Well these riots can't simply be about some guys dieing in Tottenham, can it? I mean that's the tip of the iceberg but there have to have been some serious underlying causes for this to happen. Again, just the measures imposed by the gouvernment i don't think could have caused this. Something different must have sparked the initial riot.

That image is exaggerated with the text. I'm just saying it doesn't really motivate me. Just because your fit doesn't automatically mean you'll kick everyone's butt, or even the butt of someone less fit than you. The guy on that image looks nice but the text is just wrong

But statistically it is more likely that they are, because gaming is a sedentary hobby, and non-gamers tend to have more active hobbies. When I wrote the post at the top of this page, there was nobody who had admitted to being overweight. In a largely US/Euro-centric community of gamers, that was highly improbable. I wouldn't say that's true. Looking at hardcore gamers, they usually take one of 2 paths: Overweight or underweight. I would say becoming underweight is also a significant possibility since some get preocupied with the game and tend to ignore some eating habits, especially if they also smoke/drink.

I don't find it a big deal that alot of the people on a Runescape fan site are not overweight. Most players aren't addicted and manage to find a good balance between the game and their lives. Assuming that people from a gaming forum are overweight simply because of that is just a prejudice, not necessarily true. Quite alot of ideas forwarded on this topic related to the weight issue. Most of them i've heard before and aren't anything new, but one user has particularly impressed me with his posts on this very topic, which pretty much coincide with my own experiences and what i see as truth. In any case there would be too much ground to cover on this topic so i won't, i'll just say i'm not overweight anymore and although i'm definetly not satisfied with how i look i've grown content with it.

Try it if you really want to find out.

Mostly badly made video guides will suffer from the shortcomings that the author mentioned. If a video is well-thought out (which will also require a level of ability and knowledge from the author in order to make it like that) then i think it can even surpass the usefulness of a text guide. I believe the problem is that most videos are made by people who don't know how to make them properly and are made in a rush. I've personally seen a great deal of extremely useful videos on various aspects that teach me alot, but they come from professionals and have some thought put into them.

Odd enough, before seeing this thread i actually DID do something i have never done before. I was very stressed and decided to understake some extreme measures to unwing: put some ambiental background music on and read books while i listen to it. Needless to say it was a smashing success. So different from the usual aggresive genre i listen to. I've been tinkering with a few one-shot ideas of things to do that i normally wouldn't, but so far i've put them off. Anyway, have fun guys :D

Extraordinary measures was ...good. I think it was the scientist bit that made me like it, less the emotional part which i didn't care for. I liked Harrison Ford in it.

That's just not true...On a sidenote, it's ALMOST ALWAYS been a pain for me to get p2p. Even now when i have a credit card and paypal account they STILL decline my money and i have to find workarounds. Also i dont live in one of those countries where you can find game cards (i dont think there's such a thing here) nor do we have phone paying options.

Come to think about it, the sun annoys me. During the summer it does, anyway. It reaches 35 celsius here and often stays like that for days on end and i don't go out during the day much so i don't have a tan, hence when i DO go out amidst a 35 degree scorching sun i tend to get sunburns and then it just burns like hell for days. I cant be asked to get protective lotion really. Anyway i really don't care about my tan and i've always found it weird that others do. It's just skin color... meh.Just get black if you really want a darker skin tone :D (i hope no one was offended by that) :ohnoes:

For one, smokers affect those around them if they are non-smokers. I know this first-hand because both my parents smoke and sometimes call me in the kitchen while they do that and it's terror since i'm a non-smoker and i cough constatly whiel i'm there, plus the smell is horrid. Drinking and then driving, for example (which is what some do) CAN affect others alot. In cases like the two mentioned above, when you affect those around you, then the decision should not be yours alone anymore, tbh. If your doing drugs doesn't affect others then by all means but in some cases it does affect.

It's not so much that i resists temptation, just that i never touched them to begin with... Well i did do some ecstasy once for tries but felt terrible 24 hours after (head hurting rapid heart beat, tired but not able to sleeep) and it made me not want to try it ever again. Marijuana i also tried doing but seeing as i never was a smoker i couldnt stand it...Alchohol, it's funny i never got that because my mom was an alchoholic. I don't even drink soft drinks anymore, meh.

