  1. By abused, we mean that you get threads like: Do you prefer Dragon Scimitar or Abyssal Whip? What looks cooler: Full Dragon or Full 3rd Age? What do you prefer: Coke or Sprite? Which do you visit more often: Varrock or Falador? Do you like Nike or Converse more? We're already starting to get more and more poll-type threads. But if we actually enabled the poll feature, people would just vote instead of replying, which decreases the chance of discussion even more. Right now polls are set up by moderators or administrators when they are necessary (like sig battles in The Gallery subforum and things like that). But as eyehawk78 said, polls used to be able to be created by regular users. But so many of those pretty much pointless threads were created that the option was taken away. You can still have a poll created for you by contacting a moderator. We'll set one up if we feel it's necessary.
  2. Locking this because unfortunately, this isn't a PK or stake that you are sharing with us. It is an experience that you had while you were in the wild. But you didn't actually kill someone, you simply found a death pile laying around.
  3. Monsters in player owned houses do not drop items (not even bones) and do not give combat experience.
  4. I would recommend runecrafting nature runes. It's the best reliable, consistent money-maker that is (so that excludes things like merchanting, staking, DKing, etc.). You get an average of 250k - 1m gp per hour (depends on your runecrafting level). Get 44 runecrafting first (I would recommend making fire rings, using dueling rings to teleport closer to the altar), then you can start making nature runes in the abyssal space.
  5. 1. Do oak. You'll get logs quicker (most likely) and it will be a lot cheaper. 2. Whatever takes you less time: buying logs and planking them OR making gp. My guess would be that buying logs and planking them would take you less time (unless you find a better money-maker).
  6. A very long time, to put it plainly. It will take a long time to buy ~200k oak logs from the general store. It will take a long time to then turn those 200k logs into planks. And it will also take a while to then actually use the logs. It will cost you somewhere between 50 and 80m to pay for 99 construction. If I understood you correctly, you make 80k gp an hour by spinning flax? Then it will take you about 812 hours to make 65m gp, which is 203 days (nearly 7 months), assuming you play RuneScape 4 hours a day. So that's already 7 months, and that's excluding the time it takes to buy the logs, plank them and eventually use them.
  7. Locked on author's request. Congrats on 99, by the way :)
  8. Hiya! Welcome back Leesters :) *chuckles* To surpass the popularity of the Archives of Wisdom has been my intention this whole time!!! Mwahahahha!! :anxious: Well I don't get how you don't like it  Thanks!! Wow!! Now that's a discount!! I'd love them! Here's my "review" that I posted on the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows thread in OT: [hide=HP Spoiler]Wow. There is absolutely no way that the future movie will ever do that book justice. Unless of course they decided to delicately craft a 7 hour movie, which is unlikely. Overall, I thought the book was amazing. It was fun to see everything from previous books finally connect and make sense. I was deeply upset by all the deaths in the book (except Mad Eye's.. I admit that didn't seem to affect me much), including Hedwig's. The way Dobby died was simply devastating.. how he bravely showed up to rescue Harry and his friends, but ended up dying in the process. Then of course Lupin and Tonks. I immediately thought of Harry when we learned that Teddy would become an orphan, which was upsetting. And I would have loved to find out more about what became of George and the joke shop in the epilogue (despite Fred's death, did George continue with it?). Even if it was cliche, I loved the ending. Everything that was revealed at the end proved how carefully crafted the entire series was. It was great how Harry made Voldemort look like an ignorant fool before he died. In addition to what became of George and the joke shop, I would have loved to have known about everyone's occupations in the end. Did Harry turn out to be an auror after all? Did Hermione end up taking SPEW further, like she aspired to do? Did Harry ever see the Dursleys again? Those are kind of my jumbled thoughts pouring out in no particular order :P[/hide] In short.. I loved it!! O noes, dont split up pl0x Jokes :P  Rofl well that's one way to interpret it! Thanks so much!!! Have fun finishing it! Reading that book was so much fun!! Feel free to post your "review" here when you're done (in hide tags please!), I love reading what people think about it! I've read every single person's review on the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows thread in the Off-Topic forum *blush* And I agree - I definitely think that book 7 is my favourite!!
  9. As long as you're still at the computer, doing all the work, it is perfectly fine. You can sit at the computer with two windows open - one of RuneScape and the other of another website (forums, YouTube, whatever it is people look at these days). While it's not really AFK training, people often use that term as slang to define that certain action. You cannot click a monster, place a heavy object on the keyboard to leave you logged in, and leave the computer to do something else while your character trains.
  10. 55m straight gp.. bought a white phat with it :P
  11. Tip.it does not support luring of any kind (except for the PKing tactic), as we consider it to be item scamming.
  12. 2.4 You are a liberal airhead.

  14. ^^ Therefore, there's not much of a point to have this open any longer
  15. Please first scan the Price List Overview. If your item is not there, or you feel the price is out of date (though it was updated by myself a few short weeks ago), you may then post a price check on the following thread: Price Checks - Post Your Price Checks Here. Good luck :)
  16. Aw thank you so much! :D I appreciate the compliments, hehe (and you taking the time to post!). Awesome!! I loved it! -gleams- Thanks so much! I'm looking forward to my completed house too! Aww I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope you're feeling better now? Yea, I was til I ate that Ice Cream And Harry Potter is 607 pages here, I should know, I spent like 8 hours reading them all today :P Very good ending, thought some of those things would happen! Aww:( Hehe 759 pages here. I agree, I thought it was wonderful! Here are my three normal gardens: I actually don't like gazebo's that much. They're pretty rusty looking. I do have a picture of my large fountain, but not a posh one: The major difference between large and posh fountains is that the large fountain shows a lot more water. It has two "levels," both of which contain water, and it shoots more water up in the air. Whereas the posh fountain is more like a big cement hole with water inside of it, but you can hardly see it. I like fountains because they're supposed to display water, not concrete Haha that's true. Dork and I are just lazy :uhh: Two things.. For starters, why do you have two chapels? If that was intentional, it won't work =/ You'll notice that the southern chapel doesn't have a door connecting to the junction. So that will need fixing. Haha my Harry Potter obsession is intense! Thanks for the bump!! noob ROFL XD -blush- I haven't been on  DUSTY!?! ON A BREAK!?!?! Thanks so much!! :D lol she's still got a bit of catching up to do (9 levels) Yeah :P So why are you on a break Dusty? Yep, Dork and I finished! It was great~!
