  1. Why can't we have some "light" topics? Not everything has to be about "uber-important" stuff.
  2. I bought my onyx ring about 3 weeks ago for 46m (around 6m for the onyx ring, and 40m junk with it). I think I got pretty lucky though, since Bladewing says they are 90m now :o.
  3. I'm getting more and more lag in w117, it's getting very annoying. I can't seem to be able to do a dungeon without DC'ing at least once now it seems. Also had the "error game crash" once. One of the pros said it's because the guy tried to do an agility room on his own or something.
  4. I didn't know it had defensive stats :o. At first I thought it was completely worthless. With those stats it gets at least a little better :-)
  5. But think of the possibilities of being ambidextrous! Double crossbow bolt barrage, anyone? DOUBLE DDS SPEC OMFG NEW CLAWS. DOUBLE WHIPS OMFG. DOUBLE SHIELDS OMFG. THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS! Double elemental staves! Steam in one hand, lava in the other! Now that's just crazy talk. Anyway, I'm done with this thread. Stupid thread is stupid. Nice fletching lvl.
  6. My average seems to be 3 hours a day according to my adventurers log.
  7. Kind of like this? (don't laugh with the "not for sale", I was paranoid back then about people selling my account by just using my pictures). (end of 2004 by the way. I remember being rank 2-3k with 70 crafting :-)). One or two years later:
  8. Wtf. The last thing I would think of when someone sees me playing Runescape is "Oh noes, they will see I'm looking for penguins hiding in a bush, now they will laugh at me in school". If anything, I think they'd find it funny. Now more on topic: Is this our weekly update? :( Is this me, or we really haven't had any good updates since dungeoneering? (I know I'm overlooking a few quests and whatnot here, but for me personally, I haven't had the feeling there has been any update affecting me since dungeoneering). I'm normally not the guy to complain, In fact, I wouldn't mind monthly or even yearly updates, when they would be more thought out and bugfree. However, now it seems we are getting updates less frequent, and when they occur they're still not that special/well thought out/... I might be making conclusion too fast though, so please don't quote me on this, just thinking aloud.
  9. Wtf, why are we arguing over the definition of an invented runescape-word.
  10. I was f2p for over 2 years. When I got members, I did all quests in the first 3-5 months. Helped me to get to know the world, and was also pretty useful (could do wgs when it came out for instance)
  11. I wanna try this too. How do you manage your health? Can't soul split when a 360 is around... You have any tactics to work around this? Also, I guess you protect melee on the 180s? Or plain soul splitting?
  12. Guys, he doesn't care about effectiveness. So basically, he's just asking which of those 2 gives him the most "e-respect". Well, none tbh.
  13. Yeah, I heard this theory from a w2 camping friend of mine. She told me that Phats updates after 2 are sold on ge while regular items updates after 100 are sold. That would explain why Divine updates like once a year while Phats updates once a week. P.S. Just to clarify - It means that at the regular time period of GE updates, it checks how many of those items are sold to decide if it should update or not. Kind of like an If then statement (not sure if I got that right, only took C# for 1 semester back in high school) Bladewing wasn't talking about individual items, if I got this right. He means: If x items (let's say 100 million) are traded (can be ANY item), the GE will perform a GENERAL update. Then, like most people know, it will check individual items to see how much they have to rise/fall. If an individual item hasn't been traded enough (let's say 100 for normal items, like you suggested), it won't update.
