  1. Yay, finally a bxpw that doesn't crash with a gazillion other things  And I love task sets, so yay. Rest sounds decent enough. Looking forward to seeing what they make of it
  2. Just got 2 medium lamps on my nooblet. Used on lvl 1 RC = 125 xp. Used on lvl 2 RC = 137-138 xp (the "flying counter" said 138, the text in chatbox said 137) On main I got a whopping 50gp and addy xbow :P
  3. After quite a lot of discussion within staff we have decided to close this topic. The reason for doing this is that it really is pure spam with no other purpose than being spam. This thread has gone against our original intentions for Forum Games (Absolutely NO spamming). We feel that in recent months especially, you guys have abused our leniency in this area and also taken it to mean that no other forum rules apply. Despite our constant reminders, we have people saying that "The rules don't matter here," or "We're a tight knit community - we don't care about the rules," or "We accept sexual jokes and images, it's fine!" And when we move in to enforce those rules, we are met with extreme hostility and staff bashing (which is also against the rules). There's a reason we created this forum with a strict "no spamming" rule. There's a reason a "spam forum" has always been on our suggestion black list. There's a reason we don't allow a "random images" thread in Off-Topic. There's a reason why we never wanted to implement a shoutbox. These things all boil down to spam. Tip.It is not the place for spam and it is not something we want in our community. If you want to have random conversations with friends, spam quotes, and share random GIFs, there are other places to do that (Skype chats, IRC channels, your own forum, etc.). We have tried to exercise leniency, we have tried to let you guys have a place to "just have fun," but it has gotten way out of hand and things are only getting worse - not better. We have rules here for a reason and you all agreed to abide by them when you registered on Tip.It. Instead you guys seem to be ignoring them and claiming that the rules just don't apply here, which definitely is not the case. We understand that people like to have an arena for various idle chatter, but this is not it. As previously stated, there are other options available for you. And let's be honest, you guys would probably be happier in your own community where you can form your own rules. Please do not create any forum games unless there is a clear purpose to the game. No such games will be allowed. To help you understand the difference: Describe the person above you with one adjective!! - This thread has a purpose. You have to describe someone with an adjective. There is no endgame, but there is a "requirement" for posting - you have to be contributing. You have to follow the game and stay on-topic. Last one to post wins - This thread has no purpose. There is no possible way to end/win the game (without locking the thread) and there are no requirements or standards for posting. Since there is no direction for the game, you can just post whatever you want. There is no way to not be playing the game and there is no way to go off-topic. Thus, it becomes a spam thread. We will not be allowing any more spam threads in Forum Games. Spamming and going off-topic or straying from the game will not be allowed. ALL of our Tip.It Forum Rules apply to Forum Games. This means no spamming, no flaming, no sexual images or comments, no sexual innuendos, no text in languages other than English, no violating RuneScape Rules, no going off-topic, no harassment/insults/personal attacks, no posting on behalf of banned users, and all the other rules we have listed. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please don't hesitate to pm me or another administrator about it. And I guess this means I win.
  4. For what it's worth there was also this little piece of info with our teaser pics:
  5. But based on history, should Jagex chose to follow the pattern from the last 3 BXPW, it may be in mid-March-ish
  6. Weeeee, so good to see you online again!

  7. A very bored Sio waiting for the all clear after an emergency evacuation of the cleanroom she works in. (Yes, I look like the lovechild of a smurf and a moomin in that suit)
  8. I get to a place that's "crowded" (definition will depend on spawn rate/monster/location. I mainly slay) I hop. Just not worth it. If I'm alone usually one more doesn't bother me, most slayer spots are easily shared, and I also appear to be among the lucky ones mostly running into nice people (even though I'm usually about as talkative as a mute oyster). If more show up, I'll usually somehow manage to out"kill" them. Ofcourse, that does require Jagex to fix my (and many others') 3fps issue..... <_<
  9. 2 dose pots into 1+1 dose! Finally!!! Halleluja!!! Pestering Mod mark about it paid off finally!!! Now off to oog'log