  17. There are a few potions that have the potential of being profitable, super sets included. But the thing you have to know about herblore is that the industry is a big home for merchants. Most of the time, the only place that you will find herbs at the price you're looking for in order to make a profit, is from people who farm the herbs or get them from drops. They may offer you good prices for their herbs, but they sell in very small amounts (5-200, most of the time. Any more than that and they get more expensive). As I said before, most of the herb sellers are merchants. They will sell you herbs in huge quantities (1k - 50k, or even more). But with those huge quantities come huge prices. But since the merchants pretty much take over the herblore industry, they're not even considered over-priced, but almost at the "regular" price. So if you want to earn any gp with herblore, you have to buy herbs in very small quantities. That causes you to have to spend days, weeks or even months buying herbs from users. Then you have to take into consideration the huge supply of potions in the herblore market. That makes it very difficult to sell potions unless they're insanely under priced. Most people only buy potions in quantities of 5-50 (normal amount is usually around 20), unless they're insanely under-priced. Because you spend so much time buying and selling, that makes the whole process extremely slow, which in turn makes earning gp extremely slow with that skill. Battlestaves are also pretty slow actually, I used to make them myself. The whole process is very long and tiring. The best way to make gp using skills would be runecrafting nature runes. That's the best profit that you're going to get. I can tell you this from personal experience. Runecrafting is what got me 99 construction (and I got that before I was 91+ runecrafting). Runecrafting is also what got me 91 prayer and 99 herblore. I'm sure that anyone else who offers you gp-making advice will also refer you to runecrafting. Other than that, you'll probably be looking at making 100k an hour (instead of the 300k - 1m an hour with runecrafting).
  18. I'm a bit unsure as to what your question is :? If I understand you correctly, you're looking to make 52m using herblore, so that you can buy full third age range armour? If that's the case (please correct me if I'm mistaken), then I'm not sure how possible that is. Herblore is not a skill where you make gp. If you manage to make gp at all, it's because you farm your own herbs and/or gather your own second ingredients... which takes ages. There are much faster, more efficient ways to make gp. In fact, most people lose (not earn) 50m - 150m getting to 99 herblore. If you wanted to make gp, I would recommend runecrafting for it. Runecrafting is the most efficient and reliable way to earn gp (other good options include staking, merchanting, Barrows and DKing, but none of which are incredibly reliable or consistent).
  19. Please refrain from typing in all caps. It's rather irksome to read
  20. ^^ What Kiara said  It would be a big help to our crew team if you reported all the errors that you came across in the forum that Kiara_Kat so kindly linked you to! That way our crew team can review the errors and make the appropriate corrections. I'm sure that they will be very grateful when you present them with your information.
  21. I've reviewed the thread that caused this trouble to begin with, and I agree with Phil in saying that the motivation behind you making this thread is because you're unhappy with one of the moderators. If that is the case, then you shouldn't have brought this matter here at all, but rather contact an administrator about it. Although I agree with what Ard_Choille said: "You all want us to be flexible, so we do it. When we get flexible, you ream us for not enforcing the rules." If that was meant to be public knowledge, I'm sure Phil would have had no problem answering your question. I don't mean to sound harsh, but maybe you have a different view of moderator qualifications than the people who actually choose them. Picking moderators isn't exactly an easy process. And the administrators may even know something about someone that you do not. I hardly see how that can be true. We're not here to tell them how to play the game.. Whether someone is playing RuneScape 2, RuneScape Classic, or not playing either, they still all have to uphold a certain attitude on our forum, which is essentially what moderating is all about. Like Phil said, the people assigned to the forum aren't the only ones who moderate there - global moderators do help out everywhere if/when it's necessary. If there is a thread that needs locking in the RSC forum, I'm not just going to leave it there because you'd rather someone who plays RSC come and handle it. And most importantly, you guys definitely shouldn't just ignore all problems in hopes that we'll come trotting along to handle it. If you see an inappropriate post or a problematic thread, you should report it straight away and not just assume that a moderator will see it. And if you would like clarification on why a certain thread was locked, PM the moderator who locked it. Or if you disagree with the lock all together, PM an administrator about it. If you want the moderation to improve in a forum, there's no reason why you can't help it improve by taking a few simple measures.
  22. I agree with misterxman. When you look at the two different forums (T&C and the Video Game subforum), they're quite different. T&C contains serious questions about technology itself. Whereas the discussions in Video Games & Consoles do not revolve around technology. Video games may be a part of technology, but they're not talking about the technology aspect of it, but rather the plot and content of the game. But if you take a look at T&C, it's just all about asking for help about "why does my computer keep crashing?" and things like that. I agree with misterxman in saying that it works fine as it is now, and since it does, there's no need to fix it.
  23. That's enough with the flaming please :wall: You may give an honest rating, whether it's high or low, but rude comments accusing him of lying or having no life (or anything of the sort) are completely unnecessary and inappropriate.
  24. Knock it off you guys. The last thing I want is a seemingly debateless thread to turn into an angry, pathetic flame war.
  25. I'm not quite sure what's going on with you two, but that's enough :shame:
