18 To be exact. ;) Is it any good? Longbow is pretty slow, and rune arrows only hit 25s max? -
Sorry for hijacking but i'm in complete awe of your lvl 76 :) what are the most important features to "doing it right"? i'm finding xp pretty slow doing complexity 6 on solo although i certainly am enjoying it...seems to be a skill designed for the multi-skiller. That's what you're doing wrong. Pfft, he's low lvled, things don't matter that much then. When you do get higher lvled though, try to do teams. 5:5 small dungeons are pretty good xp and quite quick (10-15min). You can do this to clear floors 1-29. Then you can do the last 6 floors on a large map, to get 40k+ xp each floor. Xp is quite slow in the beginning, that's just something you got to get through. Things were getting fast for me once I reached lvl 50+. I used some peng pts and tears of guthix to get 54-59, which made me be able to unlock a few more floors before I reset my prestige. With my new prestige of 31, I'm going to be able to get 61-70+ dung by doing what I explained to you.

I did some rushes today. (5:5 small) First I had a team that cleared all rooms, except for the end rooms. We tried to do most skill doors, made pots if someone had a herb already (not growing seeds for it, that takes too long you know). Went wonderfully well, 6-8k xp for floors 24-29 and we did them in around 15 min. After that I joined another team for 21-23 but these guys just didn't kill anything, except for guardian doors. They claimed it's faster. Well, it was faster, but the bosses were much harder, without any food drops.I died 3 times on stomp for instance. It doesn't help that while running back, you get damaged by all the monsters left in the room. Point is, for me it seemed in the end it isn't faster, cause you get like half xp for maybe 2/3 of the time (actually more like 4/5 cause dieeing and running back takes time...). What do you guys think that is the fastest xp/h? Leave or kill monsters on non end rooms?

Why did you buy the inferior one of the arcane steam necklace? Seems a waste to me? Just train a bit more and get the best one. -
It is because a lot of your hits will be against the small spawns, and not the Nechs. Your slayer helm won't boost the hits against those, while your void wlil.

What about the people that don't want to go? I really like playing Runescape and all, but I would NEVER go to any "real life event". Runescape is a game, those players are some people somewhere around the world and I don't want to meet them. I feel too much of a nerd then :D. -

You can't indeed, that's an annoying bug. I guess it is because it splits your arrows up into poisoned ones and unpoisoned ones, and you can only keep one stack so... That's why you should poison them when you get them, but it was impossible to get enough poison pots to do this. Now it is possible. Just hope I get a saggitarean soon, and some luck to get his arrows again (and 125 again, like I have now). -

i'm kind of hoping they do a rollback to get me my wasted tears back... Should have started with peng pts, you have to click the Dung symbol there :-) -

The thieving guild sounds pretty cool. Now to wait for the update to be released. :? Herb seeds is the best one, don't have to walk around picking up every herb you see now :P Yeah, this is awesome! Now I will also be able to poison ALL of my saggitarean arrows when I get them as a boss drop. Super melee pots every boss is nice too :-). -
Because you are lower lvled, bosses will be easier too. Just play once with a high smith/miner to get gorgonite spear, and you are fine. I really like the "skill". It's varied, challenging, and adapted to your skills.

I want to be able to use my penguin points and tears of guthix on dungeoneering. It's been out 2 weeks now :(.

Not really, at level 50 you get to bind tier 10 spear, platebody and legs, with that amount of gear you can just roflcopter through everything. I would prefer more binding at lower levels, but only if Jagex force you to bind something different from what you are currently binding. For example if I bind a melee weapon, I have to bind range/mage/skill item as my next item. Yep, that's what I suggest too. Maybe do it like this: Lvl 1: Can bind one item (probably either a bow, melee weapon or staff) + a ammo if it is a bow or staff (in the case of staff, you can "bind a spell", for instance 50 casts of fire surge). If you chose to bind a bow or staff, you get to bind the corresponding ammo too, but not if you bind a melee weapon. This way, it's fair for everyone, i.e; , every class can start fighting straight away. You just get to choose one class. Lvl 40: Can bind an extra item of choice (so you could chose spear + platebody, or spear + bow (and arrows automatically) or basically anything). Lvl 60: Can bind an item of an other class (so if you have a spear + platebody bound, you can now bind a bow (and arrows) or a staff (and runes) or a robe top, or ...) Lvl 80: Can bind an item of the last class (so you could have spear, platebody, bow (and arrows) and staff (and rune set) bound). Lvl 100: Can bind an extra item of choice (can be anything). Not sure it this would make things too easy, but I really think mages/rangers should get ammy "for free" with their weaopn, and melee'ers shouldnt (they should not be able to bind a melee weapon and free ammo, unless they want to waste a "binding spot"). This is only fair IMO.