    Food

It's official. Tom Yum Goong is one of the best dishes ever!!! Luckily I found a 12 pack of instant paste. Just add prawns, mushrooms and water. *drool*
  11. No problem at all with the cashpile. I checked ourHerblore cost calc and it seems a decent nuisance/cost alternative is to make 136 energy potions, which would cost you 80-90K. Good luck :)

    Food

I got served something supposedly a big favourite with polish children. Spaghetti, sour cream and strawberries. Didn't taste bad at all, I can see it work as a dessert. However as a main?? That was juat plain too weird for me. Off to Thailand in a week. Yummy foods (and lovely weather) come to meeeee!!
  13. Week 49 - January 6, 2012 [hide] [/hide] Visit the Teaser Discussion Topic!
  14. If China made up 70-90% of Blizzards player base you better believe that BlizzCon would be in Beijing. It's not as if Blizzard would lose players by not hosting it in Beijing. It makes sense to host it at "home", where they can have as many of their staff attending as possible. It's not about the staff. It's about the players. They want it for the advertising, the revenue, and the good press. The more kids they can draw with daddy's money (or their own) the better for them. Absolutely, but there is no denying one of the key reasons to go to Runefest is the opportunity to chat to the developers/Jmods/people. So again, holding RF stateside with the same amount of JMods attending would have a massive "cost", not only moneywise but also time/manhours.
  15. Now the snow is back. I dislike snow.

    1. D. V. Devnull

      D. V. Devnull

In that case, here's a way to like it. Bundle up well, walk outside, make some snowballs, and then toss those snowballs at some random jerk that you don't like. >=P

    2. chenw

      Cast Fire Surge -> Snow

    3. D. V. Devnull

If it is RuneScape snow... but if it is IRL snow, then you can't do that. =(

  16. Money bag, tool belt and more bankspace. 'Tis good to be a senile packrat in December!
  17. Hi guys. I appear to have misplaced my dearly beloved Sony PRS-300 pocket e-reader  Unless it is to surface within a couple of days I will most definately need a new one. The question then is which one?? After looking around a little bit I have so far found two alternatives. Sony's PRS-T1BC and thePocketBook 301 My criteria are primarily size (as small as possible), userfriendliness (I know about Sony's horrible software but I'm guessing drag & drop works as well as it did on the 300) and price. In addition I do NOT want a Kindle, as I abhor the DRM/you MUST buy from us blah de blah (I also have complete Apple-phobia for the same reasons). Anyone got any experience with either of my alternatives? Heard of any other that fit my criteria? All help appreciated :)
  18. Tbh my main reason for really hoping they won't stray too far from London/Cambridge is primarily that one of the greatest pro's of Runefest is the oportunity to talk to the developers/Jagex staff. Over the two events that have been held all staff has been there on their "own time and dime" (assuming they got atleast some parts of room and board covered, but still.) Even New York (the closest of current alternatives) means a 7h flight each way + additiional time for getting to airport, check-in, immigration (Hello there USI &TSA) so let's say 10h travel each way at the nifty price starting at £550 round-trip, I'd expect the actual price to go a fair bit higher due to less flexibility with times etc etc. How many JMods were at Runefest? 50? So 1000 man-hours lost purely to travel (not counting extra padding-time in each end) and atleast £30K and counting for airfare. I'd personally like to see those sort of resources go towards a better event/better game, but that's my opinion.
  19. I tested my polypore staff at icewyrm. For me who does not have a firecape (I know, I know....) it is perhaps slightly less effective than fire surges. However I personally find that A: No need to change spellbook from linar ( <3: ) and B: The cost being around half, possibly even lower per spell definately makes up for that.
  20. If anyone finds WHAT you need for the various armour pieces I'd be real happy :)
