  1. Woot! I really hope I'll win. btw i have a question... if someone wins... how much time do they got to choose a custom rank? hope ill have the answer soon! thanks, ~Gradeskip93~ There is no "expiration date" to picking your custom rank. So if you're on vacation when you win, are offline for a few days, or want a couple days to think about it, that's fine. The problem with "end of the day" is that it's different for everybody ;) In fact, it's already January 11th for people in some parts of the world. So the contest ended at about the same time it began (it started at 3pm GMT-8 on January 3rd and ended at about 3pm GMT-8 on January 10th).
  2. Please post your request for a partner in the above sticky ;)
  3. Lmao :P Well we're going to spend at least a couple days reviewing entries and deciding on the winners. I don't have an exact date for you, but at least a few days. ---------- The contest is now closed. Thank you to everyone who participated! Anymore entries that are sent in will not be accepted. As stated above, it will be a couple more days until the winners are announced, as we have to review each entry and choose the three best. So hang in there and keep your fingers crossed!
  4. Lol oops! :XD: It's been a long day. Fixed now.
  5. Yes we do have a proxy blocker, but that doesn't catch all of them. ----------------- I've never been one who likes post requirements in order to do certain things. Sure we could have a post requirement to post images, but I don't doubt that the people who were going to spam porn switch to something they can do like excessive swearing.
  6. The staff does use IP bans regularly with our most problematic users. But you seem to be making the assumption that people cannot/do not use proxies. Even if we IP ban someone, they can use a proxy to get around that ban. And porn, keyloggers, etc. cannot be "stopped" by IP banning. It seems like you're making the assumption that all this is coming from one person, which it isn't. We have (different) random morons who sign up every day so they can get a laugh (on their end  ) by spamming the forum with one thing or another. Even if we IP ban one person and they do not use a proxy, that doesn't stop someone else from signing up the next day and spamming the same thing.
  7. Either way, I don't really see this as a matter of extreme importance. Sure people are probably just doing it to increase their post count, but whatever. It's silly to obsess over post count, but it's also silly to obsess over people obsessing over their post count :anxious: As long as they're not posting jibberish and are making an attempt to help out (even if it's not necessary), it's not really an issue in my opinion.
  8. Congratulations :) If you wish to repost your accomplishment (and I'm sure many people would appreciate a picture), you may do so in the Rate This subforum.
  9. Oh goody, now I know where half the spammy images that get posted on TIF come from :-X Locking this as the website is just inappropriate from what I can tell, and is therefore not suitable on a G-rated forum.
  10. Locking this as it is not a game. Since no rules/guidelines were posted, a wizjany stated, this is simply just spam. If you wish to participate in a "1337-speaking" game, use one of the above links.
  11. Back when I actually played: 3 hours a day Monday - Thursday and 5-8 hours on the weekend. I quit over the summer though (after taking seversl 4-6 month breaks and coming back in between).
  12. Locked on author's request.
  13. And you're definitely not helping things now. Last time before you start seeing consequences: knock it off (all of you).
  14. Honestly guys, knock it off. And keep it clean.
  15. Wow Secret Window much? :anxious: I don't really have any elaborate stories.. then again I'm sure I'll think of one as soon as I log off and go to bed :P
  16. In regards to post count - we've had this discussion a lot, heheh. We took a poll a while back and most people said that they would like the post count to stay, which is why it's still here.

Locked - thread closed/wrong forum. For those interested, it has been reposted here: WANT A SIG?
  18. Haha I agree 100%!! Burn/dodge is really evil. It's far too difficult to control. If you just use various shades/colours of brushes, it makes life a lot easier. It's much easier to work in layers, you can go back and change things later, etc. The only time I ever use the dodge tool is to add some final highlights at the very end. Hair is really tricky to draw in general, at least for me. In fact, it's one of the hardest things to learn from a tutorial (again, in my opinion). Practice will really make perfect with this :D It looks pretty good so far - keep it up! I really like this tutorial for the basics of painting hair: Hair Tutorial. It gives you the basic idea of shading and uses brush sizes to your advantage.
  19. Hate to break up the game guys, but this one never works out :( We have had a couple in the past and after a certain point, the quotes get so large that the page will no longer load.
  20. What he said :D That sticky should explain everything from how to take a screenshot to uploading it to how to post it on the forum! I'm a fan of Imageshack myself.
  21. I'm not so sure, an UK study showed that students in schools in the UK are more likely to pick A or B on a multiple answer question for the very reason that they're the first ones they read. In my opinion it's always best to go for broke and enter early just in case. Edit: Did I mention that the ST sig is awesome. I'm not sure that example would apply for the way that we judge these ;) We have a pretty good method, at least I like to think so. As for me personally, I always read every single entry ;) and thanks!
  22. It's a real pain when you've already sent it in and think of a better one later :wall: :wall: :wall: That's why I'm always the kind of person who sends one in right before the deadline :) In contests like these, getting it in early doesn't give you any advantages. Always wait until the last minute (unless you think you'll forget, I guess), so you have plenty of time to think of the best entry you can :)
  23. I haven't been on RS in months :-w You can resend the same slogan in the proper format (and please leave a message saying that you're resending it in), but if it's a different slogan than it will not be accepted :(
  24. While it can be frustrating, there isn't really a whole lot we can do (at least not that I can think of). At least they are answering a question (even if it has already been answered) and aren't just spamming.
  25. Protests typically don't work and Jagex has already made it clear that they are not changing it back. If you would like to set up an event anyway, the place for that is the Tip.iters RuneScape Events forum.