  14. That's an interesting theory that would exlpain the complete irregularity of the GE updates.
  15. If you just get them for looks and not effectiveness, get whatever you think that looks the best.
  16. Lol, just checked: Pvp update where they removed protect item prayer.
  17. Okay, when you say "30k an hour pure soloing" what exactly do you mean? Doing all 35 floors the same way? Doing some in different ways? What complexity level and bound items? Also, what strategy are you using? Meaning: kill every monster, kill all monsters except dead ends, kill only monsters in guardian rooms, etc? tortilliachp: This is a discussion board. There's not much to discuss about what Jagex has said about this, which is virtually nothing. The figures are timed by myself doing almost all differant floors(34 differant floors) in 2 patches alone, 2 items bound, C6. I can't reveal all my secrets that concern dungeon efficency and getting a nice level mod even though rushing, you'll just have to learn for yourself, i'm almost certain that there are people who can solo even faster than i can. As far as i can tell, you have quite a bit still to learn about soloing and how to do it fast. "I can't reveal all my secrets". That's pretty arrogant :( I'm not a walking guide, if you want to learn something, go to school. You can call me a liar how many times you want, but when i say i can do dungeons in an average time of 8 minutes 50 seconds and others have reported times anywhere from 8 to 10 minutes(people who know what they are doing, that is) there is hardly anything to lie about, unlesss i paid the other guys, ofcource. Also, yes, i have learned som methods to maximize soloing xp, while not giving a significant xp boost, the extra 2-4k an hour can make all the differance. You'll just have to solo yourself and get to know what's best for you. Not everything has to be delivered on a silver platter. Just FYI, I didn't say I don't believe you,. I'm just wondering if there really are some "secrets", or that those are just mainly using your common sense and experience ( don't wast time killing high lvl monsters but perhaps always kill the lvl 3 monsters since you 1 hit them, yet the still count as one monster, if there are 2 doors, open both first so see if one of them is a dead end with a key you need for the other ones, things like that). It's not like I'm a random nub who is asking for a complete guide on how to solo efficiently ...
  18. Sad to hear that you consider playing castle wars a waste of time. I play it for fun :-) And yeah, joining the team that lost last should get you a win sooner or later
  19. What a troll. You are an idiot bedman. Period. Sorry, couldn't resist :(

  21. I dunno man. If I'd have invested all of my money in santa's last year, I would have surely made more than what I made now (and I still made damn nice buck). Same for the last 1-2 weeks. Had 6 santa's that rose 40m each. While I might have been able to get that in 2 weeks by flipping, it wouldnt have been an easy feat, and much harder than just holding my santas. Of course, rises like the past one wont't happen that much anymore, but still, can't see santas going well below 100m anymore tbh.
  22. It's just that doing a dungeon efficiently with a team that's working well is more fun. Let's compare: You are walking into a guardian room with a lot of high monsters 1) Everyone follows you without you asking and helps to kill them, killing the shades first etc. 2) One or two follow you, one is killing a spider, another one helping the shade. The 2 others are mining, or picking up drops in the other room. You are ht'ing back to base to buy a lyco seed to make an artisan pot for a skill door. When you get back: 1) Your team has left already, knowing that you will clear it and that it's a dead end probably, and they started clearing other rooms already. 2) Your team is mindlessly waiting for you You are the key guy, and you put your gatestone already at some key door of which you don't have the key. You arrive somewhere totally in the corner of the map, a very long walk from the smuggler. 1) One of your team mate suggests to make a gatestone there so he can open it up later, since you already used yours (you mentioned that before). 2) You have to beg them to make one and put it there You are looking for an altar to get ready for the boss fights. In the mean time: 1) One guy had a gatestone there, so he has time left and planted lyco, and made venge runes and is handing out melee pots and venge runes. The others made sure they were stocked on food, and recharged their prayer 2) They all followed you to the altar, then left to fish more, and at the end decided to make pots too (when everyone is actually ready to go). Now, I choose option 1 any time. While it might be fun to do it a bit more relaxing with friends, it's not that fun to do it with random strangers. Secondly, IMO it's even more fun to do it really smooth with friends (as in, you know them very well, so everyone has his role, and can kind of predict what the other will do)
  23. Sorry but that idea is completely rubbish. I don't see how this article could have prevented anything? It's been known for ages that rares are susceptible to manipulation. Thing is, when something is manipulated, it's hard to predict what's going to happen, unless you are on of the manipulators. That's the whole point of manipulation, lieing/making secret agreements/... in order to have information others don't and use this to your advantage. If manipulation became totally predictable, it wouldn't work anymore.
  24. Sorry to troll, but I don't understand you at all. You really *like* gaining 99 cooking, fletching, firemaking and woodcutting in a row? Seems pretty damn boring to me honestly. But yeah, you are doing something wrong. It should be 150k an hour stringing.
