Fire cape and torso are much easier to regain than a chaotic weapon. I completely agree with estoratth: it's like dieieing while ice barraging and having to gain 5m magic xp before being able to use ice barrage again. Not like it should be. I'd say, make it cost like 20m to replace it. Expensive, but reasonable.

85 agility 90 mining 80 hunter 99 slayer and probably some dungeoneering. Item wise, I'm gonna try to get a green phat (got purple now).

Rebalancing would be nice. By rebalancing though, I mean not nerfing the whip, but beefing up the other weapons to make them comparable to the whip. Just make it more like dungeoneering, where crush/slash/stab does make a difference. For now this is only the case for fiends and metal drags

You can also try to get insider information when Jagex decides to make an item rise 5000%

Tortoises are not far from a bank, are pretty good money, and never crowded. Probably not as good as green drags, but I'm pretty sure it's better xp per hour, and you don't have to deal with crowds.

Still haven't decided.. I'm thinking CLS though. 75/25 CLS/C Rapier You boss a lot (or used to) So I'd lean more towards LS for you as well. I'd definitely pick CLS for Bandosing again, but I keep hearing how the rapier is so amazing.. Don't know for what though. I wouldnt put down a rapier for Bandos, before you tried ti. People already used whip in stead of godsword before. Rapier is just a buffed whip, so I can't see it being much worse, if not better, than the longsword. -

Nice tips on money making, but it doesn't make herblore cheaper, in fact probably more expensive since you are compromising, you aren't farming the most profitable herb, nor are you making the most cost effective pots.

I'm pretty sure unique drops are on another wheel anyway, so "it could have been ... drop" is wrong I think.

I got a rapier, so I think melee'ing will make it quite a bit faster. I will ranged the 360s though. I will also be using overloads. Hope it doesnt complicate things too much.

Seems quite paradoxal to me. How can you enjoy something you are not really doing? You mean you enjoy browsing forums or watching vids? -
You were mistaken. He meant that you shouldn't train dungeoneering once you have rapier, scrolls of life and arcane stream, because there are only 35 floors and xp/h is less than it will be when batch 2 comes out.

depending on the situation. that is the crucial thing. Increase attack from the slayer helmet, extreme potions, overlords, increased defence of a boss instead of a player, predictable high damage in a specific hit (that's a spec weapon) etc. they're certainly not the same, there is definitely more than looks to go by. I'd say a boss has lower defence than a player. You hit LOTS of zeroes against a player. I don't do Bandos, but I can't see it being this bad there too.

Allright guys, me and lugia tested Rapier vs. CLS. We were wearing Neit Bandos chest Bandos tassets Fury Dragon boots Fire cape Barrow gloves Warrior ring / Diamond ring (i) CLS / Rapier We were using turmoil the entire fight, with no food and no pots. The outcome was 20 - 18, with CLS being the winner. It was a pretty weird test though. Rapier started out winning by 5 -0, lowering to 12 - 6, and then losing 8 times in a row (12 - 14). Show luck plays a HUGE factor here. All in all it seems there is only very little difference. With overloads, rapier would probably get a slight advantage, but even then I'd say things are pretty balanced out, for pvp DPS that is. I also tallied my zero or non zero hits for 3 kills. 3 kills doenst say anything but I'l post anyway: 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 (dead, really bad fight) 0 1 1 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 1 (think I won this one) 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 1 (think I lost this one) This clearly show, even with the small sample size (and I might not have tallied the rest, but I can tell you that it's quite a bit of zeroes), that hits were still very inaccurate, I think you can be much more accurate on bandos, so I would conclude from this test that Rapier is probably better at Bandos.

You forgot to add defence there. Apperently (according to Latin and some other people), the strong point of magic is its accuracy, which plays a large role in pvp.

I mean that a guy in maxed mage gear is able to do most DPS against a guy ranger/mager (and meleeer obviously) compared to what a meleeer can do against a mager/meleer/ranger. Even against someone in full karil's, mage is still incredibely accurate. Cant say that about a rapier against barrows + dfs.

Yet magic completely destroys range, obviously a problem there. I don't think you pk much if you think that is true. If you run around the wilderness for awhile, you will come across many rag rangers, who risk 100k and still dominate mages, arcane or not. So no, magic doesn't completely destroy range, if anything it's finally closer to equal, and isn't that what everyone has been whining about for the past 3 years? Christ some people are never satisfied. LOL obviously you have no idea what you are talking about since a good mage will DESTROY any ranger. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about, A maxed ranger will own a maxed mage every time, even if the mage tries to spell stack. Woopity, mages can hit 400+ now, really not a big deal, considering range can hit 700+ and even more with specials. The dps is NEAR what it should be, but it's not OP. So again, stop complaining, and don't say I don't know anything when you clearly don't know who I am. Range might have higher max hits, Magic has the highest DPS IN GAME. (in pvp, in the long run, not talking about lucky hits, what pvp is actually about though)

Such a small sample size is irrelevant in any case. I mean, that were maybe 50 hits? That's nothing to draw conclusions from. It does show however that a rapier, allthough it doesn't hti as high, might be better for outhitting someone because you can only eat once every attack turn (and twice with the longsword)

I've only done some stupid sales I regret (Divine and White phat before they got bought out). Never really died for substantial losses, nor made some mistakes like your onyx one (which made me chuckle).

Still, 6 min chests with slayer dart or fire wave seems unlikely IMO. (that is: including running to the barrows etc, so I mean 24 min for a 4 chest trip, where you start timing once you leave the bank, and stop timing once you are back in the bank with restocked gear). About shadow spells: Let's assume you use 25 spells per chest. That's roughly 250 casts an hour = 500k. Substantial, but no where near 800k. Also, using the same 250 casts an hour for fire surge: this would imply that you get over 300 xp per cast, again far from the actual value. edit: found some other false numbers: You mention getting 1.5k magic experience per brother with air surge. Air surge hits 220 max, so let' assume 110 on average. That's 75 + 22 xp, roughly 100 xp per cast. Now, one brother has 1000 LP, so that's 9-10 casts each. That amount to a total of 900-1000 xp per brother, not 1.5k like you suggested. Also, a suggestion: Always use SOL, also for fire wave. First and most importantly, it has 15% damage boost, which is ALWAYS an advanatge. Besides it's extra damage effect, the rune saving effect will save you more money than an air staff will save you airs, or very close to it.

This. Bandos is nub though. That's what I said. And yeah, try to get nomads cape and regen bracelet, or optimally, barrow gloves (do RFD)
