  1. Hah! Of course, we don't know the context of those pictures. I'm hoping there was some sarcasm involved there... a lot of the time I jokingly type like more of an idiot than I am just to amuse myself and tease other friends.
  2. Amazing. Personally, I am glad that I will probably never make it there. All that work, and then... what?
  3. I would never, ever take off a dragon chain if I got one. Well, yes I would, too afraid to lose it. Actually, I'd probably never put one on! Great job, nice log. Any tips on your personal experiences with the queen would be appreciated, for five years from now when I'm strong enough to think about it. :-)
  4. Yesterday I spent 30 minutes giving tons of advice to a girl who was new to the game. I told her exactly how to get to places that she could use to improve her fishing, crafting, mining, and smithing. She was thrilled! After the thirty minutes, she informed me she was 11, and was positively aghast to learn that I was (brace yourself!) 26. "Um, no offense..." ...yeah, that's always followed by something offensive. Save it. I have fun playing the game, and make no apologies.
  5. I had no desire to use my real name. "Stormveritas" is a character I created for writing short stories around, and thus it was perfect for me to use as my runescape handle.
  6. Yabut, you can be a melee or range fighter and use magic without equipping anything different. Granted it's effectiveness may be limited, but it's still worth noting.
  7. The irony here is amazing. Skills are getting too easy, so let's make another guild to let us level up quicker. The updates work well when they aren't overblown. The game doesn't need anything new, although certain "promises" are overdue. I think that Jagex could make the 100th quest very difficult, with the reward being a deed to a spot upon which a player owned house could be built. Of course, that would be really elaborate, and there are lots of quests and things I've yet to do.
  8. 110. I'm not very good at the game, and haven't been playing for that long. But I just hit 43 prayer, so I'll be able to do a bunch of quests I was too skeered of before.
  9. ::sigh:: Sarcasm is in sad state of disrepair in our little world.
  10. I'm not sure, I am not quite there yet. I'm only 104; I think you might need 107. I've heard as high as 112!
  11. Well, you can, but you need level 126 smithing to smith dragon 2h, and you need to get those 1-a day dragon ores from Lumbridge Volcano to do so. No small task.
  12. I'm still new, and weak, and generally bad. I don't know what my end monetary goal is. Goals for me are much more skill-driven; I never keep enough cash on hand to worry about. Hell, I could probably double my total holdings with one long day of yew cutting. My goals now are (in no specific order) [*:39o1nzyc]Mine 4k coal, smelt, bars->ores, re-smelt, and make 8k cannonballs.[*:39o1nzyc]Train atk to 60, buy a d-long, train all combats to 60 + (including range).[*:39o1nzyc]Catch up on the quests I want to do, including Heroes, Troll Stronghold, Waterfall, Underground Passage, etc.[*:39o1nzyc]Get into crafting my own nats again, now that I'm over 44 RC. Get into the high-alching business, since I got 55 Magic. Need to bring fletching from 60->65 so I can string and alch yews. The more stuff I do, the more stuff opens before me that needs to be done. Eventually, I'll be done with the majority of quests, and skills, and will be to the point where skill leveling is much slower (high 70's to low 80's - got a ways to go before I get there!) Until I reach that point, money is only there to fuel the training fires. In good news, I hit 55 + Mage, 50 agility, 70 mining and 70 wc in the same week. So at least I'm moving in the right direction.
  13. I don't think this will be a pie that stops or even slows people... that just sounds ridiculous. I think it will be a novelty item, just something funny, like hucking a gnomeball at someone. Funny, but ultimately impractical. At least I hope so; sticky pies is really a terribly stupid idea.
  14. While I've got nothing but love for my boy Urza, I loathe Pkers. General bane of the entire game. No, I won't go fight for it. I'm not strong enough now anyway, but that's besides the point. Fighting something for a long time, beating it fairly, and then letting some cowardly PKer swoop in on my weakened character would aggravate me enough to drive me to serial rampage.
  15. I'm not a great player by any stretch, but I was somewhat proud of my level 72 mining... ...until i saw this thread. Great job man! You've got a ton of work ahead of you, but stay focused and keep at it!! Give us the updates, we're all rooting for you to finish the goal (and sell us some of that ess ;) )!!!
  16. The local handyman. Jack of all trades (except Herblore and Farming), master of none. Definitely more inclined to the skills than fighting, but has some potential to become a halfway decent fighter / mage as well.
  17. I think it's a very good idea! I'm not a fighter, so currently I stick to the paltry level 2 clues. :(
  18. Everyone in the game has to make money some how. Mining, cutting, staking, fishing, whatever... there is always a way for someone in the game to make money. How it is spent is up to the user... generally common goods are grudgingly purchased in the interest of saving time. My question to the masses: What exactly do you now refuse to do? For me, this is a no brainer. I am all set with mining rune essence. Never again will I waste my time hacking at this junk, for it is far too boring and time consuming for my concerns. The experience for it is a waste. Also, except that they are currently obscenely overpriced, I would be all set with bowstrings. Should they decide to come back down to a reasonable price, I will gladly re-retire from picking flax and making strings. How's about you?
  19. Mine 5k coal, or cut 4k yews. kthxbye.
  20. My rune long. Yeah, I'm a weakling. I don't work combat at all. Sooner or later I'll get to work and buy that dragon long, or something comparably mediocre. Meh.
  21. Hrm. You think that the buckets will continue to accumulate into your bank, or does this just fill up your empty buckets? Making glass vials here would be sweet if you had 400+ free sands every week. This could be a big boon to the herblorists, as vial prices should drop. Big Net fishing is about to go out of control!
  22. - If you accept a picture of what you want to buy, with a little number under it for hard cash. - You see a cat in a pet store, thinking yeah, I'd kick you to the curb for 100 deaths... - Every time you see a picture of a chicken, you think about how many feathers you could get from him. - You go to Burger King, see their stack of paper hats, and assume them the richest people on earth.
  23. Agility is pretty bad, but if you go with a friend, it isn't the end of the world. You can chat a good deal, and glance at forums etc. during the long stretches. Granted I'm still pretty bad (level 41), but agility is SUCH a payoff... to be able to run for longer times is just an amazing advantage when doing quests and such and such.
