  1. Figured it out, I had the logo in my inventory, but not wearing it - I didn't know it was to be put in the necklace slot! Mods can lock :)
  2. I have 92 range and can get 200k exp per hour using red chins at Monkey Madness skeletons. PC cannot compete with those numbers̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ ever. It will cost you though, you will use up 25 pray pots, and 1.5k red chins per hour = 1.3M per hour!! Of course, if you catch the wee red suckers yourself :) its very cheap indeed!
  3. I do have other stuff on (glory and duel ring, and arrows), will try again with the removal of these. Will update if that works.
  4. Im almost finished the quest but cant get into the watermill dungeon. I am wearing all HAM gear, have the goblin in the box, but the dwarf wont let me in. He says "Your one of those funny looking people etc" and "the other HAM guy wants me to help, but alas I cant seem to be able to go down the trapdoor :( Any ideas? Cheers
  5. Good guide, and pretty much what I did to my current level (72). I always have 10 traps in my inventory for fear of getting teleported from a random, I also bring iron knives to kill chinchompas that are too far away - makes a big difference in catching rates I have found. By the time you are catching red chins, you should have the Larupia (sp?) top, hat and legs. Dunno the exact effect, but every little bit helps.
  6. +1 - These will not only get you familiar with some of the new lands while doing quests, it also opens up so many new trasportation methods for you to use.
  7. I would suggest doing the feud quest earlier to get to 41 thieving as fast as you can. At 41 thieving, I found PP much faster than master farmers, with the added bonus of the chance for a scepre. I was getting 18k per hour at master farmers, and 24k/hr at PP. At 51 thieving I was getting 40k exp per hour at PP.

    Fastest (not cheapest) is just to make the highest level bow you can at all times. So by 70 you will be doing maple longs. That̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s what I did.
  10. A wee hijack, but just a note that Ive killed around 7k fire giants and no drag drop yet! Whatever odds you are given, just be aware you may in fact have to kill 5 times that number to get the drop you want.
  11. Time will be the killler making all the bars, then all the arrow heads - not to mention getting shafts/feathers!! GL if you actually carry out this plan.
  12. Joy = Setting a goal and getting it. 30k til 90 range ;) Despair = Setting new goal realising how far away it is. 91 range, 600k to go :(
  13. They are only going to be useful to you if you ever want to power range your way to very high range levels (140k per hour with them at 80+range). Reds go for 800gp each at the moment, but with the number of hunters increasing, this may eventually go down (although there is a huge demand atm). I would definitely sell them for 1k each if you aren̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t in a hurry ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ and you could always just hunt a few k more if you want that fast range exp.
  14. The reason is that a loss of 100k, or even 250k if they are in full rune is not a tragic loss to them. They can easily get that back in an hour or so. I die all the time in F2P, and always say GF to the victor. As a ranger I lose all of 30k when I die, so why would I care about protecting item or using o/h prayers!!
  15. ^^ What he said. With red chimps at zombie monkeys you can easily get 140k range exp per hour. Uses around 900 chimps, it is an expensive hobby (unless you catch em yourself!) 140k per hour is a whole heap faster than what you could get at PC.

  18. I have no idea what old school RSC was like, I wasn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t there. I don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t know what the ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâold̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ community was like ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ same reason. I do know that today, there are a heap of nice people in RS, and a heap of not so nice people. From what I have read, the same existed back in the old days, except there were more of both (obviously). As a pure ranger with 89 range, I understand the complaints about not many updates for high level players. BUT at least there are updates. Jagex has forced themselves into a corner by guaranteeing 1 update per week. Hence most are small updates of one sort or another, which exclude many RS players with each update. IF there was a monthly update that incorporated the 3 new quests, the new area, the new monsters etc ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ they would have a better chance at satisfying a large chunk of the RS community each month.
  19. Transferring back to modern spellbook would be great. All I was suggesting was that we be able to use certain teleportation spells that use the F2P runes (i.e. the Edge dungeon one) from the ancients spellbook. I am not suggesting we be able to blitz in F2P.
