  1. For pure speed, he's right; fly fishing in shilo is the best for experience. This is feathers, not bait. Also, if you do that, you miss on the opportunity to farm at the Catherby allotments while fishing, which i adore. Have fun either way!
  2. Mass curse is a very good way to move forward. Buy a water staff, craft a ton of earths, buy bodies. Go down to Al Kharid Scorpions, put on your METAL ARMOR, and miss as many curses as you can. You still get exp for the misses, so just sit back and enjoy.
  3. Ectofunctus seems a lot more complicated than it actually is. To do it, you will need 9 buckets, 9 bones, and 9 pots. From the ectofunctus, go downstairs first. Walk around to the pool (much faster with 58 agility) and fill your buckets with the slime. Take your 9 buckets of slime, 9 bones and 9 buckets to the third floor. Put each bone in the machine ont he east side (the hopper), turn the wheel (which grinds it) and collect bone powder on the west side of the machine with the pot. Be careful not to accidentally bury bones doing this. After this, you should have 9 pots of bone powder, 9 buckets of slime. Go back to the second floor, and "worship" at the functus. Presto. 4X the prayer experience.
  4. And by "almost double" he means 4X as much.
  5. Throw another vote on the shortbow fire. I didn't notice much, if any, of a power drop-off. The speed of shortbows is fantastic (especially on rapid). Don't know anyone that's tried both and prefers longbows.
  6. You have some agility experience, so I will assume you are a member. DO QUESTS. Look through the tip.it database of quests and check the rewards. The Rag and Bone Man quest gives you 7000 prayer exp, for example. Holy Grail gives quite a bit. I think Shilo gives some as well, although maybe not. I know that the Ghost's Ahoy Quest and other similar Phantasmyical quests are excellent. Priest in Peril, perhaps? I also train prayer indirectly; I train ranging on mossies, or melee on Ogres or something with good bone drops. Your EXP adds up quickly. Also, bury EVERY bone, because you can always get a zombie random that leaves you with a few dragon bones and hundreds and hundreds of prayer exp.
  7. I recommend talking to people during your walks to and from the bank. It would clarify that you are in fact a real player. Or you can taunt people while you get iron, or apologize if you're nice. Either way, you're a non-robot.
  8. I can't fathom that they'll stay useless forever. I'm hanging on to mine.
  9. After you talk to the general, go back downstairs and talk to the sleepy or drunk guard. There may or may not be several options, but eventually he will specifically state he likes Khali beer. At that point, you can go out and buy the Khali beer west of the arena.
  10. I know you need level 50 to use the large pouch in devious minds, but do you need 50 RC to get one for the quest? There's some debate on this one, but whatever. 50 from 48 isn't exactly a grand undertaking. Also, I'm looking more for advice than support, although I appreciate the support. I try to avoid reading the guides, although i know that is tough. Are there any quests here that I should finish first, because they help to finish another one? Anything that I should "get out of the way". Underground Pass seems to be exceptionally hated.
  11. OK folks, the time for me to be done with my incredibly mundane stream of mining and smithing is almost at hand. I'm nearly complete my last "fun" task, and have merely 1300 (of 7000) iron bars to make into knives. From here, I want to work on my quests. I have 151 QP right now, and have done almost exclusively easy quests. Family Crest, Shilo, heroes... these types of things are about as far as I've pushed. I want to do a little more now, and there are a ton of quests that I want to get done in the near future: [*:3qgrwoke]Underground Passage[*:3qgrwoke]Regicide[*:3qgrwoke]Legends[*:3qgrwoke]Monkey Madness[*:3qgrwoke]Rum Deal[*:3qgrwoke]Cabin Fever[*:3qgrwoke]Devious Minds[*:3qgrwoke]Temple of Ikov[*:3qgrwoke]The Haunted Mine[*:3qgrwoke]The Fremmenik Trials[*:3qgrwoke]Horror From the Deep There are some otheres I have left to do (such as Elid) that I know I could finish at any time. There are others I have left to do (such as the Mourning's Ends, and Recipe) that I couldn't do now, either due to weakness or just lack of prerequisites. I need advice. Please let me know about where you think should I start on this list, what should I avoid, and if there is anything I need to work on before I start any of them. My stats are as follows: Thanks!
  12. Don't bother with the axe and tinder box if you have very high cooking; if you don't burn lobbies anymore, then you are better off getting 26 lobbies per run (empty inventory besides gold and lobster pot. If your cooking isn't high (over 70 or so), then wield the axe, cut and cook the lobbies all on Karamja, so you can run back and forth with 25 lobbies per run. At that rate, 1k will take you 40 trips, and at 60 gp per trip (30 to the mainland, 30 back), it will cost you 2400 GP. If you can do 26 lobbies (high cooking), you'll save one trip and 60 GP.
  13. It's very hard for me to advise someone with better moneymaking capacity than me on how to make money. The super rich folk all seem to be merchants. I know you said you're "no good", but a lot of these people are idiots. Once you get an understanding of the true going rates of items, you'll be fine. And since your skills are all very impressive, now is a good time to work on that soft art of merching. Just a thought, dispose of it if you like.
  14. Both of these people are just about right. Climb the ladder on the east side of the house. The pillars are on the top floor.
  15. Fly fishing. Edgeville. It's super fast experience, although the fish isn't all that valuable. You'll still turn a profit, and skyrocket your levels quickly. Good luck!
  16. Very cool! I'd love to stumble into something like that. :)
  17. I didn't know about this! It isn't very practical, but it is interesting. I'll give it a shot, just for fun.
  18. Phantasmys bank no longer has a door! Much easier mass smelting projects, only one door (furnace) to worry about. Woohoo! :D
  19. Once more: IS THE RING TRADABLE If it is, then by default tomorrow it will become RS's newest rare. If it isn't, then I don't care about it, and MAY get the emote, but will likely bother with neither.
  20. What a fantastic thread! People like you two (with the author's generous bid, and Leester's incredible generosity) make RS and tip.it a more fun place to hang out. Bravo.
  21. IS this ring untradable as well, like those horrendous Christmas scarves? I can't imagine you can trade it, and don't want to waste my time on some other bank-filling hunk of crap.
  22. You're doing a great job, keep it up! Those are some really impressive stats!
  23. Let's see... 1. If I take more than five swings at a coal rock, the rock is broken. Start over, click again. 2. If I start fishing really slowly, I back up, hit the "spin" emote, and come back down. When the fish see me turn my back, they race to shore, and then I'm firing a harpoon into their neck. 3. If I'm beginning to REALLY like farming, I've been doing it too long. 4. Never, ever let your special bar get to 100% when doing combat. That's just wasteful. 5. Don't leave home without an antipoison. Ever.
  24. Somebody pimped his rug! That's seriously awesome. I hope they never fix it in ever.
  25. VERY interesting point Outsanity. Of course, if they want to be fair, they'll need to insert a dragon harpoon, or at least a dragon lobster pot.
