Training magic?
Well, that really depends on how you define "Best" IMHO, the best spots are multi-combat so that you (almost) always have a target available for fast training.

Training magic?
That depends on what you mean by "best" Do you mean Fastest, or Cheapest, or least Clicking, or best Drops, or Safest, or ...? Also, it depends on your money in the bank, Rune Crafting level, desire to get HP exp or not, etc. Generally speaking, -- higher level spells give more exp but can be very expensive. -- lower level spells give less exp but give more exp per gp spent on them. For F2P, Failed Curses is a very effective way to raise magic. You get about 1 magic exp for every 1 gp that you spend. Or, just make your own runes for no gp cost at all. Hope this helps

Why does melee depends on 2 stats for damage?
Kinda off topic, but a "pureish" Ranger or Mage can only reach combat level 109. Having Strength and Attack at 99 allows you to reach 126

Fastest way to get att/str/def exp for f2p??
No, those monsters are what you fight for loot, not fast exp. Yes, there are some good ones for speed in the first 2 levels. Train on fast spawning, crowded, lower level monsters. You can kill almost non-stop without having to stop for food. Remember, you earn exp as HitDone*4 The level of the monster doesn't really matter. Hope this helps

Just wondering.. Has any1 ever done DS without anti-shield?
Yes, about 2 years ago...

Just wondering.. Has any1 ever done DS without anti-shield?
IIRC, your prayer points are drained when you enter Elvarg's room. Hence, the protect prayer won't work... Also, free players can't use antifire potions. So, for them, it's not quite so easy...

Just wondering.. Has any1 ever done DS without anti-shield?
I suppose it's in the same train of thought as, "What's the lowest level to ever defeat Elvarg?" When you're bored of RS, figuring out these sorts of "impossible" things can be more fun then grinding out another 5000 steel bars...

where to mine addy ore efficiently
Look here Wildy Hobgoblin mine has a lot. I usually just go for the 3 in the Dwarven mines and then world hop. Or, try the 2 in the Al-Kharid scorp mine and world hop. Or, try the 2 in the Lumby west mine and world hop. Hope this helps

36k curses
The best place is, IMHO, any safe multi-combat spot. A multi-combat spot allows you to (almost) always have a target, so you can be casting almost non-stop for max leveling efficiency. In F2P, some multi-combat spots include the caged demon at the top of the wizzy tower, Fally white knight castle, and the Varrock sewers. I always liked casting from the key room in the Varrock sewers across the water at the 4 zombies in the ladder room. You could also try the Port Sarim jail and river ducks. Just make sure that your magic attack stat is -65 or worse to be able to re-use the same monster. 36k Curses will earn you a little over 1 million in magic exp. If you use a staff (you should) then, IIRC, you could split that exp with Def if you have your staff set that way. Hope this helps

Where Is The Best Place For EXP???
Hmmm, you earn Range exp as HitDonex4. So, most players prefer to use an available higher HP monster that has a safe spot and allows easy arrow gathering. I suggest the first level of the SoS Many monsters down there drop arrows. You should be able to find a safe spot to shoot from. You could try the minotaurs. I suggest that you cast a Curse on the monster first to pull it over to your safe spot. That way, you can get most of your arrows back since they will be in the monster's loot pile. Hope this helps

Magic
Failed Curses The cost is zero gp (only time) if you make your own runes. Otherwise, it's about 1 gp spent per 1 magic exp earned. Strike spells (Mind runes) give less exp for about the same cost. Chaos and Death rune based spells give more exp but cost a lot more. Fally teleport, likewise, gives good exp but is expensive. Hi-alching gives good exp but requires enough of something worth Hi-alching. Enchanting (Cosmic) gives good exp but, again, requires enough things to enchant. It would take, at most, 24580 failed Curses to reach your goal. That should cost you less than 740000 gp Hope this helps

What monster is the best to train on.
There are lots of monsters that will work for you. Personally, I like to train as efficiently as possible to be able to level up as fast as possible. So, I usually pick monsters that are plentiful, respawn quickly, and don't require me to stop for food or bank runs. For your combat stats, level 1 or 2 in the SoS would work well. It would take. at most, 902 Flesh Crawlers to get your ASD to 55. Hope this helps

