True. Somehow I don't mind the clicking at TD's though (and do mind the clicking for banking, filling cannon, flicking soul split, and attacking new monsters). Also, is it me, or did soul split flickering get more annoying because of the wall of text it has now.

Very nice guide, I enojoyed reading it. I'm about to get 85 dungeoneering so I might try it out. Constant soul split flicking sounds a bit tiresome though, especially when having to pick up drops, load up cannon and send bones home. We'll see how it goes :-)

Little pro tip for when you are farming papaya (and you'd be stupid not too IMO, great xp, cheap protection, and the fruits give a lot of your investment back, esp with ent): Bring karamja achievement gloves and talk to Del Monti (on your way to calquat) for free pineapples. You get 40 (noted), which is nearly enough to cover all of your protection.

I used edge to bank and didn't get too much trouble. Just don't wear anything but your gloves so you won't lose em. Use air and dust rune to teleport, withdraw one pair each time at the end, after you have filled your yak. (I even do this on non pvp to be able to bring 2 more bones). Start with tinderbox, withdraw 27 bones, put in yak, withdraw 2 marrentil, 1 dust, 1 law, 23 bones, tele.

16 minutes is insane. How can you get enough food in that time for the boss, with all the rooms full of agressive monsters

Dzihouchan is right I think. Claws, godswords, they were all crashing too. Herbs and seeds are crashign for another reason, panicking due to new chaos druids and ranarr spawns. (and seeds can only be bought by the 100s now. Any idea how this affects torstols, since they seem to keep dropping?)

Very true. I used to wear v skirt + bcp + sw cape, but then figured out the extra 3 prayer from Verac skirt really doesn't make all thatm uch of a difference, and I don't need the def either. Later, when I got a rapier, I also started wearing ardy cape on high def tasks for the stab bonus (dark beasts, abbies, wyverns, steel drags, ...)

I stopped using a unicorn since I got a yak and soul split. 96 is the new 88 :-)

Also, killing them with maxed melees isn't the same as with 50 att and str (allthough the difference will be not too big due to their low hp and def). Or something really,really right ;) The current best moneymaker seems to be frost dragons with 4m an hour at little risk, but requires ridiculous levels for most people. Boss hunting is always high risk with good profit assuming average luck, but you need experience in it. Most noncombat moneymakers don't get anywhere near combat, but are low risk with guaranteed money gains. Slayer is most likely the most popular moneymaker, if you have good stats and have the right equipment, using turmoil/extremes will actually make you more money in the long run(as your killing speed increases dramatically). True to that. It's the cannon that's so costly. Turmoil and extremes are both very much worth it IMO, and same goes for steel titan and its scrolls.

Actually, it seems all high end items are crashing since about yesterday or the day before. Bandos, godswords, claws, dfs, all down down. Any explanations? Summer "end" crash coming sooner and sooner? Will they rebound with all the excess cash around? More specifically, with all the freed up cash, will people pick on the low-end rares again? Santa's already picked up again, will h'weens follow soon? I'm not sure wether to sell my red h'ween, which just updated, for min or not? Any advice?

Well, I must admit I was perhaps a bit too enthousiastic in my report about it, but it still works very decent. I have tried godswording too a long time ago, and didn't like it, but that was without overloads and turmoil. Did you use turmoil and extremes? I think turmoil plays a huge role, and is definitely worth sipping a dose of prayer for, especially since they are so cheap lately. Lugia reported that CLS worked very well too, so I can't really say which is best, but I cán say that Rapier works very well. By the way, I also tried a bandos setup afterwards (the one Lugia showed more or lessà, and it worked very well too. With that setup you can soul split the brothers and heal up a bit while you're still up there (from 490 (overload) to 800+). This way you barely use food, but of course you are open for lucky streaks from the bro's, which can happen from time to time. Darthvora, your case is a bit complex I'd say. CLS would be a good option because the high att bonuses make up for your "low" attack lvl, and low attack boost (no turmoil and overloads/ xtremes). On the other hand, a chaotic rapier is THE weapon which is best to max out your melee stats. I'm sometimes a bit sad that rapier only came out when I was already maxed. I was "lucky" I still hadn't maxed slayer, cause otherwise the choice might have been tougher. (I guess I would have picked the maul then).

The level 1 upgrade is 135 tokens, so you can upgrade few things (berserker mainly) level 1 = +11% str bonus level 10 = +20% If you don;t want to spend a lot of tokens the level 1s are just perfect, Yep, lvl 1 is the most cost effective. Even though I barely ever use ranged, I bought the lvl 1 desparado. It's 135 tokens for a 11% boost, which is surely worth it IMO for the few times I use it at a boss. Now I just have to make sure to think about changing the style when I need to.

I'm going to be doing rushes to 1-20 on 1-3, then c6 smalls for 20-25 and then 25-30 solo medium c6s That's the best exp for me imo. Soloing at least. Solo meds are apparently 40-50K xp/hr at maxed prestige However, larges are now probably consistently 20 minutes with pro teams and 40 with average teams Just did a large with dg elites, and it went rather slow. All of us were new to the update though, so I yes, it will probably be another 5-10 min faster than usual.

maybe against bosses, but the boss attacking slower won't really help you kill it quicker =\ the defense draining ability for the ranger seems like it'd be better for bosses, that don't have particular weaknesses. Desperado is pretty nice too. + 11% ranged on the mode I normally use (rapid) for only 135 tokens. Lvl 1 is the most useful for sure. After lvl one it only gets more expensive, and les rewarding (150 something tokens for an extra %). I'd say it wouldn't hurt to get lvl 1 or 2 in everything, you never know when it comes in handy and it's darn cheap.

Too bad we all know damn well that neither accuracy nor max hit are linear functions of attack/strength bonus. Strength isn't overvalued, you can see by looking at the price of a warrior ring that 4 slash attack doesn't matter one damn compared to 4 strength. Price isn't always a good indication of usefulness. Look at the dfs, I barely ever use it, yet it's 35m.

Don't use overloads, as you're simply wasting money. How do you know? There's people like me who trained to 99 with them and have 3k+ of them. I would hardly call using a by product of a lvl'ing skill a waste of money, especially if the lvl'ing is faster than any other way AND cheaper (at the time I used it at least).