Takes like 5 minutes to make money for zeph, which has been more then enough for me to beat a Behemoth. While I do agree spending an hour making money is worthless (especially since you should be getting stuff for armour through the dungeon anyways), does he really have much of a choice for the Behemoth? 5 minutes is still too long IMO, that's like 30% extra time.

Try to get a glory. Mystic boots are fine, so are rune boots. Boots bonuses won't make the difference. Also try to get some sort of RFD gloves. Adamant shouldn't be too hard.
-
Just 2 things for each class would be nice, but maybe a bit too easy. That would mean: Melee weapon and 1 armour piece Ranged weapon + arrows and 1 armour piece Magic staff + rune set and 1 armour piece

It's crazy how Zarfot manages to do this while not playing *this* much. Or at least, I know he didn't use to play this much. I think in his slayer thread he said he played like 4-6 hours a day. That's still a lot of course, but nothing compared to 10h+ some people are doing.
-
Yep, just do like I did and make a promethium plate + spear once, and bind it. Promethium plate alone is all your need normally.
-
I think actually the knowledge base is wrong about these wards. I mean, +80 attack bonuses for a shield, that's too good... On the spear being the best overall: I guess like others have said that it's mostly for solo. I can imagine that a celestial staff (+30% magic attack and hopefully damage too?) would for instance own in teams, same for a primal 2H or maul. You just need someone to back up your weakness. Ranged however, is just weak IMO. I tried the tier 11 longbow with the tier 11 arrows, and still wasn't impressed at all. Longbow isn't fast at all, and dishing out only 190s at that speed is just poor. Maybe the tier 10 shortbow is better, but still. So far, it's only usefull at some bosses, but that's merely because of the weakness of the other styles, or some practical (running, or monsters having special attacks when you are closeby) issues.

It's RuneScape in a petri dish. Hopefully this mini RS can be tweaked to perfection, after which Jagex can bring the same standards to the outside world. I wonder if spears are overpowered though. In F2P I see a variety of weapons, but at promethium level most melee players seem to use spears. They stated somewhere that they would not alter weapons above ground, as it would have a "significant impact" upon the game play. Yes, a postive significant impact. But I suppose I can't blame them, considering the general reaction of anything new in Runescape. I wouldn't say that Spears are overpowered. It sacrifices a signifcant amount of power in order to gain the ability to use all three of the styles. Most weapons, however, have at least two viable attack options to use, which is generally sufficent in most circumstances (there isn't any monster that resists two attack styles). Those weapons can hit higher and more accurately than the Spear can, especially in the Slash option, diminishing the spear's usefulness. The spear is still a viable option, however, and is recommended frequently to players, which may explain why so many people use it. I think they are overpowerd in the way that shields take a long time to gather, and there isn't such thing as a rune defender to boost the offence of 1-handed weapons. This makes 2handed much more desired in dungeoneering than in the "real" runescape. I personally don't bother with shields, even when I still had a rapier. Also, the str bonus of the spear is actually pretty high, you should check it, it's for instance higher than a warhammer.

Sweet Jesus... Usually when I duo with a friend of mine, it takes us upward of an hour per. :???: But do you play on 2:1 difficulty? (that means you play with 2 people on the difficulty for 1, so it's easier, but it's -7% xp).
-
Lol that's definatelly not correct! A dungeon takes at least 10-15 mins.. So one could do at most 6 dungeons an hour.. Thus resulting in at least 5 hours for f1-29. I'm pretty sure you can do dungeons faster than that on f2p, and with a team. I did some 2:1 dungeons on p2p, complexity 6, and we did them in 10 minutes. I can imagine doing this on f2p, on complexity 1, it can be done in under 5 min.
-
I heard some guy saying that rushing fl 1-29 in f2p complexity 1 only takes 2 hours, and that he then does the last ones on a large map with a 5 man team for huge xp per dungeon (40k+).
-
You can leave a couple. That's why I suggest not killing the lvl 130 warriors, that takes ages to kill (unless you mage). Basicly, just leave 1-5 (not sure if 5 is not too much) monsters alive that you don't want to kill.
-
So, it seems most items are deflating again now? Do you guys think this is temporarily, because of people playing dung and selling their items, or a long term effect because of the money sink we will have when people are using chaotic weapons/shields?