How do you deal with people like this?
I don't mean to be harsh, but, this is less interesting to the rest of us then it is to you. There is really very little reason to post soap operas here... You don't have to "deal" with them at all. I always put idiots on ignore as soon as they say the first stupid thing. I see no reason to allow them to "burden" my RS play time with their emotional problems. Use the Ignore player feature of the game. Then use Ignore, you will still see other player comments. I'm amazed that you spent as much time talking to that player as you did. Some players are "trolls". That is, they say things just to make you mad. They find entertainment in watching you get mad. Just Ignore them and get back to enjoying your RS play time. Hope this helps

f2p , str training
Well, you earn exp based on the hit that you do and not, directly, on the monsters level. So, with a Def level of only 20 I suggest a place with a lot of fast spawning lower level monsters. Otherwise, you'll have to use a lot of food and time in bank runs. I suggest the first or second level of the SoS. Find a place where you can be killing constantly with little downtime. Hope this helps

Any good equipment a F2P mage can wear apart from the usual?
You could consider adding Monk bottom to this list since it gives no Magic stats at all. I think that you mean that it needs to be enchanted. Readers could also look here for more information. Hope this helps

best place to 'fail curse'
When you cast a Curse and it "hits" the monster you get 29 magic exp and you can't re-curse the monster for awhile. When you cast a Curse and it "fails" on the monster you get 29 magic exp and you can immediately try again on the same monster. You always get 29 magic exp. So, you might as well "fail" so you can keep on using the same monster. Multi-combat areas are good places to cast in since you will almost always have a target available. The Curse spells gives more exp than any Strike type spell (Mind rune) and costs far less than Chaos and Death runes. So, it provides a very cost effective way to raise magic. It's about 1 magic exp per 1 gp spent. All of the runes can be made in F2P. Runecrafting Body runes gives the most F2P RC exp and the Body altar is close to the Edgevill bank if you use the shortcut on the west side of the Barbarian village. You can't auto-cast the spell but you can use an Earth or Water staff to save on Runes. Hope this helps

On average how much xp can you get per arrow
I usually assume that you average half of the max hit. The max hit for Bronze is about (Range + 14)/9 and the max hit for Iron is about (Range +15)/9 So, for level 70, your max hit for those arrows would be about 9 with a long term average of about 4.5 Your earned range exp is then HitDonex4 If you are shooting in Long Range style then that exp is split between Range and Defense. Accurate style is slower but is supposed to increase your max hit by 1. Well, if you didn't pick up the arrows then it's just the average hit. If you did pick up the arrows, then you can use each one about 4 times before it breaks. So, your long term average would then be twice the max hit for your present Range level. But to do computations, remember that your max hit goes up with your Range level so you'll have to compute arrow usage for 1 level and then start again for the next level because the max hit might have gone up. Just use the formulas above. Hope this helps

"fail curse"?
Wear any full metal armor. (Bronze will work) Full helm, chest plate, legs, kite shield, SoS boots (or better) will get you to about -68 magic attack stat. If you equip a staff then also wear dragonhide vambraces. I suggest that you Curse in any safe, multi-combat area. (The key room in the Varrock sewers works well) Curse will always give you the full 29 magic exp. If you bought all of the runes required, then you earn about 1 magic exp for every 1 gp spent That's a much better ratio than any Mind, Chaos, or Death rune based spell. Hope this helps

lowest magic def
When I want to power train I usually use a multi-combat area so I always have a target. My favorite spot is to cast from the Key room in the Varrock sewers across the water into the 4 zombie ladder room. Drops aren't much but you could bring law runes to telegrab the occasional gem. Btw, is should take you about -- 6500 mind runes to reach level 60 -- 4200 body runes to reach level 60 Hope this helps

best monster to train range on
You don't tend to find many rangers doing Ice Giants. Ice warriors may make it difficult to get any loot and/or arrows down there. I suggest Moss giants on Crandor Island or Varrock sewers. Or, Lesser Demons on Crandor Island or under the Karamja volcano. If you cast a Curse spell on them first, then you will "pull" them over to your safe spot. That way, when it dies, your arrows are in the loot pile. :) Btw, with 25k bronze arrows you can reach level 62 if you don't pick up, or, level 77 if you do. If you do pick up, it will take you about 11200 arrows to reach level 70. Hope this helps

best place to 'fail curse'
Well, to be considered the "best" place it needs to be a multi-combat spot. That way, you will always have a target. If you do occasionally hit, then you probably aren't wearing the right gear. You can get -68 easily and always fail. Hope this helps
-
best place to 'fail curse'
No, Bronze and Rune have exactly the same negative magic attack stats. What is your Magic attack stat? With full helm, plate, legs, kite shield, SoS boots you should be able to get -68. If you add in a staff to save on runes then you need to also wear green dragonhide vambraces to stay at -68. That's enough for me, at level 81 magic, to always fail. Hope this helps

Which is better?
Mining A full inventory of (level 15) Iron can earn you about 2800 gp. A full load of (level 30) coal can earn you over 4200 gp. Smithing can make money at higher levels but it's very hard/expensive to get there. Hope this helps