If elected, I, Dizzle, promise to change the state religion to Pastafarianism, and to have the cast of Jersey Shore deported to Somalia. Dizzle getting votes and me not annoys the hell out of me :( You have a good campaign plaftorm though :o

I feel weird reading everyone drug habbits and me not having any lol. Makes me feel antisocial :(

Good for you. Didn't mean to come off cocky. I was trying to express that if you have a good teacher and pay attention in the class, you'll do fine and shouldn't stress testing. Well some don't pay attention or lack the training to pay attention or can't understand it on the go. Although i'd say that some lack the capacity to pay attention because they haven't done so alot :shame:

How so? We just don't have these. I'm still not quite sure how they work - colleges come and offer courses which you can take. You take them then after the course ends you take an exam in it and the result of the exam can help you get into the college that offered the course or? If that's the case then there's no such program here - no undergraduate courses being offered until you actually get into University. Alright third edit, i had to document myself a bit on what i was writing lol, shows how little i know about the educational system

I actually liked the first 4 or so season of scrubs. It was funny and actually talked about alot of issues i could relate to, real life problems that made sense to me.

I hate it when cats try to lick my hand because their tongue is so rough, yuck. I hate how the surface of some decorations feels like, i can't desribe it but it's just rough and i am literally horrified to touch them. I hate when people (and especially girls) whisper secrets to each other and you think it's this super big secret and world domination plots but in fact its probably just what to wear tomorrow >_< WHY whisper?!?! :P

I also read that ion wikipedia :D Darn british and their fancy names :P

Thank god it's not depression, I was [cabbage] scared because I thought it was and I don't know how to help out depressed people. :ohnoes: I can somewhat relate to that as i also tend to overthink things. I never actually went to the doctor and was never 'officialy' diagnosed or anything, just something i noticed and eventually managed to pin-point. I've been able to contain it lately and am significantly more relaxed :) I think it was self-induced for me because until about 5 years ago i actually didn't think at all and people were making fun of me, until gradually i forced myself to think things more and more and somehow i got to a point where i was feeling frustrated and had headaches for no apparent reason (not apparent then ,but obvious now). On a side note: 2 and 1/2 months more of holiday - yay?

Me too! My signature is never exactly the same haha. Well anyway i don't see what all the fuss is about - i can understand cursive, no problem. As for writing it, i still use it predominantly and i'm in my 3rd year at University :D. Curently my writing style is a mixture of cursive and printing (mostly cursive). I adjusted some of my leters to be print (such as p or u since i thought it was too much hassle making them cursive and i thought they were butt-ugly lol) but i still use cursive as a general style and for most other letters. It's the way i was taught in primary school and i couldn't care to change it nor did i see any reason to. However by no means do i write nice-looking cursive :D It's considered by most to be kind of ugly :P The first letter in a new sentence is ALWAYS print for me and then the rest are mostly cursive. I don't really write much anymore since most courses at University are powerpoint-like presentations on a big screen and after the course is over they just give it to us on an USB stick  Upon looking at Wikipedia to see what cursive was i saw a picture of the alphabet in cursive and was like O_O as that was my primary-school alphabet and i think of it as kind childish for that reason. I guess it is kind of fast writing and actually most of my peers CAN understand what i write, hm, so i guess alot of people still use cursive here. never payed much attention to it frankly. EDIT: I remember when i was about 10 my parents made me stay up for hours on end and make the ending of cursive 'a' PERFECT because for some reason they thought it was horrendous >_<. Conession now, hm ... i like to kiss my cat on it's nose sometimes :P

I skipped over the second page, but 'poor' i think is an ever-evolving concept. It's all a matter of the enviroment we live in. Tv's we're seen as luxury perhaps 50 years ago, but now even some who are classified as poor have them. In other news, average wage in my country is 300$/month and prices are only about 20% smaller, with some products being very close in price to those in developed nations. Ohai poverty compared to US.

Dragons should wear dragon boots? runes wear rune boots?

Boooots? :o And welcome to tip.it alice :D -
Saw it aswell now. The beginning isn't that great as i've seen many movies start like that with a mysterious aura. Towards the end from when the truth is revealed aswell as the actual end and twist....brilliant. 9/10 film, definetly a must watch.
