  1. Sorry man, this is kind of a bad guide. You give basic strategy, which pretty much everyone knows of. -There are some massive gaps in your sentences. I mean, does there really need to be half a page between the last two sentences? -You purpose a "good looking outfit", for what? To waste inventory space or to impress them into thinking you are a skiller. Because personally I just see it as a waste of energy and space. -I could act like the big spelling police, but I won't. Seeing as someone else will do that job for me probably. -Lack of paragraphs, no organization, and lacks good info and tactics. Improve away :
  2. That person would really need to stink BAD in order to continiue Jagex' continious legacy of fail. Therefore, I forsee a great future for Runescape. I understand why Andrew wants to have someone else in charge, afterall he started as a gamedesigner. He never wanted to be a manager, but since Runescape became so popular he had to, now he can go back to do what he does best. Design games.
  3. I has controversial comparrison, is from before TzHaar to frog mutilation. Consider this thing below. TzHaar: Perhaps the biggest reference ever? Or Chaosvuistje: The biggest nutcase ever to log in on Tip.it Forums? --Warning, very long read.-- --Warning #2, lots of pictures --Warning #3, big speculation thread, those without imagination should be wary --Warning #4, lots of spoilers on the movies Aliens vs Predator, and Aliens vs Predator 2 Ive done some research on TzHaar and Predators before, twice, TvP, TvP2. Now, with the upcoming updates to TzHaar, Im back to lunge at the booze and try to make this article even more convincing (or at least entertaining :P ) Ive tried to use less vague pictures in this topic then my previous one. I hope they will suffice. First up, a tiny introduction about the two races. TzHaar, from Runescape - Habitat: Jungle, Deep under Karamja volcano. - Lifestyle: Fighting and hunting - Highest priority: Honour, Predator, or Yautja, From the Alien/Predator/AvP series. - Habitat: Jungle, temple built deep under Antartica - Lifestyle: Fighting and hunting - Highest priority: Honour. Now, onto comparing stuff. [hide=Minigames]Fight Pits. A sport among the TzHaar and Humans where they kill each other for TokKul and fun. Viewing orbs and Viewing device comparing: In the movie AVP, the Predator used this device to see if there were any enemies in the temple. In Runescape, they are used to look at fights and spot enemies. Also, the fight pits end in the same way as the Predators in AvP1 did. By getting overwhelmed with monsters and dying because of them. Fight Caves. This resembles the first hunt a predator must pass in order to be accepted into the Predator culture. When you kill the Jad, you will do a cheer emote. This might be a spoof to where a predator survived his trial. In fact, Predators often show off their prized kills by holding them up high in the air.[/hide] [hide=Tzhaar Npcs.]TzHaar-Xil, the agile hunter. Both using the rings as the TzHaar swords and knives. You might have notices the TzHaar-Xil go up into their environment very well, Theyre nearly unspottable, but still seeable. Predators have a cloaking device, they can cloak most of their body, but you can still see them, like the TzHaar-Xil. They use their rings both ranged-wise and melee-wise. Like the shuriken in the first AvP movie. Used both to shred through an alien head melee wise, and against the Queen ranged-wise. The highest ranked TzHaar are the TzHaar-Mej, They watch over the pits and the caves, and guide the TzHaar. Something similar in rank would be an Elder predator, which has done many fights and hunts. And is considered an expert at leading. TzHaar-Mej use a two handed staff. And they use them with both magic and melee. Strange that some Npc uses one weapon for two combat techniques. And there arent that much two-handed staffs around. The favourite weapon choice of a skilled Predator is the staff/spear, since it can do serious damage. Their magic attack is a massive blast of heat from far away distance, and a less big heat blast if nearby. Pretty much like a plasma caster, which Predators often charge if prey is far away. TzHaar-Ket are the big guardians. The ones wearing the most armour and the ones with the most strength. They are like the predators in AvP1. Which are all heavily armed, more so then most other predators, who only use a small amount of armour. Tz-Kih are the only flying TzHaar creatures. They