  2. I think one of the main reasons that nobody has mentioned the word "fun" is because we don't exactly know what the author finds to be enjoyable. Personally, I love runecrafting, I think it's fun. On the contrary, I hate combat/slayer, so I would obviously prefer runecrafting. However, someone such as yourself, who finds slayer/combat to be enjoyable, getting 85 slayer might be a better idea, despite all the arguments that I previously made.

  4. Fantastic article. That pretty much sums it up :)
  5. I'd have to say 93 construction :)
  6. It depends on a lot of things, in my personal opinion, no, it is not. Why? 1) It is not constant money. Some people go weeks without getting a single whip. Then, the next week, they could get 10 whips that week. It's completely unpredictable, and therefore, I feel as if I have no control over how much gp I'm making. 2) Typically, runecrafting is much better money. I make a constant 700k gp per hour, whereas with Slayer, you could make 2.2m an hour, or, more likely, make 0 gp an hour. 3) Most of the people with 85 slayer spent 1-3 months training to get level 85. Lets think about this logically. Whips will always continue to drop, that's the way it is. In 1-3 months, I predict that whips will drop somewhere between 100k and 600k gp. There will be a point, several months from now, where Abyssals won't even be worth killing at all, because whips will be under 1m. 4) Now that we've discussed the time it will take to get 85 slayer, lets consider the money it will take. If you plan on getting 85 slayer in under a month, you're going to have to spend some gp. Take into consideration the amount of gp you will have to spend on cannonballs, food, armour, weapons, super sets, arrows/runes (if you decide to use range or mage) and any other items you may use. Obviously, it is possible to get 85 slayer without the assistance of a cannon/cannonballs (which are the most costly items, I'd say) and Guthans, but it will take a lot closer to 3 months. In conclusion, factoring in the amount of time it will take, the fact that at some point, your 85 slayer will be worthless and other matters, no, I do not think it is worth it. Especially when typically, runecrafting is better money anyway, and probably always will be.
  7. I've always liked the Sceptre teleport :)
  8. Well it was addictive for me  I hated the skill, and was level... 60 or so. Then in three months time, I shot up to 84 by making my own nats  And wow, I am surprised you stayed in the top 21 for two months. Let alone only dropped 2 ranks. Going by that information, you should have no problems staying in the top 21 for a while :) Again, good luck!
  9. Sounds like a good plan :) But try to stay in the top 21! =P~ Good luck with runecrafting :) I must warn you, it's quite an addictive skill
  10. On the contrary, pure essence had a huge impact on runecrafters. People went from having to spend 25 gp on essence, to 110 gp on pure essence, so it reduced their profit by 85 gp. That basically knocked off 1/4th of the gp they make. As any hardcore runecrafter would know, that's a lot. I now make almost 200k gp less per hour than I was making before rune essence came out. I think you can all agree, that 200k gp is a big difference (went from 700k to 500k, more or less). So yes, any runecrafter would know that pure essence had a huge impact. I have several friends who quit runecrafting all together since their profit decreased by so much.
  11. Zzzamorak? :P Anyway, terrific stats and best of luck with all your goals :) Go for top 10 herbalists? =P~
  12. And I've had three or four from 77-81 :-k
  13. How'd you get 37.2k nests?
  14. *Jumps in* Ah ha! That's where your wrong missy :D I got a friend that organizes her pouches that way.. *Looks at post* It's a girl thing huh... It must be! :-k Maybe I should take a poll :D
  15. Bunny Ears!!! =P~ I'm starting to believe that I'm the only person who arranges my pouches from smallest to largest.. :anxious:
  16. Make 23m gp, then get a Demonic Throne :3>
  17. So you don't have to sit there and click remove and rebuild when you could simply have them go to inventory Actually, if you already have all your planks, building/removing is the fastest way. Flatpacking is much slower. But, if you are doing one load at a time then flatacking is faster. Why? Because you won't have to load the house, then load building mode. ;)
  18. Yes, but any serious rcer wouldn't do that because time is always a factor. And loading your house/the extra, unnecessary teles all contribute to slowing you down and minimizing the xp/nats you make per hour :P Pretty good guide. I don't make my own planks, but for those who do, it's a good idea.
  19. Same.. I've crafted 350k+ nats in the abyss now and I've never seen it.. Then again, I may just have missed it. My mind is always in "auto pilot rc mode" so I don't really pay much attention to what I'm doing.. I just do it
  20. You're catching up to me!!! :ohnoes: I best get runecrafting!
