question, and after you get a godsword there is little that you can't buy. What else can you do with all the excess money?
  21. Can you explain why Farming, Prayer , and Woodcutting need to be updated? Seriously, Farming is one of the best true moneymakers left in the game IF you don't grow trees and grow herbs for major profit. Well, if you insist. From 70 prayer until 99 prayer ( a massive 12 million xp gap ) There is nothing new to get, sure it is a combat skill, and hey, higher prayer does help more then a low prayer level. But that's a reward that for me is just not worth it to train an extra 12 m xp over. Woodcutting, good ol woodcutting. The training method has been the same since years, except the location has changed a tad. The best way to make money of them is by getting lucky with seeds or doing magics, which is tedious and slow. Farming, well fine, farming is, infact, a fair way to make money. You got me there, but since I'm already ranting I might aswell finish. Crafting, you have got the fury amulet, and you have got the bolt tips. Black dragonhide has already flooded the market, because of the treasure trails. Mining, the best thing to mine is rune, the best pickaxe to use is rune. This has been like this since 2005. It would be a miracle if this one wasn't obsolete, seriously. Smithing, best thing to smith is rune. And since most of the rune comes from treasure trials easily accesable for everyone, this becomes rather obsolete too. The only reason I personally see is to be able to save a million gp or so on assembling a godsword. Or runite bolts. Firemaking.... Hunter, no more real benefit now that MM has been nerfed. Has always relied on one product. Fletching, the best thing to make is dragon darts. How many of you guys actually use dragon darts or arrows? Definitly needs some new things to make. Agility, other then the run energy benefit, which I can easily get with a terrorbird special, I don't see any use for training. Maybe saving 3 seconds on my way through the slayer cave. Thieving. Brilliant training method. No real benefit other then the gem stall at the ardougne market. I loved that thieving was a good way of getting summoning charms, but since its probably unethical to make a skill usefull. Jagex in all their grace nerfed it. Fishing, we did get monkfish. Good fish for training. Then comes our australian myth, the bunyip, walking into the facility and takes away the use for these. Definitly needs upgrading. Cooking, you can cook sharks, congratulations. Do you want to buy the raw sharks and cook them, losing money. Or do you want to buy a batch of the OVER NINETHOUSAAAND sharks available in the GE since nobody seems to be using them much. Surely, you can keep these skills the way they are for the nostalgic value. But I bet nobody would whine if some of these skills got some viable, reasonable, and good updates to them.
  22. The reason that the only output product of the skill was red chins is the downfall of hunter. Yes, I have gotten 99 hunter for the ranged training, it was fun while it lasted, good xp, you lived life on the black edge. Had a chit chat with the ocassional other hunters around. Fought for your spots. Then you had to get 13 million gp for the prayer potions. Thats a shedload of money for me at that time. Then I started training ranged at monkeys, I litterally laughed for a full 15 minutes, the xp was IN SANE. Now that they are nerfed, hunter is dead, and rangers will have to settle with 100k xp per hour. I'm a proud hunter, and I knew all along that this skill was doomed. Seriously there is no real benefit from hunter, except for the chins and dragon arrows. Sure there are those new furballs that roam the elven lands, but I don't see a lot of people training there. Hunter, Smithing, Mining, Crafting, Herblore, Farming, Prayer, Woodcutting, Firemaking... All of these skills need updating to ensure they are not left behind in the dust. These are pretty much skills of the past. All of these are obsolete moneymaking skills.
  23. Can't say I do, I played for gameplay, not for the still cheesy graphics.
  24. Please kick yourself in the shins. The graphics are amazing. You sir aren't loyal to RS. Why be loyal to a game if it grants you no more fun. And these graphics aren't 'amazing', they are just less crappy then they were before. I could name over NINETHOUSAAAAND games who have better graphics then rs has right now. You can come with the argument "but its Java", exactly, it is java. And java graphics tend to stink, they have the best java graphics there are, and they still don't match up with most graphics out there. It is an improvement, but I don't find these graphics 'amazing'. Commence your flaming if you want, this is my opinion.
  25. I would prefer to make the Alien from the Alien series over those runescape creatures, but ok. Spore will definitly rock :