could be compared to facehuggers, the only flying Alien( leaping, flying.. whatever floats your boat. ). In the fight caves guide, they are advised to be killed first. Pretty much like the Facehuggers. Since once they hit you, its game over. Tz-Kek, the clump of lava. Once you hit these with melee, you are bound to get hurt, like alien blood. The Acids in alien blood are able to burn through any organic matter and some metals. Also, once you kill one, two other small ones burst from the dead carcass. Chestburster anyone? Tok-Xil, this big guy has a powerful dart attack. The only reference I could find in him was that the darts look similar to the shot-gun like spear gun, which fires multiple darts at prey. Ket-Zek, the big frog with a charmander tail. Seriously shouldve gotten a more fearsome look <_<. Opinions aside. Ket-Zek use their tail to throw fire at you. Raise your hand if you think this is a reference to the alien who had his tail cut and used it to fling its acid blood at the Predator. *raises hand* Yt-Hurkot, the guys who help the big daddy out of trouble when going gets tough. These guys heal the Jad in a group after he is down to half HP. In AvP1, the tied Queen cries out for help, and other aliens sprint towards her. They free her from the chains she was tied in and Queen was good to go to mess up the Predators who did this to her. When they heal a light comes from above, like the light the last-standing Predator was in AvP1. TzTok-Jad, the creature that showed me whos boss 13 times. Make no mistake, this is the strongest and biggest TzHaar creature there is. The most prized for any TzHaar to kill. If you look at its design youd think you would be claimed a madman for comparing it to the Alien Queen. Im willing to try just that though. Not only is the Alien Queen the strongest and biggest Alien around, and obviously the most prized to kill for any Predator, it has some similar features to the Jad. Like his Melee attack, it pounces its head at you, just like the Queen did towards a water tank in AvP1. Both the Jad and the Queen have 3 [bleep]es on either side of their back. The Jad dies in pretty much the same way as the Queen did in AvP1, where if falls down, grasps the ground, bites one more time and splashes down in the water. Now if you swap splash of water with a splash of fire, youve got the same death sequence. Obsidian golem, an upcoming summoning creature. Ive tried hard to look for a reference here, since it does not lie in the looks of the creature itself, but the fusion of two others. Consider the picture below. Compared to. Oh yes, in my view, the PredAlien reference is coming to Runescape. And it better be powerful alright :P[/hide] [hide=Weapons and Armour.]The TzHaar and Predator have very simular equipment. A two handed staff: A knife: A throwing ring/disk: And both of their primary weapons, the sword for the TzHaar and wristblades for the Predator, have two very long blades. The colour of the TzHaar sword varies from most of the other weaponry. It being grey/metallic and the others more red/black. The fury amulet has a red light emitting from it. No other obsidian jewelry has this. And it is used to maximize the accuracy from your attack. Quite similar to the laser emitter on the Predators helmet. Which tracks prey down automatically. The berserker necklace has beads similar to the skulls on a Predators necklace. The more skulls on a Predators necklace, the more experienced he is with his weaponry. Hence why the Berserker necklace boosts the effectiveness of TzHaar weaponry. The ring of stone requires a bit of depth. When a TzHaar dies, he solidifies, in other words, he turns to stone. The Self-destruct mechanism on the Predators is in that way similar to the TzHaars Ring of stone. As it both kills the owner. The fire cape, worn by the best of the best, the mightiest of the mightiest. Strangely enough the only predator ever seen with a cape was an Elderpredator, which is the mightiest, and it was red. The Bracelet of Regeneration makes sure you have double the amount of hp healed compared to normal conditions. Incased in a Predators bracelet are medkits, which make wounds heal much faster.[/hide] [hide=Samuel Scourduel Part II references.] Probably a reference to the way Predators treated the Mayans, as cattle. Predators can use the language of humans too, although it isnt perfect english, often mixing both their languages and English when talking to humans. Reference to the steam/gas vents in the predator ships. they know nothing of crime, honour stands above all other virtues. Do I really need to explain that this is exactly like the Predators? Grand hall, like this? [/hide] [hide=Random references, not able to place them in any Category]TzHaar death, They fall to their knees and their arm rest on one of their knees. Could be compared to a Predator setting off their self-destruct mechanism TzHaar death > This picture can be compared to the cloaking device malfunctioning. The egg chamber, a massive nest, currently closed off to all Non-TzHaar. Perhaps the breeding place for future summoning pets. Let hope these dont lunge towards you and impregnate you with icky creatures. TokKul, the coins for the TzHaar, are made of their ancestors or kills. They symbolize honour, like skulls Predators collect to gain honour.[/hide] This is by far the most researched reason on the subject: what TzHaar are, that Ive seen. Mainly because there werent that much researches. Some big ones like the topic of the meaning of TzHaar words deserve my respect as they have researched very well. Obviously I waited a long time to post this, since there are a lot of TzHaar updates in near future, it is time to put this theory to the test. Now, what this topic is about, is what if this is true, what if TzHaar are indeed a reference to the Yautja, what updates could we expect? F.A.Q Do you have a life? No Is there any reason for making this topic? Lack of interesting topics :P Your looking into this way too much! I decide how I play a game and how I waste my time thank you Why would Jagex ever make a huge species like the TzHaar a reference to a movie? Because they can, and there were no obvious races left, like the lizardmen and the orcs. So please, dont resort to these kind of replies. Ive seen enough of that. ©TzHaar belongs to Jagex Ltd. Aliens versus Predator to Twentieth century fox©
  4. DDS special x2, about 30-30 30-30, times 4 for each special bar, an ice blitz (22) and some poison(5), throw in the special of the steel titan (I've heard about 70?). And you have the ability to one hit a godwars boss. Now you tell me that aint overkill  . Dual wielding is a really good idea, and has been implented in many other games. But if Jagex wants to make something even stronger these days, they will really need to fiddle around with defence and hitpoints. Oh and another thing, if the items both have the same stats, 2 of those items would double those stats, so now you have doubled the stats, hence hitting twice as hard, and twice as fast. Making it the equivalant of 4 times that weapon. That would be a rather nasty coding Jagex would have to be doing. Simply having to rewrite a lot of codes, and the fact that it would make us too strong gets me to the conclusion that Jagex simply won't ever even try.
  5. This will mean more people will buy higher specced computers, those use more electricity! Meaning more work for the Powerplants, meaning more CO2! Its only a matter of time until Runescape will be the next mayor Cause of the global warming. ^this makes about as much sence as your topic does. Its very easy, work to get some moneys and buy something better then the rock from a decade ago. Or play on low detail and whine about how your computer isnt good. Seriously, computers who fail to run Runescape is about as low as you get. Thats ROCK bottom. If you want to keep up with modern day computers you will have to buy new parts of it every few years or so.
  6. Now then, I know a couple of clans who have over 100 members who do swear a tad. These are not low class clans, if anything, someone who reports a clanmate or a friend for offensive language is being low. Theres a long walk between following the rules, and ethics. Its not the government who is there to talk when you need to talk, its not the government who is there to buy you a hamburger because you lost your wallet. Its not the government who cheers you up after you've been beat up. Friends should not be reported to authority's for minor rulebreaking, I doubt you would go to the police saying your friend's bicycle light broke down. And if you do you would be quite a lonely person, since noone would want to be friends with you anymore :P Now if clanmates or friends harm someone, and its just a bit too rough, you ask them to stop. If they don't, report them. The clan who kicked this person is right, the guy should quit being such an authority lover and get some ethics.
