What would YOU do? (..after a great loss)
If he was getting more ore than I was, I would hop. No need to get into an argument over a rock.

Words from the past~Changes in a year and a half
Hunter has changed ranging a lot. The ability to get dragon arrows, and chins as above are very influential. Ranging with chins is now the quickest range training available.

half of keys
Half keys are 30k max. 25k would be a reasonable price of someone offered. Teeth seem to be harder to get than loops, so you might get the 30k for teeth.

i got 1k and skills suck, what can i do for cash?
Pick 28 flax, sell for 100ea, then buy 27 pure ess for 100ea and do law running. Fastish money (60k per hour) which will seem ultra special considering your current financial position.

1-60 Thieving?
Here is a quick guide I wrote yonks ago to get 53, just extend the pyramid plunder to 60 and its all there. Good luck. Note that this was before the Garden update :) Levels 1-5 Pickpocket men at either Lumby or Edge ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ will only take around 10 minutes to get to level 5. Levels 5-30 Tele to Ardy and begin your ride ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ the cake stall ride that is! Thieve cakes/bread etc til 30. I suggest you eat the choc cakes, and bread and bank all cakes once you have a full load. The cakes heal the same as a lob (except 3 bites), so is a really cheap training food for later on. You can switch to thieving silk stalls at level 20, but the respawn is slower, and you can get attacked by more guards, so I recommend sticking to cake stalls. Level 30-37 Do the Feud Quest, its easy, fast and the quickest 15k thieving experience you can find at this level. Level 37-41 You can pickpocket master farmers at 38, but you will be getting around 16-17k exp per hour doing this. If you can last til 41 on farmers, go ahead. Otherwise back to the cake stalls/silk stalls til 41. Levels 41-53 Now is where the fast experience kicks in. If you do Gertrudes cat, and Ictharians little helper quests, you can now access Pyramid Plunder. Pick pocketing master farmers will only ever get you 17-20k exp per hour, but from level 41-51, you can get 23k per hour and a whopping 40k per hour from 51-53 by using Pyramid Plunder. Pyramid Plunder tips. Read the tip.it guide on how to get there and start the game. Take with you 400gp cash, a weapon to kill the swarms (easy), 9 anti-poison pots and 18 12hp food (remember those cakes?). Wear a ring of dueling to get back to Al Kharid. If you can spare monkfish or higher food, then you will last longer and can take more pots with you. Trial and error will get you the optimum pots per food ratio. Enter the pyramid and start the game. Disarm the trap, then check the chest. Go to the 2nd room, disarm trap, check chest and search all urns for snakes (not loot), then go to 3rd room, disarm trap, check chest search all urns for snakes AND loot. I don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t recommend opening the sarcophagus as a high hitting monster can come out using up your precious food. If you finish looting the urns before your time runs out, just leave and start again. Don't forget to use those anti-poison pots. if you have superanti pots, again you will last longer and need less pots as they prevent you from being poisoned for longer than normal pots. Once you are at 51 thieving, use the same approach, except using rooms 3 and 4, instead of 2 and 3. You can usually last 45 minutes doing this before teleing back to Duel arena and using the magic carpets to get back to the Pyramid. Side Note: You can get an additional 9k thieving experience if you put all points gained from Tourist Trap quest into thieving, but I preferred to put them into agility which is more click dependant and time consuming than thieving! Summary: Do 3 quests to speed up the thieving training from 30-53. It sure beats clicking the cake stall/master farmer thousands of times. AND you get the opportunity of getting a Pharoah Staff worth 800k, sure beats those worthless seeds from Mr Farmer ;)

NEW SHIELD Question!!!!!! ?????
You dont have to, there are several reports of the visage being dropped without talking to him first.

Hunting skill worth it for a pure?
Red chins sell for 600-800ea, and are the fastest range experience you can get. At 90 range, I got 220k exp per hour using red chins in the tunnel on monkey madness island. You will go through 25 pray pots per hour, but the speed of experience cannot be beaten. Just selling red chins would be a waste if you are a ranger imo.

