Is my friend a "liar"
I'm at 3 years, and I don't play all that much. Level 80 is more than twice the experience from level 70 in any given skill. Piece of cake!

Relleka Diary: Thoughs on tasks and rewards
Neitznot, Jaitzso, and Miscellania/Etcetera will probably be included. We'll have tons of little nickel dime tasks there; spin flax on the Neitznot Wheel/smelt at the Neitznot forge (best in the game!), kill some of those tougher trolls, etc. I'd expect that Kingdom Upkeep would come into play, along with more Lunar tasks - crafting astrals, casting some lunar magics, (Lunar Home, for example).

One year has passed !
You do every time your check clears. Support at fansites also makes the game more fun. Without people like you that care about the game, Jagex' product would be worthless.

One year has passed !
It really is hard to believe how much this game has improved in a year. [*:1ipkilft]Autoers gone.[*:1ipkilft]PK WORLDS available[*:1ipkilft]Insertion of Bounty Hunter, Clan Wars, Fist of Guthix, Stealing Creation[*:1ipkilft]Great new Grandmaster Quest, and several other great quests (like Ooglog!).[*:1ipkilft]Spirit Shields and Dragon Platebodies[*:1ipkilft]A summoning skill which went from abysmal to AMAZING, especially once you figure out how to use it.[*:1ipkilft]Circus, Penguins, and Comets... all great additions and 100% optional Too many great steps forward to count. I am incredibly impressed by the job Jagex has done in the last year.

No-one trying to decipher Chaos Elemental message this time?
Good call on BY. With the achievement Diary coming out, there could be an item that unlocks new prayers / lunar magics (like how slayer staff unlocks Magic Dart). Have there really been 6 goblin quests? Yeah, seems that it has to be the seventh in the on-deck circle.

Dragonkin: After the Rise of Lucien
I just read the entire first post. I don't know if you're right, but you've done a fantastic job compiling information. One note that may pertain to the coming of Guthix: in "Spirit of Summer", it is detailed that people just happened upon Gielenor, perhaps coming from some other realm. They would have bridged in after the Dragonkin had moved into hiding, which is why their time (the time of the Spirit Realm) has many artefacts from the Dragonkin which were already in a state of decomposing. May be worth noting, since it certainly helps support your case.

No-one trying to decipher Chaos Elemental message this time?
OK, my thoughts: Sounds like a shadow portal out of the Ice Plateau in deep Wildy. Perhaps a cave out there. Could be a few things; notice allusion to words both "forgive" and "forget" here. Wouldn't be surprised if a new quest is named "forgive and forget", or if they were new prayers. Don't know what "BY" stands for. Well, certainly starts with a Phoenix familiar, seems pretty clear there. Could be a goblin reference as well; they are Bandos worshippers. The word "old" is used seven times here; can't be an accident. Few thoughts on this one. [*:1427wmae]Corrupt and Natural could refer to something PK related.[*:1427wmae]"High, uplifted land" is either a mountain, or a plateau. It could also be in the slayer tower, where the ground is elevated and the tower is too. [*:1427wmae]"Red" and "green" immediately bring to mind "zamorak" and "guthix" in a CW like situation, but this may not be related. The only "mad" man I remember is Melzar, but I don't think he's dead.[*:1427wmae]Anagram: Mad, Dead Man = Mead And Mad, Madam Daden/Adden/Neadd Nothing comprehensive, but a few thoughts.

Nah, I was just kidding around. I'm -way- too old for some haircut like that, but whatever makes you happy.

Summer's end
I beat the last room by pressing the down arrow to pull down the perspective as low angle as possible. Then use the minimap to navigate your clicks, and definitely use ooglog pools for run energy. This allows you to see the preferred color more easily, and also run like crazy while he's splashing all over the place. I still croaked a couple times before I got it done correctly. Good luck!

Oak Planking - GE vs. Gathering
I don't mind planking. It's cheap and it's good woodcutting experience. Here's the easiest way. Preparations: 1. Finish "Enlightened Journey" Quest, unlock all balloon routes. 2. Cut and bank about 100 willows. 3. Buy/make about 50 rings of dueling. Very simple. Start at castle wars while wielding an axe and only one willow log and cash in your inventory. Run northeast to the balloon, and tele to lumberyard. There are several oak trees right there, one click northwest from where you land. Cut, then run to the saw, and plank. Duel ring back, bank planks. Grab willow log. Lather, rinse, repeat.