  7. Weve already established that the right kind of attention doesnt work either. There are people who are trying to get through to JagEx intelligently, yet fail because it gets swamped by all the other posts in the RSOF. If the people of a country are all on strike because the taxes are too high, you as a government don't throw those comments away simply because there are made immaturely. Its a given fact that the mayority of the people arent bright enough to make a statement intelligently, but if they do want to make a statement, you shouldn't ignore them. You listen to them. Even though the Riots don't make any change, they should bring the matter under the attention of Jagex. Until Jagex finally pulls those MP3 players aside and actually start listening that is. Now I do know that they are giving us a big free for all arena, but didnt they promise us that in the first half of the year? For all I know is that these updates will happen after that first half of the year. It might be in July, It might be in August. Final words, Im glad I left Runescape because of the boredome of the current state. If a company is doing these things to its costumerbase then I don't want to be part of the costumer base. Sorry for every reader of this post that this has turned into a PvP based rant, its pretty much all I think about when I hear Runescape <_<
  8. What's wrong with buying skills? It's not like their money appeared out of thin air Or did it? How many people do you think still have ill begotten gains? I would dare say quite a few. Somebody tell me what an ill begotten gain is haha People who lured. I am sure there are still some active accounts that bought there gold. I am also sure that there are people who plain bought their accounts. Ofcourse, but come on. After these updates most of the big money makers quit the game ( I assume <_> ). Besides, how can you scam people now? How can you buy GP for rl cash now? How can you even lure, or stake for that matter? NOT Thats right, there is no real way of getting illgotten goods. And thus people who have lots of money should be entitled to a great xp per hour ratio. Poor people should not be kept aside of this skill. And wealthy players should not have to train this inmensly slow.
  9. Pretty darn neat. Even though I doubt you would be able to make money out of this skill allot, it is atleast decreased in cost.
  10. So basically like Achievement diary's and the early magic/prayer. I support.
  11. Oh yes, I do know that an aditional 18 hp with aid of melee or range is devastating, however you can make a creature, The Karamhulhu (fhtagn) Overlord at level 54 or so, wich hits 16 already. Now to train weeks on an end to finally get to hit 19 is a bit not worth it. But thats a matter of opinion. I do know there are certain ability's wich are really usefull. Like the Macaw ability, seeing in the distance. Most awesome ability of all being the regrowth of Hydra. I can now make a cabbage appear out of nowhere if im lucky =P~ . Those ability's are pretty darn sweet. But the time it takes to unlock these is rather long. Maybe they will come out with a summoning "gilded" Altar. Or Priffidas makes those shards easier to get and cheaper. The common known fact is that summoning currently is a rather lame skill to train. And after all those weeks of waiting for summoning I atleast expect a reasonable way to train, I don't want to wait another whole month  . Don't get me wrong, Summoning is a great concept. But poorly executed. It has the ability to be so much more then what it is now.
  12. You are about as hard to convince as a religion believer you know that? Why did that happen? Because its written. Why did Jagex make this skill so overly complicated, too expensive, too slow and a waste of time? Who cares, stop complaining. I'm done now, but nowhere near stopping to rant about summoning let me tell you.
  13. those benefits are most certainly not "really small". Well then, list the usefull benefits and the effort to finally get to that level, and see if they are really worth it Either use the fishing colony or put your house in taverly and teleport Granted, even though teleporting takes even more money, Near banks point is busted then You can renew him many times. Yes, but you need to recharge your summoning at a far away altar when it runs out, and it will run out. Sure you could go to to Taverly every time to recharge it, but do you really want to do that every single time? Atleast with prayer there are altar's all around. Incorrect, you can summon wherever you'd like but the familiars can only fight in multicombat, which makes sense. Well, that makes sence, didn't know that : The basic ones start off around lvl 20 or so, that sounds perfectly reasonable, and then eventually they are over lvl 100. Let's wait till people start using the minotaurs who's special attack can hit pretty good. Strange, your combat stats are great, yet you think hitting 19 is a great special attack. Have you trained in f2p all that time or what?. Hitting 19 is not allot, infact if there is a lvl 90 bloke walking besides me and I would ask him to hit 19 RIGHT NOW on that guard, he would probably hit 21.