Hunter
From 65-74 will require 2310 red chins to be caught, which will take you around 14 hours of game time assuming you can catch on average 160 per hour. Thats about the catch rate I had through those levels. 74-83 is 5630 more red chins - which is 25 more hours of setting up traps. you catch them a lot quicker though, up to 300 per hour at level 80, but still slow when you only have 4 traps. Best of luck to you - its a boring task. I know, I'm almost there myself :)

Couple of dark bow questions...
It will be useful against high def monsters, as the spec always hits, and as a pking/duelling weapon ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ although it will need a backup weapon as it is very slow ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ slower than crystal bow. Good for a KO shot, as the spec hits with 50% more damage when used with dragon arrows.
-
Couple of dark bow questions...
1) Efficient ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ no, your best training weapons will still be msb and crystal bows. Although the continual cost for crystal bow does hurt compared to using iron arrows. The dark bow is not your step up in training weapon. 2) Dragon arrows come from the mini-game catching implings. Dragon implings are the only ones that drop them and require level 83 hunter.

cooked lobsters
Sell in all the lower F2P worlds at edgeville. Pkers regularly buy cooked lobs 230-250ea there.
-
Dragon arrows?
Incorrect - they do exist in Puro-puro, and they respawn about every 50 mins.

Best way to go from 1 to 40 farming
Stock up on loads of laws, and glories - you are going to need them. Plant the highest seed you can at all times, and keep teleing around all the allotments you can. Use the allotments at Draynor, Nth Ardy, Catherby and ecto for the last one. Keep planting all flowers, herbs and potatoes etc and soon you will be able to plant shrubs. Plant shrubs south of Ardy and beside champions guild. Also do hops south of champions guild and in Yannille. You will need heaps of seeds, so steel them from master farmers in Draynor. Here is Leesters most excellent guide to start farming - I highly recommend it! http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=299 ... ht=farming

noted items and alching
The reason is that when you dip noted glories, the paper would turn to slush and be worthless :)
-
Desert Treasure
Easy with your stats. Mage away and pray your heart out. Stock up well on prayer pots, and you should be fine.

Your opinion matters!
.. and 5 mates with dds on ONE person have a chance at losing? Come on now - give the poor ranger a chance will you. Surely they deserve to win by risking 5 7M items in wildy against one poor soul who runs into that particular team. Why not line up 5 v 5, 5 with Scims and DDS against 5 dark bows. Who wins now? The melee group do, thats who - still think its overpowered?

Dark Bow Review and Comparison
Its slower than a mage short = less exp per hour. Unless you are fighting a high defense monster (steel drags or similar), then you would be better off using a mage short or knives than a dark bow.

Need help with training range 77-90+
Using red chinchompas on the skeletons in the monkey madness island tunnels will get you around 200-250k experience per hour BUT you use 1500-2000 chins to get it, and go through 25 prayer pots (if you are 44 prayer like me anyway) ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ soo if you bought all the items, you spend 1.25M per hour to get the 250k exp. Fastest, and most costliest way to train range. If however you can catch your own chins, make your own pots, and don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t mind blowing a potential small fortune (if you sold the supplies that is) ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ then its mega fast range training for free with added bonus of getting hunter exp and herby exp to get there!

Need help with training range 77-90+
4 loads per hour is about right - not the fastest range training by any stretch. If you want fastest - PC is your best bet. If you prefer monsters, Ankous on bottom floor od SS, or fire giants under the waterfall are both 35k+ per hour experience spots. they also have excellent drops. Quicker than msb is using iron knives at these guys - be sure not to afk though coz if you run out of arrows, you will run in and attack with your fists!
-
Where would you use the Dark Bow?
It has to be better than MSB doesn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t it? So as long as I can afford one, I will be training with it non-stop. I would pk with it as long as I could afford a replacement, and the spec allows for a KO with more punch than the msb. Otherwise why bother.

Worst skill?
Smithing is the skill I least like to train. I only use it to make needed items such as knives or gold bars. It takes so much time to mine the required resources and smelt them, only to get a pittance of experience in smithing when you actually get to make items. I have a great deal of admiration for those who have 99 in that skill. Even buying your way to 99 takes a lot of time, and an enormous amount of cash. Useless skills are: Firemaking ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ whats the point except to get prerequisites for quests? Thieving ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ similar to firemaking, though has some limited uses (Pharoah sceptre etc)
