  1. You'll hit 500's the same amount of times as you hit 50's before this update. People seriusly need to read the update before complaining... If you look at the topic I was generally posting during the first few pages reading everything that was coming my way that update ;) Yes, however 50 feels more of an achievement. What about Brunokiller. The highest he hit on that guy was an 83 which I still believe is in his signature. That is an ACHIEVEMENT! Something to say, "look I perfected what I could this is what I hit, I can now improve" whereas if he wanted to hit 830 he'd have gone and played WoW just like the rest of us would. Having 10X the HP and changing a skill that's been there from the beginning was a very dumb move as it annoyed not only alot of relatively new players like myself, but veterans too! The old HP system was fine the way it was. Even through Danziqmp(sp?)'s ideas on the other thread I still don't see how they couldn't have been applied to the old HP system. They just needed to separate the numbers so that when HP went down it didn't go down in your skill tab. That doesnt make sense. I would be just as amazed by an 830 now, as an 83 back then. (actually less because I recently got turmoil and extremes and I am hitting easily 740s myself, without special)
  2. Most people aren't too fond of spending 10M on 137k summoning experience. Exactly what I wanted to say.
  3. I don't do much Summoning but all that in 10 hours sounds impressive, think about going outside for a bit when your done :) Why do you waste your money on water orbs for hydras? Bones to banana can get you 8k bones an hour at 155 a bone/banana (slighly more because of the natures) and fruit bats give only a little less xp + they sell for relatively much (more than just what you would get if you traded them in for shards and sold the shards for 25 gp) Water talismans, same story, but now you should just get obby charms yourself. You can easily get over 150 an hour. That would save you another 6m in 4h work.
  4. Overloads are pretty useless when it comes to camping a monster. A full pot of overload (4) only gives you 20 minutes of boosted stats where as a set of extremes gives you much longer. Td's aren't so hard that they are necessary because you kill more than 1 or 2 a run, I'm assuming. Personally whenever I go I take 2 Extreme attack and str pots and no range. This may seem stupid but what limits my runs are either time, two unicorn pouches, or running out of prayer pots. If you are like me and don't carry food with you then overloads are useless. Short answer: Stick to extremes Bodderrs However, overload gives you range bonus too, so in the end, it saves space. 1H of killing is 3 overloads, while you would need 1 x att, 1 x str, 1 x range (also 3 pots, but overloads keeps you topped all the time, while using 4 dose of extremes an hour is only on average around 118 or something if you are maxed)
  5. I agree there a good task cuz of the xp Hmm, it could be debated that for the time spent getting the exp there using whatever methods you could arguably do other tasks in that same time and probably gain more profit, and the same, if not more exp No, they are apperantly over 40k slay xp an hour, if you cannon and melee them. I have blocked them though because I find them incredibly boring.
  6. I used overloads last time and it's okay. It's pretty convenient SGS spec needs 5 minutes to restore both specs too, so just use your sgs specs after overloading. Also try to remember when overload will "heal" you 500 LP, so at that time, you know you can hover around 500-700 LP and dont need uni to top you up.
  7. One last thing I forgot: If you have leftover crimsons after reaching 83 summoning, keep those and make them right AFTER you did the lava titans. (hopefully you can make swamp titans by then).
  8. Your view is result based, as if this game is only about reaching a certain skill lvl or a high score rank. While this might be true for some people, don't forget that the journey is actually the longest, and this being a game, should be fun, right? So if people find it more satisfactory to do it DIY, than they should, no?
  9. Overused and not funny IMO.
  10. bump, this guide should probably be seeing some use soon anyways :P what are your thoughts on using overloads here? is it just too much early on? and would there be a feasible way to have a friend deliver supplies to you? i'm thinking of the portal next to the waterfiend room. I'm using overloads and its just fine. The only critical moment is at the agressive stage, when you are taking your second overload. You will drop from 990 LP to 490 in seconds, and if you are hitting unlucky, and fiends are hitting lucky, you are done (I've had it before). Might be wise to bring some brews for this (so you use overload, brew up). You save space anyway with overloads, so the few extra brews are okay + it's more comfortable (if you get good at the timing , you can make sure that when overload "heals" you, you are not already 990 LP, so you don't waste LP). A friend can perfectly deliver you supplies, as long as you dont move away from the portal. Just go through it (to turoth) and dont move. Its a bit risky though, because it can teleport you somewhere randomly and reset the agressiveness.
  11. I would also suggest using the toggle run button for x-ing out of your bank. I find the small x at the right of your bank too small to click on. It's much easier to just click on run ON/OFF once to get out of your bank menu.
  12. I can hit 590s with 98 str and this set up: Slayer helm Fury Whip SW cape Bandos Chestplate Verac Skirt Rune defender Ferocious Ring Dragon boots Overloads (so same as extremes, but I'm always at my max str lvl :-)) This is with turmoil however, at dark beasts (+ 32 % str). Of course this doesnt say anything, since you guys piety, but I would THINK with your maxed str outfit, and fero ring, 570s could be possible without extremes.
