Dealing With Fear In Hostile Situations
Thats false, doctors who have had much experience know exactly what they are going to do in specific emergencies, and always do it in that order. I would be preety afraid if they didnt... [Note, I'm not saying all doctors, I said experienced ones.]

Dark Bow not as common as you think?
I think its just following the pattern of most items when they come out; start with extremelly high prices, then plummet down, then raise slightly to their stable price, then fall gradually over the months.

Getting 99 Construction [I have sufficient funds!]
Before anyone posts 'it costs alot of money', I'm aware of that. Ive checked how much it costs with a few people who have 99 construction, and Ive heard 60-80m approx. I have much more than enough funds for that. So here are a few questions about getting 99 construction: 1. How do you get it ? :P. I honestly have absolutely NO idea about how to get it. Ive read the guide but actually doing it is something ive never done. 2. I have lvl 1 construction now. What level should i get it to till i start making the same thing till 99? 3. What should I make? 4. Any helpfull tips? 5. The process to 99 + leveling it up? What should I do per level? Sorry these questions are so general, I really have no idea about construction and how to level it up the best ways. :?

Best way of getting 99 smithing?
Im preety sure gold bars with gauntlets arent the fastest way, as you still have to smelt that many. Making steel plates or any other plates of increased metal is the fastest way, by far.

Rude Things That Make You Want to Slap Someone.
You stupid ignorant [bleep]! Some people are fat for other reasons. Like my Dad who had a life threatening illness and had to take steroids to help him through it, main side affect is it makes you huge! So shut the hell up and go read some comics. Yeah........ I doubt that the majority of obese (60% percent of americans i believe it is) have the same life threatening condition.......... I feel sorry for your father though, but lets get real here. That would mean that 180 million americans are about to die or are dying from this.... I dont mean to offend you and your father, and I am deeply sorry, you are understandably angry, but please dont take it out on him.

What makes school the "right thing"?
Because we are strong capitalists, and because we enjoy learning something if we like the subject [dont capt obvious me for the second part :P]. In American highschool there is no clear or ultimate goal except for math......history......science.........language....... its basically a boring compilation of everything they can cram into your heads to make you less ignorant. In college there is a goal, you pick your courses, you study what you like, you make money off that [or not, in some cases]. Highschool isnt necessairly fun except for the 'hanging out' part, and chances are you wont make money directly off learning high school english, or math, or spanish, or history. I'm aware that many people do and there are job oppurtunities in these fields, but except for teachers in the subject, there arent many moneymakers in highschool courses.

What makes school the "right thing"?
Ok time to kill this arguement. You hang out with your friends every day, but you have absolutely no idea what they are saying because there is a lack of common language. Every day, you are confused and seek something further deep inside because of your intelligent human ambitions. You yearn to learn and somewhat comprehend the world around you, but fail and remain confused, desolate, and empty. You may create a belief that there is a greater force, but there is no way to communicate this belief. Since nature , winds, and storms destroyed your house you come to a conclusion that this greater force is out to punish you and prove its power. In no aspect do you conclude a kind, generous, force due to this nature being harsh, and you can only conclude that nature comes from this higher force. You have no way to spread your belief of this higher force, because there is no way of communication. One day, while you are 'hanging out with your friends', human ambition in the form of greater, more physically powerfull men, come and conquer you and make you serve as their slaves. There is no way to combat them because of their physical and united superiority. You are enslaved for the rest of your life, due to the fact that these men, also known as the human desire for superiority, organized themselves somewhat. Other humans eventually find out that by uniting, they can conquer their ununited peers. Society wins. Hmm.... This sounds strangely like early human civilization; I wonder why?

What makes school the "right thing"?
I'm not specifically talking about technological advancements. I said advancement of society. The more people are educated, the less disputes over ignorance there will be. Education promotes social function, which leads to truces, alliances, peace talks, etc. In countries with little education and much ignorance, violence is prevalent over words [unfortunately, thats their only way]. Both technological and social advancements will occur, and the wourld will realize further peace, as a result of education. Thats something called maturity and balance. Mature people balance their time wisely. They dont go around "doing whatever they want to do". They plan ahead. When your a teen you tend to be spontaneous because of your lack of maturity, and you sometimes make rash decisions. However, an mature adult with a secure life can and will make time for whatever "fun" activity he desires, wether it be golf or skydiving.

The Asgarnian Press - Issue 1 - The Asgarnian Press Rises...
Very nice paper, and good idea merging :). I think you should make it a bit more obvious that this is a merge, though. Your bound to get a bunch of people not looking at the intro / spamming it up because they didnt read that part. Mabye bold it or put something in the title, or put it as the first thing? Just trying to keep this topic idiot free :P. Nice paper again by the way.

What makes school the "right thing"?
Working isnt exactly fun. Neither is keeping up and maintaning a working civilization and country. Just think what would happen if everyones mentality was what you would say [and its somewhat obvious at the moment, with all the idiots at school who "just want to have fun"]. Thankfully, many people arent so selfish as to say 'I just want to have fun", if that was the case humanity would be stuck somewhere and everyone would be supposedly 'having fun', which gets old preety quick...