An Unlikely Coincidence
Clearly the sword at least more closely resembles the sara sword than any other sword in the game. While you might not be dead on, you may be on to something.

Slayer "Partys" - More interactions with each other. :-)
ProTip: Kalphites and Dagonnoths can be used to fight KQ and DKs, respectively. Lesser Demons can count for one of the GWD monsters. Now, getting the same task as your friend from the same master would be nice, although with my luck you'd be doomed to a string of Suqahs.

An Unlikely Coincidence
1. They killed some Elite White Temple Knights and stole their cool swords. 2. Zamorak was not creative when he designed his big non-godSword. 3. Jagex liked the design and thought you wouldn't notice. 4. There is no sword. It's a magical manifestation created by the Mages down there. Truth is, I have no idea, but it could be any number of things.

Tip it is Cliquey - Share you thoughts/Experiences
I suppose the closest things I've seen to cliquery have come in two forms: Rate This and response to Tip It Times / Library threads. "Rate This" mob mentality is a bid upsetting, but not surprising. The very nature of the thread is to allow the poster an opportunity to show off some hard earned achievements, and brag to his/her associates in game. People are critical out of a combination of several elements. Often they seen everything from 2200+ totals to untrimmed slayer capes, and it's hard to impress someone who's seen it all. As a result, people end up comparing each poster to the best achievements ever. It's an impossible standard to live up to. In terms of "Tip It Times" and "Library" articles, the fact that people are so critical is probably a good sign, but it also makes things very hard on writers. I joined the writing staff recently because I saw horrendously mean and caustic things said about articles, and frankly thought that if nothing else I have a thicker skin than most and would like to absorb some of that punishment doled out upon other hard working writers. The writers try to put out articles, but are not always given material to work with. Not every week is a new "Grand Exchange" released to talk about, but that doesn't change the expectation of the readers. The simple fact is that there have been some great writers in the past whom have come and gone. New writers (and I exclude myself for obvious bias) are doing a good job, but if you're looking for the old style you grew to like, a new writer will offer something different and the grass is greener. Therefore people who want a "market" article are upset by an "update" article, or vice versa. By and large the community here is great; while there is some occasional cynicism the most important thing to do is to step back and isolate it for what it is: a few members spoiled by the quality of similar threads in the past that have yet to understand that different is not necessarily any worse.

Oh good God I hope not. No reason to encourage such nonsense. You kids these days and your sacrificing depth perception and your peripheral vision in exchange for dramatic hair.[/getoffmylawn]

Pouches for shards
You can exchange any pouch for 70% of the shards required to make the pouch. The limitation is that you must be at least -5- levels higher in summon than the level of the pouch you wish to sell. Long story short, all green charms besides bunyip are good (bunyip has expensive second, also sells well on GE). Most crimson and blue charms are also good. Gold are pretty weak, because they're cheap to begin with.

while guthix sleeps - stuck
I brought a few of every rune, and a load of fish and antipoisons. Tried out each rune until the door opened. Not the most elegant of solutions, but it works.

Runescape Named One Of The Best Time Wasters
There are always more efficient things to do. If you're out walking and getting exercise, you could be running. If you're reading a book, you could be reading a more challenging book. If you're taking a class, you could be taking a harder class. Is it really time wasted if it's time spent doing something you genuinely enjoy?

Max Farming xp
Jade Vine? That big stupid thing by Ardougne Manor? It's not much, but could give you a couple extra EXP. You certainly have the bulk of the work planned up.

Black Elite Armor / Tormented Wraith
Great tip there, thank you. I had the fancy idea of camping at the guards and alching the plates; since the first set came through so easily. If they're hard to recoup, I'll stick to "normal" black armor, since it's a cheaper rebuy. Much appreciated!

How should I do borrows?
Get your mage and slayer up to use Magic Dart. Without a formidable magic or range attack, you will be extremely inefficient at Barrows.