  13. I would not make your fruit bats before the xp weekend. All you need is 74 summoning to make those granite lobsters, right? So just do your golds untill you can do granite lobsters. Then on the weekend, start with all your crimsons (granite lobsters), then blues (lava titans), then greens (fruit bats), then any leftover golds. That's what I would do at least.
  14. Runes, remember it's just one spell for one inventory.
  15. Arma + slayer helm no doubt. Not sure about ammunition but use darts or knives in kura dungeon slower ammunition for high def non Kura dungeon tasks.
  16. In my other topic I kinda said I was unsure about using my greens on fruit bats.... Though I probably will use them by the weekend. But..... the shards alone cost 12m for them...... and then I have to try and find a way to get 4123 bananas and there's NO WAY I'm sitting the karamja trying to get them :P (Btw 70 summoning now..... kyatt just ran out and due to the laggy nature of my lappy I managed to get 1500 pouches in the kyatts time.... so kinda got 15 mins to try and see how many I get an hour) Use bones to banana spell, I heard its 8k bananas an hour, so just half an hour for you. Dont forget fruit bats sell very well (or they used to) because of the papaya scroll thingy. (most pouches sell for their 70% shard return cost, fruit bats sell over that so its better to sell them in the GE than to swap em). Scrolls are even more money I think .
  17. Why dont you start making fruit bats? More xp than barker toads, and dirt cheap too actually (well, if you got your banans for cheap like me). I would personally start with greens untill I can do granite lobsters. Than do these untill I can do lava titans. Then lava titans, then finish fruit bats, then do all barker toads. Dont bother making unicorns, the seconsd are way too expensive, just buy em in the GE after teh weekend; edit: seems like making barkers first, before the weekend is better yeah. But why doesnt anybody here mention your greens?
  18. Can you roughly tell me how much of those materials do I need so I can have a plan of what to do and an estimate of the number of shards I need and the total amount that I may need to spend? Thanks. He has already done a lot, i think its up to you now to work out the details.
  19. Overkill on the food, underkill on pray pots (bring around 6 4 dosers). I survive there just with an sgs and spec restore pots (I bring an iron titan). I do turmoil however, so that's +29% def. I bring v skirt, bandos top and sw cape for a compromise of str, defence and prayer. You should really try to get a sw cape. I have 22 prayer bonus, and the same str bonus as all those old school slayers in full pross and fire cape (which is +19 prayer only) AND I have way better def bonuses. And whoever said it's slow with meleeing: Try turmoiling and using a good combat familiar. I get well over 30k slay xp an hour, that's pretty damn good for a non cannon task where you also profit. In fact, Nechs are one of my fav tasks, also because CT is never crowded and I can hog a lot of these around me and use my titan optimally.
  20. TD's are aslo pretty good for blue charms. (and money)
  21. You have boviously never tried it, do you? I can kill over 130 iron dragons an hour, with melee. Magin works decent too, but epicly weak is a big exaggeration. IMO maging and ranging are more or less on par. (unless you use maybe fire surge with mage pots and SOL and hex)
  22. Yep, but I finally managed to sell 2 for min, after 4 days of nothing. (I do have one more in the GE though which isn't selling, so I guess they still have 2-3 updates to go).
  23. 1. This never happens in slayer. 2. You should still use your best attack potion, to ensure you are always hitting. I heard living rock creatures are up to 42k slayer xp an hour (use a cannon too), so they should definitely not be blocked if you are in for quick xp. I do have them blocked because I find them absolutely boring though. Skeletelal wyverns are also supposedly 32k xp an hour if you cannon them.
  24. You might want to add using summer pies for gnome and barb advanced. That's what I'm doing atm, since I'm only aiming for 85 and was sick of ape atoll (+ I want agile legs and top). You only need to be 85 for one part of the gnome advanced course (entering the highest lvl through the tree). You could also mention doing agility in pvp worlds to gain EP and some tactics for it. (and already mention but still: talk about the shortcut in Kuradals dungeon. A main reason for me to get 85 agility is to be able to use the lvl 90 shortcut, which cuts the down to reach iron and steel drags by a lot).
  25. Uhh i contradicted myself a bit, but i do seem to see more reds and yellows that are open to the market. What i noticed is that more phat buyers are looking for green because there aren't that much compared to yellow and purple. This is why yellow caught up and eventually passed green on market because it took advantage of the GE mechanic. As for street price, yellow is significantly higher because more players demand yellow than green. (note that demand for yellow, and quantity for green are different) So from what i've said, demand seems to play a larger role than rarity. This can explain that the more common blue phat is higher than the more rare white phat. Contradiction much?