What makes school the "right thing"?
To advance humanity and promote organized society. Education kills ignorance [well, at least its supposed to], and leads to an organized society in which people are somewhat knowledgeable about the world around them. It promotes careers that advance humanity [such as the sciences], and advocates getting a job, so that a stable social structure can exist. The point of making money is a lead off of a career from education, it is not the main purpose [of modern education]. Of course, this also results in a stable economy, which then you could say leads back to the point of education. However, a stable economy is a part of an organized society, not the other way around. The employment from education donates to economic stability. In Diagram Form: Education > Career > Social Structure > Civilization .....................|> Money From Career. [splitting off from career]

Hidden Easter Eggs
The name might come from it, but it was no way similar. Mithril in that movie is dwarven(or elven) armor that is indestructible. Everyone knows that Mithril in runescape is all but indestructible. Mithril was added to the game in early 2001 and was the best armour at the time. It was not intended to be low level armour like it is now. Andrew could not have envisaged that the game would grow in the way that it has or that they would have to add so many types of improved armour to keep players happy. I am aware of this, in fact it crossed my mind to make it an although. I still don't believe Jagex ever planned Mithril from Lord of the Rings to be like the Mithril on Runescape. Mithril is supposed to be silver...not blue. Its not really a lotr reference even. Runite, Adamantite and Mithril are the 3 major fantasy metals. If you look a bit deeper than popular culture fantasy books etc these 3 feature all over the place.Much like allthe incarnations ofr fairies, griffins and elves across the fantasy genre Actually adamantine is real, it's kind of like corundum. Yeah but most people don't know that. Where as they know its a common thing in fantasy hence one of the fantasy metals. Like theres fantasy dwarves. But theres real medical dwarves (genetic dwarfism) Alot of people know about adamantite... it is a type of crystal that when exposed to the right temperatures and pressure can be turned into an extremely strong (but brittle) tempered metal, the only stronger (known) metal is titanium - This is different to the medical condition known as dwarfism.. As adamantite exists in runescape as it does in real life. But I didn't think a stereotype of dwarfs (yes its dwarfs not dwarves) in the real world is that they have a love of metal and are amazing smiths..... Also obsidian exists in the real world, is a type of jet black and shiny rock which can be obtained in a abundance from the continent of Africa. It's just its not really useful in anyway. actually mithril is real too, it's a stronger type of silver, much much rarer than gold, as are most minerals. rune and black are the only metal that are made up... just a note... there are a thing called kryptonite to (superman ftw? :XD: :XD: ). Obsidian isn't just found in africa, it's cooled lava, might explain where obsidian capes came from... Dragon metal is made up also. And the real element is Krypton not Kryptonite [i'm only saying this because i coudnt resist being a quote [garden tool]]

Are Jagex's updates ever really THAT bad?
Bad and Useless are two completely different entities. A 'bad' update, in my opinion, would be an update that has a negative effect on the game and its players [not talking about effect on the economy at all]. An average, useless update, in my opinion, would be a well designed one, but one with little impact on the game. What I was trying to get across was that, just because an update is infrequently used, it does not make it any less well-designed or thought out. Useless quests still make perfectly good sense with perfectly good plots, for example. They just don't impact the game as much as players would have hoped, resulting in virtually no impact on the game, a sort of 'busywork'. No impact is not a bad impact, it is just time wasted, which you could argue that time wasted is bad, but time wasted for what? Jagex has no deadlines.

What would you do if RS was real?
You dont get turd in rs. I would lure little kiddies into the wilderness with candy and then take their stuff and proceed to kill them :D.

Are Jagex's updates ever really THAT bad?
I dont think jagex updates are bad at all, and I don't believe many other mature players feel the same way. I find them to be clever, witty, and, well, interesting. However, these updates are, many times, used infrequently and sometimes downright useless. It's not the updates I think are bad, but the fact that Jagex isn't using their potential. When you think of all the useless and little used updates, [not counting graphical updates, I find graphical updates very usefull to advancing the look of the game over many years] and how much time they took to make, and add it all up, you find that Jagex, well, wasted time that could have been more efficently used to advance the game. If Jagex took all the time they used up to make small updates, and made major, gamechanging, 'important' updates, I feel runescape could realize alot more potential then it is realizing now. We could be playing in a completely deeper world than we are playing in now. Jagex seems like they are getting the hang of these major or somewhat major updates starting last month and this month. It seems that, through trial and error, they finally realize what they were doing wrong.

An Economic Crash :O!? OMGZORZ!!!!
It wont. I wont go into a full explanation, I've done that on other threads before. As for the "Jagex is god, they will make the economy crash" concept, Jagex is smart and wants business, so they try to remain as laissiez - faire as possible towards the in-game economy. If they tampered with it, many players would wind up playing less or for shorter amounts of time, or even quitting. Although holding a laissiez-faire is virtually impossible in runescape due to updates, when they release new updates they attempt to lessen the economic impact, as they have done before [although construction is a contradiction, but it supports my theory that the economy is stable]. Anyone predicting a crash or some sort of economic shift probably does not know very much at all about the laws of economy, and have not put very much into their claim.