  14. Even if I was a rich bucket of lard wich changes his golden underpants every so many minutes, I wouldn't waste my time on this rediculously slow to train skill. Personally, I have NO problem with extremely gp wasting methods of training, infact, I endorse them. HOWEVER, You are paying your well earned 200m + gp on a skill wich trains SLOWER then runecrafting, and is just as tedious, without any possible way of making huge money, or lots of usefull things. So basically, you are paying your very hard earned cash on grinding wich won't get you nowhere, well maybe 99 summoning after a year and a half or so. Rich people deserve to train a skill the fast way, and poor people deserve the medicore to slow way. However, only the rich can train it now, and I doubt any of them really has the attention span or the lack of braincells to actually train this baby to 99.
  15. Pro's -The graphics are sweet, there is no denying in that. -Granted you have a high summoning level, you can do some quite usefull stuff. Neg's -The skill at the moment is slower to train then runecrafting. -It is one of the most repetive tasks on runescape to train it. -It costs more then construction, when it costs this much you would expect it to be atleast a reasonably fast skill. -The prices of all the summon items are quite off. -The benefits are really small and not all that good unless you have a really high summoning level. -The obelisks are way out of reach of most banks. -The charms are a pain to get, ifnot the seconds are. Dropping mostly 1 at a time. -Your summoned creature can only stay alive for so long before it disappears. -No real way of making money out of this skill. -You can only summon the creatures in multicombat. -In fighting they don't give much of a punch, might aswell ask a random lvl 80 to team up with you. Thats all
  16. I hope you forgot your sarcasm tags. Please  . Don't get me wrong, I mean Im all for a slow and hard skill. This however is just TOO slow, runecrafting and slayer being a slow skill too, are rather good for moneymaking. Summoning however...
  17. Summoning IS a non buyable, wich costs 210 million gp, to get like what, 5k xp an hour. Once you get 99 summoning after 2 months of extreme nolifing 24/7 ( If you are still alive ) , you get an awesome ability to summon a monster wich hits... Can I get a drum roll? Is it too much to ask for a drum roll? 19. I could just ask a level 80 to team up with me instead of wasting my life training this extremely tedious, not rewarding skill.
  18. I wouldn't whine if the expensive stuff was fast xp. Unfortunally it would probably take 2 months of 24/7 nolifing to get 99 summoning, not to mention the getting of the money. And no way of really getting it back, or get anything reaaaally usefull. I fail to see your point.
  19. I love the corner near the minimap, HP, Prayer, Summoning and Run bar. I dislike the logout button ( because I keep clicking the clan chat >_< ) and I dislike the stats. But I find the fact that there are bars near the minimap good enough to make this a satisfactory update.
  20. So basically we've got A slow skill to train, compareable to runecrafting or less. An expensive skill, wich dwarfs construction. A tedious and long skill, simular to fletching before the X Fletch option. A few ability's to help your gameplay minutely. Like Hunter. Where are the good points again?
  21. Who is actually going to sell those pouches at 225 gp  . No supply, thus no market. If people were the ones who would sell them for their, it would be atleast 1k. Ifnot higher if demand lets it to rise. And Qeltar as a costumer has the right to complain. And suggest to help the company make a better product.
  22. Ranting abut "attitude" will never get the money-makers to even sneeze. Are you that s....? Not im not mentally delayed if thats what you wanted to say. Do you think that a person that just goes ranting about their low price to go even lower makes those money makers sneeze? Do you think that one cheap person wants the price to go down because he thinks the quality of the game has gotten lower? Do you think that you need to play this game for your price? Answered yes to all these questions? Good, your advice is to quit whining or to quit Runescape. If you have any questions left then I will most certainly answer them for you.
  23. Then rant about their Attitude towards players instead of their price.
