Training is all about getting the fastest exp in the fastest time. So, scimmy FTW. Only difference could be if your after some decent loot while you train, and you cant take out the monster you want to loot with a scimmy - but that'd be rare. -Gid.

lol, he was just joking, and not refering to you. I totally disagree with your thoughts on melee's being weak. Look at my Necrobrawler for example, I can own mages and rangers on my level. Melee is very accurate if you fight against rangers or mages because of their low defence armour. The benefit of meleeing is that you can use prayer to increase your performance. Use +10% attack and +10% strength (or 15) prayers when fighting others and you'll see what I mean. I hit loads of 19s with my scimmy this way. (I'm 70 attack and 78 strength at cb level 79) It depends whether we are talking F2P or P2P I think that P2P pures in the 60's have it harder than F2P pures. In P2P mages have Ancients/Charged God spells and rangers have Black Dhide/Rune arrows. Where as in F2P the best a mage gets is Fire Blast and rangers get Green Dhide/Addy arrows. Melee pures in F2P dont need 60 att for drag weapons, and all out str can KO a Mage/Ranger ok. But In P2P the higher att reqs means a lower str untill you take your pure to a higher lvl like Necro's done. My pures only 61 CB, but i found that it did a lot better in F2P before i went members and got the att for dragon. And now F2P full Runers tend to rip right through my Black. Its kind of a no win situation at the moment, P2P mages kill me, and F2P Runers kill me. Ah well, better get my att up to hit through rune. And my mage up to strike back at entanglers. :P Later people, i've got quite a lot of training to do. ;) -Gid.

I'd never really thought before about all the blood and sweat that goes into 'Customer Support' - I guess its quite a thankless task. A very good point. I think RS would be a much better place if people payed more attention to their own game and less to others. Because when you go into a atlar in the abyss, you go to the real atlar, and when you exit it's where ever the entrance to the tlar is. Glories can tele you to edgeville, as dueling rings cant. Yes, but with the dueling ring method you can tele to castle wars, pull your glory out of the box, tele to edgville and bank your glory. A little longer, but a lot safer. -Gid.

Exactly! Remember how often when Pking in Classic you ran into someone and start to fight, before one of your friends shouted - 'Stop, hes a friend!' I think the term Legend is rather subjective. It used to mean someone with amazing stats who's put a helluva lotta effort into their game, but these days theres so many high level no-namers that to become a legend you really have to bring something totaly unique to the game. Sadly, 99 stats just arent enough. -Gid.

Are you? *Note actual correct spelling of the words 'are' and 'you'. I used to do that. Go out to lumbridge and give out sets of full iron etc, but you know what i got for it? About two people saying thank-you and the whole server PMing me for 'Phr33 st00f'. Giving newbs free stuff helps them not at all. I am all for giving them advice, showing them places, and teaching them the ropes. But handing out free iron and bronze teaches them no appreciation for the merits of hard work and toil, just think, you may have just helped create the next generation of macro'ers and scammers. I have a RL friend who just started playing RS, i helped him out a bit and gave him some starting armour, weapons and training food. Next thing i knew he'd died and wanted more stuff. I smithed him about 4 more sets of full iron before i gave up, and told him to work for his armour. He quit RS shortly after. I say we let the newbies earn their own way, it helps them get to know the game quicker by themselves and perhaps weeds out some of the undisirables without the patience to play a long term game who would only be a leech {sp!?} on the game itself. -Gid.

No matter what your age, in two years surely you can have better stats than this to show for your efforts. It took me all of a month's sporadic playing to get 60 attack and 60 str on my pure. With the above stats being taken into consideration, i wont even bother addressing this 'point'. Noobs? Did you really use the term 'Noob'?! I think someone has a lot of growing up to do. Honestly, when i read your post all i see is an old school gamer with a huge chip on his shoulder. Respect works both ways. Perhaps when you stop dismissing younger players as children, you may start to recieve some of the respect your longer years playing with pixels merit. -Gid.

I disagree, but then again - i'm very disagreeable ;) RS has no upper age limit, and i think that as long as you enjoy it and continue to gain from it - then theres no problem. When the place got destoyed, napoleon and all his buddies were realeased as well as you, they also set up mini dictatorships and because they had had soooom much more practise than you they took over the large majority of the world leaving you as the grand master of 2 feet of a a pig farm which repeatedly spawned SWAT members who had great fun arresting and repeat headshotting you and the pigs that were your charge, thus the pig owner came out and stopped them, rescueing you... unfortunately since he had no pigs left he was forced to make you into bacon and sausages and eat you one morning at a time... (wow thats pretty corrupt) I wish i could tell the difference between archmage sausages and pork sausages.....

Umm.... Guess im being silly here. but whatever happened to that wondrous innovation, the one that made sleeping so much easier.... oh ya i remember, it was called NIGHTTIME wasn't it? Sleeping 5am to 1:30 is unhealthy, permissable on occasions, but as a regualar basis extremely bad for you. Now i play RS quite alot, and recently ive been getting worried about the amount if time I spend on it (its slowly taking over my life :) ) ... that was a good suggestion about writting down how long you spend, I think ill try it... thankyou Gidion