  20. Anyone who has completed DT, and pk̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a lot on both P2P and F2P has the terrible burdon of not having a single mage spell available to them in F2P while on ancients. Forcing a P2P player to go down to the pyramid each time they want to pk in F2P is ludicrous. We should be allowed to use the edge dungeon tele as a minimum. In any case, an ability to tele while on ancients and in F2P is my suggestion. Rate/hate!
  21. Any new range weapon needn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be the ultimate training weapon. There are plenty of fast training methods for range, but range has limited KO power in wildy which is the biggest problem they face. Give rangers more than 1 spec, and most would be quite happy. Most pkers have been on the receiving end of a 20+/20+, 20+/20+ from a ddser. Range simply cannot compete atm.
  22. The whip was made for pking, same with ancients, and the crossbow, well ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ how often do you see a xbow in wildy? Me personally, never. No one is going to waste a dragonstone on 10 bolts that will break soon after. People only used them to see how effective they were when they originally came out, and found the special attack occurred about 1 in 20 shots, so you would have to spend 100k to get 1 special attack per fight (assuming you even got one special attack off during the fight). Xbows are so slow, your chances of getting 20 shots off in a fight are slim indeed. The whip and ancients makes for happy melee and mages. Jagex got this right imo. The dds makes for very happy pures who do one easy quest to get their hands on 4 specs. A ranger at the moment who gets a crystal bow is unlikely to pk deep with it, as you can̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t go back to get it if you are at gds and die. It required very hard quests to get, yet isn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t cut out to be a pking weapon. Surely a level 70 weapon should outperform a level 60 weapon? Apparently not. Jagex have not got this right imo. The next weapon should be a pking ranger weapon, OR reduce the number of specs the dds has, similar to when they took away the msb double spec. They could always bring back the double msb spec, but I doubt they will. The new weapon should be tradeable, useable by pures and grunty enough to KO opponants with skill. If the special attackes of the crossbows were controllable, this would make them a very usefull pking weapon ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ but I doubt we will see this happen in the near future either. Sorta a rant I know, but meh ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ just had to put my 2p in. the new weapon ideas seem always to focus on melee, which to me would simply make them even more overpowered than they already are. If a new melee weapon came out that required Heros (or Legends) to be completed ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ that would be fine as this would keep them out of pures hands. Also make them untradeable (as the crystal bow is) ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ then see the whiny melee pures come out of the woodwork ;)
  23. Do quests that are easy and give huge exp, such as Grand Tree and Waterfall to name a couple.
  24. A 3 second food rule will only encourage safing. People will no longer eat 2 lobs once down to 26 or so hp, they will eat up at 30 instead ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ prolonging fights and making KO̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ing almost impossible. I like the 5 second delay in between fights in non-multi to deter pjers. I really like the no-tele once in a fight suggestion ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ but maybe change it so that it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâif you get hit while casting the spell, it doesn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t work, AND you lose the runes. Dropping the no-tele to level 10 is also nice. Underground city (non-wildy) containing PvP type quests would be great. With decent rewards for killing say 3-5 people within 10 levels of your own would spice up wildy for a while, although has potential to be abused. Develop a way to get rid of level 3 looters. Make the person who gets the pile see the pile on top of everything else. Same rules as current apply however once the pile is available to everyone tho. Otherwise DD̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ing on top of 15 or so ashes would make a clan invincible. Develop a F2P quest that gives a tele lever to boneyard or similar available. A suitable requirement would be 40 def which would enable the rune pkers to get back any lost loot by catching the pure on their way back. Make the exp you get when fighting PvP more than normal monsters. You eat a heap more, and get a fraction of the experience you would otherwise get from monsters. Make it a viable training method. The multi/non multi part of wildy is not clear. They should be better defined. New areas of interest are required both for P2P and F2P ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ it is stale at the moment, and areas that have worked well in the past seem to be ones that have a reward worth the risk, i.e. green drags. Set up more areas to train in, either through edge dungeon (make it deeper), new dungeons in wildy (heaps of room for these here), or even extend it further north. Team areas in wildy are lacking. We have to resort to giants, castle or gdz in F2P, that is about it. More spice certainly available here. My 2p anyhoo.
  25. yes it is much faster than master farmers. farmers will net you 18kxp per hr, whereas using this method at 41-50 will get you 23k+/hr AND you get the chance of a sceptre (better than crappy seeds)
